à propos de cet hébergement
Bear Cabin - Forest Lakes
Summary:
Escape to the cool pines of Forest Lakes in this pristine, family-friendly cabin basecamp. Perfect for small families, fishing enthusiasts, or remote workers seeking a nature reset, "Bear Cabin" offers a cozy atmosphere with modern connectivity. Enjoy fully equipped indoor comfort and a fun shared outdoor space featuring swings and a fire pit, all just minutes from local lakes.
The Space:
âš Top Amenities
âą Outdoor Fun: Shared community fire pit, BBQ grill, and playground swings for the kids.
âą Chef-Ready: Full kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, and coffee maker.
âą Stay Connected: Fast Wi-Fi and a dedicated workspace for remote days.
đ Inside the Home
âą Living Area: A warm and inviting space featuring an indoor fireplace, comfortable seating, and a TV for movie nights after a day of hiking.
âą Kitchen & Dining: Our kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, dishes, silverware, and major appliances (fridge, stove, microwave). Enjoy meals at the dining table or take your coffee out to the patio.
âą Sleeping Arrangements: Two private bedrooms, each featuring comfortable Double-size beds.
âą Bathroom: A sparkling clean full bathroom stocked with hot water, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and fluffy towels.
â ïž Honest Expectations (Please Read Before Booking) We want your stay to be perfect, so here are a few "need-to-knows" to ensure we are the right fit for you:
âą Duplex Layout: Bear Cabin is an attached unit (duplex style) with a shared wall. While you have your own private entrance and patio, you may hear muffled sounds from neighbors, and the outdoor fire pit/playground area is a shared community space.
âą Convenience vs. Seclusion: We are located off the highway, which makes getting here incredibly easy, even in winter. However, this means you may hear road noise. We provide noise machines in the bedrooms to ensure a peaceful sleep.
âą Rustic Parking: Please note that while we offer free onsite parking, it is an outdoor dirt/gravel driveway, not a covered garage.
âą Laundry: There is no washer/dryer inside the unit, so please pack accordingly for your trip length!
âą Nature is Neighbors: We are located deep in the National Forest. You may encounter local wildlife and insects. Please keep food secured to avoid attracting critters.
Guest Access:
Check-in is effortless via a secure electronic keypad; your personal door code will be sent to you prior to arrival. We have ample on-site parking available for multiple vehicles (and trailers!).
The Neighborhood:
Our cabin is located in the Forest Lakes area, tucked away off Highway 260 on Trout Springs Road.
âą The Vibe: Because we are situated just off the main road rather than deep inside the subdivision maze, you get the best of both worlds: the towering pines and peaceful seclusion of the forest, combined with easy, paved access to the highway for your day trips.
âą Supplies: We are just down the road from the Rim Resort and a short drive to the general store for basics. For larger grocery hauls, we highly recommend stocking up in Payson or Heber-Overgaard before you arrive.
Getting Around:
Thanks to our convenient location just off Highway 260, you can hit the road for day trips immediately without navigating through the deep subdivision.
âą Willow Springs Lake: ~10-minute drive
âą Woods Canyon Lake: ~20-minute drive
âą Heber-Overgaard (Restaurants/Gas): ~20-minute drive
âą Payson (Major Groceries): ~35-minute drive
âą Winter Travel Advisory: While our proximity to the highway provides easier access than most cabins, 4WD or AWD vehicles are highly recommended during winter storms (NovâMarch) to safely navigate the local driveways and forest roads.
Other Things to Note:
âą Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit is required. Please contact the host to confirm the amount. The deposit is fully refundable provided the property is left in good condition. If youâd prefer to skip the deposit, you can choose a non-refundable damage waiver for a small fee instead. Note: the deposit and fee are waived for bookings during the Winter Season.
âą No Pets: We love animals, but this home is kept pet-free to accommodate guests with allergies.
Interaction with Guests:
I respect your privacy and offer self-check-in, so you can arrive and relax without interruption. However, I am fully available via the app to answer questions, recommend local trails, or assist with any issues that arise during your stay.
