Great getaway

What a cute little cabin in the woods, yet still close to everywhere we wanted to go. Great place to come back to after a long day of exploring. Had hoped to see wildlife and was visited by a bear (who minded his own business) and two deer within the first couple hours. Would definitely stay again!

It was very much like my grandmother's house in the '60's.I was the favorite and first grandchild,so we were very close. My husband and I made new memories ☺️ also.There is a little beaver 🦫 in the pond across the driveway. Also enjoyed the hot tub very much. Close to everything, but felt secluded. Will definitely rent again. Perfect for 2 people.

Quiet Cozy Cabin

Located just 1/2 mile from park entrance at Metcalf Bottoms. Other than some traffic noise from Line Springs Rd, it was a quiet area. The wooded area was relaxing sitting on the porch watching squirrels, birds and a chipmunk . Gatlinburg was a short drive if you needed a day away from the beautiful mountains. We will definitely stay here again when returning to the Smoky Mountains!!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: While the place had character, and the setting was nice, we found it to be lacking. If you are staying there for some time, and are cooking your own meals, you will notice the lack of an exhaust fan. Also their description of cookware is ok, but you might want to bring your own skillet to cook on as the ones provided are peeling the non stick coating. The furniture is nice, but both the couch and bed are very worn out. The bathroom is decent, but again no exhaust fan, so yes it gets very muggy. Also on the note of staying more than a night, bring your own sundries as very little is provided, unlike other places we have stayed that are similar in size. All in all while it was decent, the price is not reflective of the quality.

We stayed in the Rhody Cottage from 6/19/24-6/23/24. It was the PERFECT getaway for two people! The woodsy setting was awesome—quiet and secluded, yet close enough to the mountain activities. We met Diane, the owner, who was friendly and interested in our feedback. I would highly recommend this cabin if you’re looking for a quaint place for two.

A servicable yet bare bones property

Unlike most "by Owner" property, this one is managed by a local management company. They are the middleman and as such, pass the ball if any issues arise...And they don't prioritize following up. Thankfully, I didnt have any major issues but the one I did have was left unanswered... If you do rent a cabin from Cove Mountain, you'll need to bring practically everything needed to function, right down to shampoo, ICE (or your own ice trays), towels that aren't threadbare, a dish sponge, decent kitchen tools or utensils. Everything provided was of Dollar Tree quality and functioned as such... Cleanliness was just surface level. Lots of gigantic crumbs under the sofa, dusty fixtures and dust beneath the bed and furniture. It's obvious the cabin has been well used and the fixtures, (furniture, hot tub cover, kitchen tools, towels) bear that out and are in dire need of replacement. Because of these issues, this is not a property that I would recommend to others, nor would I likely revisit.

Cottage in the mountains

The cabin was very nice and clean short distances to many places to eat, lots of very good places to shop. Very quiet sitting in the woods no close cabins over all very good.

We enjoyed the coziness of the cottage and used the hot tub every night. The heater warmed the cottage up quickly. We were pleasantly surprised to learn how close the cottage was to the national park, as we did some hiking during our stay. Thank you for the wonderful cottage getaway!

Cozy little cabin

Small, cozy cabin semi-secluded off of Wears Valley Road. There’s a nice little coffee shop and a large general store just a short distance from the cabin, that we enjoyed! It is located about 15 minutes from Pigeon Forge and just a little longer to Gatlinburg through the National Park. It was quite and perfect for two people.
