Ava Haus B & B Grange laitière.

The Dairy est un pas en arrière dans le temps avec un plafond aigu et un loft original. La chambre est spacieuse et accueillante avec 2 lits king-size situés sous le loft. Un point focal est un beau vitrail situé dans le grenier pour attraper le soleil du matin. La méridienne française dort un cinquième invité ou fournit simplement un endroit confortable pour se détendre. La grande armoire de pays (qui abrite la mini-cuisine) et le mobilier rustique donnent une sensation de pays français à la laiterie. Une salle de bains comprenant une douche est située à côté du salon de la laiterie. Comme toutes nos chambres d'hôtes, un vaste porche offre un endroit idéal pour se détendre et profiter du Texas Hill Country. Complétez avec une bascule antique en fer forgé double pour profiter de votre boisson préférée. Nous nous réjouissons de votre séjour et nous nous efforçons de vous faire vivre le meilleur de la lavande, des pêches, de la musique live, des restaurants, des magasins, des randonnées et plus encore.

Fantastic Stay!

We were in town for a wedding and stayed at the Dairy Barn for two nights. Our host, Patricia, replied quickly to all my questions, and the barn was perfect! We loved the decor, the snacks/breakfast muffins/cold beverages waiting for us upon check-in, comfy beds, and the great linens. There was also access to a side road where we went on a long walk one morning. We will definitely be back - thank you!

Girls trip

The Dairy has alot of character. We enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfy. Good times with family. Lots to see and do in and around Fredericksburg.

Adorable place

Great place!

The cabin was cute and cozy. The wine tour I did thru the owners was a lot of fun they drove us around in their car so it was very nice not to be in a large wine tour group. Cannot wait to stay again!

We had a wonderful family getaway!

We enjoyed the rustic charm and large space for our family of 5. The porch and yard area were an added bonus. Would recommend to any family looking for something different from the typical hotel.

My friends loved staying at the German Farmhouse! They stayed at the Dairy which was cozy, historic, beautiful, and a lot of fun. Great porch. Great beds. Wonderful grounds. All around great experience.

Great location for exploring Texas Hill Country

Stayed in this nice, spacious one bedroom suite cottage two nights. It was perfect for our dog and us, with cool walls and floors in the Texas heat. Beds were super comfortable and there were nice breakfast fixings (oatmeal, yogurt, etc.). So nice to have a VRBO house that takes pets

Nice little place to stay

The cabin is exactly how it's described online. We had plenty of room and we're excited we could bring our dog along on the vacation. The only thing I would say is it's located near a very busy road so it was a little louder than expected.

Great night!

The one night we stayed was everything we hoped for. I got to sleep on the couch but the lucky ones in my group thought the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The pastry was delicious. I hope to return!

Great location to catch up with Friends

The Ava House was beautifully furnished with antiques. The cabin was larger than expected. My friend and I enjoyed the delicious pastries, yogurts, and drinks that were provided in the cabin. We also were impressed with the comfortable king size beds. We plan to return to this house in the future. Thanks Patty!

Going back in time!

This place is so charming! Rustic, but extremely comfortable. My friend and I loved having 50+ VHS tapes to choose from to watch from the big day bed like couch and the king sized beds were great. The pastries chosen for our breakfast weren't just from a grocery store, but from an amazing bakery in town, so that was an unexpected plus! It's very close to town and we had a great view of the sunset from our porch. I would absolutely stay here again :)

Beautiful, relaxing, romantic getaway!

Beautiful, quaint, relaxing, and romantic! Loved this B&B! The bed was extremely comfy. Decor was gorgeous. Pastry was delicious. Only complaint is that the water pressure was not good in the bathroom. Had toilet flushing issues & water in bathroom sink was super slow. Had to brush teeth in the kitchen sink. The low water pressure in the bathroom is the only reason I gave it 4 stars.

Beautiful area

The location of the dairy is excellent just about one and a half miles from town. The dairy building itself has a lot of charm and the hostess is very nice. The room was clean the beds were nice and there was plenty of coffee and drinks along with an amazing almond ring from a local bakery. There was only one downside to the dairy itself and that was the extremely small bathroom. I am a small person and could not turn around in the shower without running into a wall. Other than that very cute place to stay.

Peaceful, Pleasant and Quiet Stay.

For my wife and I - it was our first night away from our new born after 3 months. We're out of Austin and it was nice to only have to travel a little over an hour to get out of town. And the Ava Haus added to our visit to Fredericksburg. To be able to unplug and relax in such a wonderful little little haus was awesome. Feels like your way out in the country but only a few minutes away to great dining. We ran the 4 mile 'loop trail' at enchanted rock added to the sense of adventure followed by a big breakfast in town afterwards. It is amazing what a day or two on a porch with coffee can do for a couple, just an hour from home. The Ava Haus really gave us a great sense of getting away but still being close to home. We will go back! Steve

I wanted to go to Fredericksburg and enjoy the city and the restaurants. The main thing I was looking for in a place to stay was an indoor fireplace. My husband and I love sitting in front of the fireplace and playing games When we arrived, we saw there was no fireplace. I had previously contacted the owner to see if they provided the firewood for the fireplace. However, I failed to verify that the fireplace was indoors. When I contacted the owner, she acknowledged that there had been an issue with VRBO When they went to a new platform and that all of her listings showed an incorrect description. She thanked me for letting her know and she corrected her listings. She also sent information that I should contact Customer Service at VRBO. I thought the VRBO was going to offer me some kind of a compensation however they stated only the host could refund and that was not something she wanted to do. VRBO did reimburse me their payment that they receive. All in all I just wanna reiterate that people need to verify what’s listed that you’re looking for and and enjoy. Although the place was very nice it was missing the fireplace inside and we were disappointed.

Descent place

First impression was wonderful. Walked in and found a nice bottle of wine, snacks, etc with an adorable looking inside (rustic and old). There were a few things that made it lose its luster... 1. Expired yogurt in fridge 2. Stickers in the rugs (wear shoes always) 3. Missing aerator on bathroom sink 4. Slippery step getting out of shower 5. Dirty AC vents 6. Rotted wood around bathroom sink 7. Mattresses were extremely soft (we sank) 8. Internet continuously slow (WiFi not strong) Other than that, it was a descent stay. After paying $450+ for 2.5 days....seems there should be some upkeep so that the property is maintained.

Great property!!

Exceptional property and exactly as described. Only knock was the shower head resulting in stinging water pressure which was unpleasant. Would recommend property holistically!

A delightful getaway

Patricia was fabulous about communication prior to our stay and easily available during it. A Most pleasant host. The Diary Barn was quaint and comfortable. Best of all was the serene atmosphere that surrounded us each day.

We are Tava and Patricia Hamilton. Married since 1996, we share 3 beautiful children, their spouses and 4 fantastic grandchildren!

Moving from Central Texas in 2017; we were given the opportunity to purchase an incredible 1862 authentic German Homestead, which includes the first hand dug well in FBG, and the first Dairy Barn.

Attracted to the tranquil setting, beauty, history, and convenient access to town, we couldn’t refuse. On 7/7/17, we purchased the property!

Everyday we feel thankful to live here. It is truly a charmed life. We are thankful to be sharing our place with you, family, and friends. Welcome to our HOME!!
