Welcome to Iris Houseâa cheerful, well-appointed home designed with comfort and simplicity in mind. Whether youâre staying for a weekend or settling in for a longer visit, youâll find everything you need to feel at home.
The house is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, smart TVs in multiple rooms, and central heat and air to keep you comfortable year-round. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, dishes, utensils, and a coffee and tea station. Youâll also find an electric kettle, toaster, microwave, full-size refrigerator, stove, instant hot water at the kitchen sink, and a countertop ice makerâperfect for preparing meals or quick snacks. A full-size washer and dryer are available for your use, along with laundry detergent. The bathroom includes fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hair dryer.
Outside, youâll find a private upper deck with rocking chairs and a fire tableâgreat for relaxing in the evening or enjoying a peaceful morning. Thereâs also a front porch seating area thatâs perfect for watching the town go by or enjoying a quiet moment to yourself.
Located right in the heart of Greenevilleâs historic district, Iris House puts you within walking distance of the townâs most treasured landmarks. Stroll to the Andrew Johnson Homestead and Tailor Shop (a National Park Service site), the Dickson-Williams Mansion, Nathanael Greene Museum, Elmer T. Cox Genealogical Library, and the âWalk With the Presidentâ self-guided tour. Youâre also steps from downtown antique shops, boutiques, and local restaurants like Brumleyâs, Rock City Tap + Kitchen, Tiptonâs CafĂ©, and Catalyst Coffee Company. Once you park the car, you may not need it again for the rest of your stay.
The home offers flexible sleeping arrangements and can technically sleep up to seven guests. Thereâs a queen bed in the spacious loft, two full-size beds in separate bedrooms, and a twin trundle tucked beneath one of the beds. That said, the house is best suited for families or smaller groups. Itâs a comfortable fit for four adults and one or two children, or a mix of guests who are comfortable sharing beds.
Guests have full, private access to the entire homeânothing is shared. Check-in is simple with a secure coded lock. I live just a block away, but I work full time and am also a full-time student, so I wonât be available to meet in person unless thereâs an emergency. That said, I do have a trusted maintenance team nearby, and Iâm always available by message if you need anything during your stay.
Whether youâre visiting Greeneville for the history, the hiking, a special event, or just a relaxing getaway, Iris House offers a warm, comfortable place to land.
