The pictures donât do this house justice as we had plenty of room to spread out for my family of 6 and the outdoor space was ample. It was a short walk to downtown Sugar Creek and my children thoroughly enjoyed seeing the worldâs largest cuckoo clock. The nightly rate was reasonable and I can definitely say we will return to this house on future trips to this part of Ohio.
I've lost count of the number of years we've stayed here. This house has everything we need .. enough beds, linens, coffee, toys for the kids, kitchen utensils for dining in, and laundry room. Great location too!
This property was what you see is what you get⊠very nice older home with plenty of room for everyone! Mr. Adamâs was a great and very understanding host!
The house was easy to find, clean, and cool inside. Beds were comfy, plenty of beds for all. Basement was set up cute with a game room and bedroom. Nice place to stay
Had stayed there once before. Everything was good. Had a good time and found a couple new places to eat. The only complaint was the driveway. Pretty tight fit for 3 cars and a little dropoff at the end toward the sidewalk.
We came on a Bible study retreat and this place was awesome! Big enough for all of us and walking distance to the main square. Everyone was so nice! Would definitely come again
The house was exceptionally clean! Very cute, everything we needed was there! The back patio was so pretty! If I had any suggestions it would be a half bath up stairs!
Really enjoyed our annual family get together in Sugar Creek. The weather was perfect for hanging out on the front porch and eating dinner on the back porch. The grandkids enjoyed riding bikes and everyone had a great time at the Swiss Festival. This house is within walking distance to all the festivities and had all the amenities we needed and more. Thanks Matt!
Our family from MI, IN, and OH resumed meeting here for the Swiss Festival after COVID prevented us from getting together the last couple years. We had a fun weekend. This house is in a great location and had everything we needed to have a great time. The owners have been great to us every year. Thanks so much Matt!
What I loved about this house is that it felt like I was walking into grandma's house every time I walk in the door! It was simple, yet cozy and inviting! And I didn't feel like it was too fragile to have my children in there. Thank-you!!
This house was a great place to stay for the 10 of us. The basement ceiling was low so our tall ones had to stear clear of that but there were plenty of beds available. Heating was great for an older home. Owner was very responsive.
Cute little house. Loved the front porch. Never could get the TV to allow us to see HULU or Netflix after many attempts but it wasnât the end of the world.
Glad they had a washer and dryer so we could launder our towels and a few clothes.
Family had a great time. â€ïž
Charm, lots of it. Bathroom locations are not ideal and at first thought to be problematic but five ladies over the age of 50 worked well together. The location was quaint and private despite being positioned by two city streets. The landscaping was greatly appreciated and enjoyed. We were able to scavenge some twigs and sticks for an evening fire in the fire pit. The upstairs could benefit from a split air/heating unit, but again we still enjoyed our stay and would consider another stay here in the future.
The house was nice and quiet, close to shopping, and had a full kitchen with everything we needed. Check in and check out were easy. Some of the beds were not terribly comfortable though, and the basement is is not the driest. I wish there were more seating in the living room, but there isnât really room, and the chairs that can be pulled into there are pretty but not terribly sturdy for bigger people.
Several generations of family found ourselves headed back to my dadâs hometown for a family funeral. This house was perfect for our needs- it was clean & comfortable & provided plenty of space for our group. Like any older home it has its quirks- low basement ceiling, no bathroom up on the second floor, some squeaky floorboards etc. But none of these quirks bothered us in the least- things like that are to be expected in a home of that age. We enjoyed being able to walk to the church & downtown, and enjoyed sitting out on the front porch swing. Would definitely stay in this property again.
A family from Texas who loves to spend time in Ohio Amish country. Blessed with 7 children, we originally rented the house on a summer vacation. When it came up for sale we were fortunate enough to buy it.
Sugarcreek is like stepping back in time to when things were simpler. Extremely friendly people and beautiful scenery. It is a great place to relax and unwind. Whether you have a large family, like ours, planning a special time with friend, or looking for a romantic getaway with your sweetheart, this is a great place to stay. Sleeps up to 12 and is fully furnished. Beautifully landscaped with tons of flowers and large back yard. Enjoy the peace and quiet or make new friends with the neighbors. Enjoy the quaint charm of Sugarcreek, Ohio.
It's like stepping back in time. The house is over 120 years old. My wife loves this place and has decorated it in her own style that makes her happy. When you stay here you will feal the warmth of the personal touch like going over to a good friend's house.
