Exceptionally clean overall and fully stocked for cooking in the roomy kitchen. Everything that was or would be needed was provided. Availability of both indoor and outdoor games and fire pit and grill were appreciated. This was a spacious and yet cozy home with beautiful views. It exceeded our expectations. We would definitely rent again. Ruth was so kind to work with-especially when we needed to change our stay due to a last minute health issue. We highly recommend this place!
This beautiful cabin has gorgeous views of the countryside!!! It is very well equipped with everything we needed. Very clean and comfortable accommodations and our host, Ruth, was very responsive and friendly. We enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous cabin.
What a wonderful get-away! This cabin was just lovely - clean and comfortable, with an extra large kitchen table for games and rockers on the spacious front porch to enjoy the beautiful view!
The cabin easily accommodated our group of eight senior (63-72) adults. All bedrooms required stairs which was difficult for four of us but manageable. 3 bathrooms was nice, as was two laundry facilities. The view and location were outstanding! All in all a very nice cabin.
We had a beautiful time at the cabin. The table was large enough for us all to sit at for group discussion, meals, and games. The front porch and fire pit were very relaxing to just sit and enjoy the scenery and fellowship. The bedrooms were nicely decorated and worked out well for our women's church group. The only drawback was not having a bedroom on the main floor for those who were not able to climb the stairs.maybe the info sheet said that and missed it but we managed, the sofas in the living room worked pretty well as a bed.
Lovely home with tons of room. We especially loved the porch and all the seating on it. The owners have done a great job providing everything you need or might want for your stay. The kitchen was very well equipped. We didnât have any trouble making our meals.
This home was delightful. Spacious enough for our family gathering of 10. It was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked to prepare meals and a large dining room table allowed us to all eat together. 3 full bathrooms was especially nice for a large group. We enjoyed the porch, the fire pit, the gas grill, and the games in the garage. The setting is very serene, in the country, but close to shops and restaurants. We could not have been happier with our stay. The host answered quickly and was very gracious.
Very clean, well stocked, quiet. One of the best places that our church group has stayed. Only suggestion we have is another rail on the other side of of the steps going in both directions down to the basement.
Everything was very clean and organized. Easy access to everything would definitely stay there again, only thing that we kind of missed was a TV for evening entertainment.
The location was quiet and perfect for the nature lover! The home is spacious and well equipped with everything you need. It's obvious this host goes above and beyond with all of the small details. I highly recommend!!
Ruth gets back to you on any questions you have and is super nice. Place is so clean and lots of room. Lots of games for kids to play. Huge table for family and friends to play games or dinners. Very nice place to stay.
OMG!!!!! This is better than the pictures. It had so much space and can actually sleep 14 people. I went with my Mom, day6and Siter. We had a great time and not having a TV made us be with each other. The host is amazing and Ruth responds fast to any concerns. The scenery is beautiful, quiet and no one around us. We were so happy and thinking of making it an annual trip for us. See you next year Ruth!!!
Beautiful, Cozy, Peaceful in the Heart of Amish Country
The host, Ruth, was awesome with communication from the moment we booked the house 9 months prior our dates. Throughout the months leading up to our date of arrival Ruth answered all messages very promptly. Also during our stay she was available through messaging in the app. The log home was wonderful. So cozy, secluded and peaceful, and very beautiful. The beds have very good mattresses, everyone in our group said they slept very comfortably on the beds. There is very nice furniture throughout the house: large dinning room table, very nice breakfast booth in the kitchen, and comfortable seating in the living room. The fireplace is gas, and maked it very cozy in the living room during the last week of May. The porch has nice seating, and an awesome view of the surrounding countryside. There are plenty of towels provided, and two sets of washers and dryers for any laundry needs. One set is on the main floor, and the other set is in the basement common area. The house is located in the heart of Amish Country, a short drive to any of the places of interest in the area.
This property was perfect for our little family getaway. We had several kids ranging from 10-7 months and the space was perfect including a high chair, cribs, and fun toys. The kids loved walking the property and waving to the neighbor animals. All the activities we wanted were in close driving range.
What a beautiful cabin! I brought my family and my children with me! Everyone had a comfortable bed to sleep in and there was a cute toddler bed for my 3 year old to sleep in. There was lots of seats for everyone to sit in and my kids had fun playing with table tennis and foosball in the garage!! I would definitely come back and stay here again!
Very lovely, cozy spot. The view from the front porch into the valley is amazing. It was a cold weekend and the log cabin with fireplace made for the perfect ambiance. Very clean and attention to detail is perfect. We were a group of 13 plus an infant. The only reason I donât give it 5 stars is because we needed to use the unfinished basement area. The utilities are not closed off. So the adults that slept in that area were woken up by the utility noises. If it wasnât for that it would be 5 star!Ruth the host is very accommodating. We would come again. With a smaller group.
My wife and I took our children and their families out to Amish Country for a family gathering and Christmas shopping. The kids had never been there before. Well, the area sells itself, and the Mockingbird Lodge was the cherry on top of the sundae. I kept hearing all week on how they were all coming back and as far as a VRBO property, this was their favorite. What made it their favorite was the cleanliness, location and amenities of the the lodge. Also, I believe the fact their were no televisions in the lodge added an unexpected benefit. The family got to experience and entertain each other vs having actors in movies doing it for us.We give the Mockingbird Lodge 6 out of 5 stars and cannot wait to visit again.
We loved spending our family Thanksgiving in the cabin! Ruth was a wonderful host, checked in regularly and responded quickly to any questions/concerns. Tons of extra towels, blankets, and a great layout for a large family gathering. Will definitely book again!
