We have had several pool cues broken by kids deciding that it would be fun to play swords when we leave more than one. Out of consideration for safety, we are now leaving one good quality cue for guests to enjoy. --The water wall, spa jets, and outdoor fireplace work just fine. I would have been happy to walk you through how to turn these on if you had simply asked. In fact, I can turn on the water wall and spa jets remotely from my phone. Next time--just ask. After receiving the photos shared during the stay, I reviewed them alongside the time-stamped post-clean photos from my professional cleaning team and did not find evidence of the conditions described. That said, I always take guest concerns seriously and review them carefully when raised. The pool was professionally serviced within 48 hours of check-in and is maintained on a regular schedule. As an outdoor space, it isn’t possible to prevent the occasional leaf between cleanings, though it is routinely monitored and cared for. Bathroom towel hooks are intentionally not installed due to repeated damage from prior guests that required multiple wall repairs. This preventative decision helps protect the home and maintain it in good condition for everyone. Check-in instructions are provided once guest verification is complete, as outlined in the listing details. This is done as a safety and security measure for both guests and the property. This reservation was booked and checked in the very same day, during a period of continuous rainfall — it rained the day before arrival, the day of check-in, and only cleared on the day of departure. Even with professional servicing beforehand, heavy rain inevitably interacts with pool chemistry, which can cause temporary cloudiness. Our pool is equipped with a quad filtration system and three variable-speed pumps totaling 7 horsepower — more than most pools and most certainly overkill for an 11,000-gallon home pool. It also features an in-floor cleaning system that works much like a lawn sprinkler: jets push debris toward the main drain, where it is captured in a remote canister. In addition, the pool integrates Hayward OmniLogic automation for professional-level monitoring and control of circulation and chemistry. This system was intentionally designed into the property as a cutting-edge feature, and it represents one of the most advanced residential pool setups available. Because it is such an expensive, sophisticated investment, pool equipment is off-limits to guests — this ensures the system operates correctly and remains a beautiful feature for everyone to enjoy. Importantly, cloudy water after rain is the result of natural chemical reactions — and any pool would react the exact same way. The difference is that most pools would not return to high standards as quickly without these upgrades. In fact, when I came to the property just a couple of hours after this guest checked out, the pool water had already returned to clear — meaning the system worked exactly as intended. I did share a light explanation of this with the guest during their stay, though sometimes the natural chemistry of pools after rain can understandably be misunderstood. We go to great lengths to maintain a beautiful, clean property for guests to enjoy. The home is furnished with high-quality materials such as leather seating and cotton shower curtains, with inner liners replaced frequently for hygiene. Our cleaners also take over 60 photos at every turnover to ensure the property is fully prepared before each stay. Just as with the pool’s best-in-class automation and cleaning systems, we have invested in thoughtful, high-quality appointments throughout the home — not “cheap” solutions — so guests can enjoy both comfort and peace of mind. During this guest’s visit, we also approved a mid-stay request to bring their dog and waived the pet fee — something not required, but happily accommodated in the spirit of making their stay more enjoyable. We are proud of the standards we uphold and remain committed to providing a spacious home with premium amenities and thoughtful hosting for all future guests.
