Welcome to Beach Hill, one of Santa Cruz's most sought-after neighborhoods! Our cozy, family-friendly,dog-friendly, newly updated 1868 purple 'Painted Lady' Victorian home is just a 2-minute walk to the beach, boardwalk, and downtown area, bustling with restaurants, bars, and cafes. Step outside to catch a glimpse of the Pacific Ocean and feel the soothing ocean breeze, your perfect escape awaits.
The Space:
Layout & Accessibility:
The dog-friendly house has five bedroomsâthree upstairs and two downstairs.
There are 15 steps leading to the upstairs portion, but it is not necessary to use them, as there are two bedrooms and a full bathroom downstairs.
The living room has additional space, and we allow extra guests beyond the number of bedsâkids often donât mind the couch or an air mattress.
Kitchen & Essentials:
Full kitchen downstairs with a dishwasher.
Smaller kitchen upstairs with an oven.
Provided essentials: basic cooking supplies, Brita water filter, coffee & tea, Cuisinart coffee maker, air fryer.
We provide a few ice trays, if you need alot of ice during your stay, we suggest you buy a bag.
Recycling & Waste: Santa Cruz has strict recycling rules.
Blue bin = recyclables only (instructions on the bin). No food waste or pizza boxesâthose go in the trash.
Recyclables must be loose, NOT bagged (the city will not pick them up otherwise).
If the bins fill up before pickup day, let us knowâweâll arrange for disposal.
Noise & Neighborhood:
Our home is in a residential neighborhood with families and students.
Gatherings of registered guests are welcome, but loud parties and amplified music are strictly prohibited.
Noise complaints could put our ability to host at riskâplease be respectful.
Pets:
Well-trained dogs are welcome (sorry, no cats) $50 non-refundable pet fee will be charged.
Please notify us in advance if youâre bringing a pup!
Outdoor Space:
Comfy backyard with lawn furniture for your enjoyment.
Propane BBQ availableâlet us know if you plan to use it so we can ensure the tank is full.
Cleaning & Housekeeping: The cleaning fee goes directly to our professional cleaning crew, ensuring the space is spotless for your arrival. We do NOT expect guests to strip beds, do laundry, or clean the house before departure. Youâre on vacationâlet us take care of that for you!

No candles, please! Safety first.
Check-in is 4 PMâour housekeeping team works hard during the five-hour cleaning window. Early check-in is not always possible, but weâll try if we can.

Our driveway fits 3+ cars comfortably. Additional parking details will be provided in your check-in instructions.
The home has a keypad lockâthe code will be sent in the check-in details that are sent 7 days before your arrival.
Child-Friendly Features: Pack and Play available upon request. A lockable door at the top of the stairs for added safety if you have toddlers.
A separate laundry room is available in the backyard for guest use.

We are located on Beach Hill, a three minute walk down the hill takes you to Main Beach, with tons of restaurants, the boardwalk, and downtown is just a few blocks away. This is a very quiet residential neighborhood that is close to everything.
Getting Around:
You can easily walk to the Boardwalk, the beach, downtown, Kaiser Permanente Arena, The Catalyst, and your choice of bars, restaurants and events within minutes.
Interaction with Guests:
This property is managed by Surf City Rentals and they will provide the 24 hour contact number in the check-in details and guestbook.
