The cottage was perfect for my friends and family totaling 6 adults. Charm of yesteryear combined with modern amenities. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Clean. Comfortable furniture. Kitchen was well-appointed even had an extra fridge. Screenedwindow porch was a great gathering spot as was the patio with eating table and chairs plus Adirondack chairs around the fire pit. Beds were comfy with memory foam toppers. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Lake view was beautiful and access very close for swimming and using their kayak. Communication with host was consistent and accurate. Quiet neighborhood. Close to wineries, breweries, restaurants. Weâll be back!
Keuka Lake has a special place in our hearts. Ethan spent many years living on Keuka year-round as a teenager and developed a passion for boating. Since marrying and moving out-of-state to Maryland, weâve been sure to spend time on Keuka every summer and have been happy to pass on our love of this special place to our own kids. We have been looking to purchase a home here for almost a decade, and we couldnât be happier with this cottage and location! We named this place West Neck Cottage after the summer cottage community where Rebeccaâs Grandfather lived when she was a child (West Neck Circle in Southampton, NY-- her grandfather and 3 of his brothers all owned cottages there!) Itâs the spirit of that place that we want this cottage to be-- a place for enjoying and appreciating the water, connecting with nature and with the people you care about... less time on technology, and more time lingering on the patio telling stories or playing games together on the screen porch.
