Lovely location. Very comfortable and clean. A little farther from Main Street that we thought. Didn't realize the number of stairs involved. Could have been an issue if we had someone in our group needing assistance.

For future guests, we’re exactly a half a mile from the heart of downtown Fredericksburg, or about an 10-minute walk to Marktplatz. We find it’s a nice balance between being close to the shops and restaurants of Main Street while still enjoying a peaceful residential setting. As a historic home built in 1906, Gold Haus does have some of the architectural characteristics of the era, including narrower stairways and a few changes in floor level. We certainly understand that these features may present challenges for guests with mobility limitations, and we’re always happy to answer questions about the layout before booking. This was a beautiful house. Fully stocked with everything you would need for a perfect stay. Plenty of room to spread out. The pool was excellent along with wonderful outdoor spaces to relax. The location is perfect for this area. Walking distance to Main St w/ shopping and restaurants if you don't mind a short walk (10mins). The host Maxwell was very responsive as we had an issue with the cleaning being missed on the unit. They remedied the situation quickly and professionally. I would most certainly stay again. If fact, we are planning a return trip with our family.

The hosts were wonderful commentators, very accommodating. The home was immaculate, had everything we could have dreamed of and more. Perfect place for a girls weekend. Will definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Fredericksburg!

We were a party of 8 and this place was SUPERB! One of the best VRBOs we have stayed at. The owners were very responsive. The property was clean and neat. The kitchen was stocked with more supplies than we've ever experienced! The beds were SO comfortable. The pool and hottub were a BONUS (again so clean)!! We will want to stay here again if we return with a large group.

Great experience - definitely recommend.The house was very clean and the updates tastefully done without losing character of the home. We would definitely stay there again if none of our party had mobility issues. Quite a few stairs. Once on the main floor, you can navigate easily enough but better if a person has no problem with stairs (narrow and steep -old house design). The outside area is relaxing. Pool and hot tub wonderful. Kitchen great. Bathrooms great.I would book through a different platform because the VRBO is annoying. I would get messages from VRBO and not be able to check them without downloading the app. It was confusing because I thought I had to check something when really there was no message - the email was just reminding us that we have a stay coming up. However, the email said a message from the owner or host was waiting. I finally had to download the app and message the host to make sure I wasn’t missing something. However, the host communicated very promptly and addressed issues clearly and conveyed a friendly, positive attitude.Strongly recommend.

This is a beautiful home that is tastefully furnished with a mix of modern furniture and antiques,, and lots of thoughtful touches throughout. It's within walking distance to restaurants and shops. We had a bit of an unexpected rainy, cold weekend but the living, dining ,and sitting rooms were the perfect places for the 5 of us to spend time playing board games, sitting and reading, and talking late into the night. The coffee and milk included was very much appreciated. It was a spacious yet cozy place to stay for our girls' weekend in Fredericksburg!

This home exceeded our expectations in every way. We had a group of six and the property was spacious, comfortable, and incredibly well appointed.The kitchen deserves special recognition — the cookware, appliances, utensils, and overall setup were outstanding. It's rare to find a vacation rental stocked this thoughtfully, and it made meals and gathering together effortless.The bathrooms were beautifully finished and felt upscale and spa-like.Of course, the star of the property was the pool and hot tub area. We used them every day during our stay and they truly elevated the entire experience. Whether relaxing in the evenings or starting the morning by the pool, it became our favorite part of the house.This was the perfect home base for our Fredericksburg trip, and we would gladly book again.

House was impeccable, a truly lovely restored Victorian style home, with all the modern convenience. Tasteful and with all supplies needed. Beds and bedding very confortable. Plenty of beautiful dinnerware and kitchenware. The group sitting outside was convenient. Loved the porch furnishing.

Beautifully appointed property and delightful stay. They thought of everything and we didn't event use all of the spaces. We had six adult high school friends reuniting and we all LOVED the Gold Haus. Beds were comfortable, lovely linens/robes/towels, good bathrooms, cozy gathering place, well appointed kitchen. All round fabulous stay. Each of us are planning to return with our own families. It will be great for adults and all the way to grandkids. Plus you can bring your dog!

What a beautiful retreat for a perfect getaway! We had a wonderful stay at this charming Fredericksburg home. The accommodations were fantastic—spotlessly clean, incredibly spacious, and just minutes from downtown. The charm of the home truly stood out; it was thoughtfully designed with beautiful decor and amazing attention to detail. We had the most amazing bachelorette weekend at this beautiful Fredericksburg home. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how thoughtfully and exceptionally appointed the house is—truly everything you could possibly need is provided, and then some.The new pool and hot tub were absolute highlights of our stay. We highly recommend having them heated—it made all the difference and allowed us to enjoy them day and night. Such a fun and relaxing way to spend time together.The location could not be better. We loved being able to walk downtown easily, which made exploring Fredericksburg so convenient and stress-free for the whole group.This home was the perfect setting for our celebration—comfortable, beautiful, and ideal for making memories. Had a wonderful girl's trip staying in the Gold House. Excellent decor with so many thoughtful details and amenities. Loved the pool area and the relaxed feeling and atmosphere of the house. Felt like being on a spa retreat with friends. Very close to the main square and easily accessible to downtown main street area. Highly recommend this property for a getaway weekend and we would definitely go back.
