Great place with lots of amenties included. We had a great time with family and enjoyed the quiet and peaceful location. The creek behind the property is great to play and swim. The house was beautiful.
The property was very nice. Mother nature wasn't to nice but the screened in porch made the stay wonderful. The supplies for cooking are fantastic and being on the water was relaxing.
Spouse and I went to Bruces Bend cabin for a few days to relax and enjoy a different setting. We enjoyed fishing, birdwatching, hiking and relaxing. The cabin was so clean, well maintained, and a great river location. The beds were really comfortable and made for a restful night. We hope to visit again! Thanks for sharing your home.
Myself, my teenage niece and nephew, my 3 children 9 and under and my father all stayed for the week. This property had something for everyone. The location is so peaceful and serene. The screened in porch was probably my favorite place to sit. The sound of the water running by, the breeze and the large couch just made it perfect. Kimberly went out of her way to provide extra info for us and was so helpful. We would love to stay here again and Iâve actually sent the link to this property to a few friends alrwady
Property is perfectly located on the creek, and exceptionally well stocked + maintained. Our family of 4 (kids 5 and 7) had an amazing time, and particularly enjoyed the fire pit, playground, and proximity to Roaring Run.
The property is amazing! It's located right on Craig's Creek and has a fire pit and playset! The house is beautiful and has everything our family needed. We will definitely go back next year!
We chose this cabin as it easily accomodates our group with plenty of essentials to make the stay pleasant. The options for outdoor activities are numerous and just what our group likes.
We booked this property to got to the west virginia state fair, and absolutely love the house! My son and I had a great time in the creek, and the Roaring Run loop/watering hole was amazing
Cant wait to return!
We have stayed at Bruceâs Bend twice for an annual cabin trip and it is wonderful! The house is lovely with all amenities needed! The outdoor living space is fantastic with a fire pit overlooking the water and plenty of games and activities available. Then there is the creek. It is AWESOME! The creek bends right in front of you turning into gentle rapids followed by another bend of emerald clear water with cliffs on the opposite bank and an old railroad bridge in view to the left. Perfect for creek walking and fishing!
My husband and I were looking for a quiet getaway, and Bruceâs Bend hit all the right notes: beautiful views, very secluded and relaxing, plus pet friendly. Lots of beautiful trails all around. The owners had prepared a very helpful binder of information about the surrounding area, too. We fully recharged!
All i can say is WOW! What a beautiful home and location. The house is exceptional well equipped with everything you need. The setting right on craigs creek is amazing and peaceful. What a great get-away with family and friends. Highly recommend this venue and our host was most accommodating and communications were quick and helpful. Love, love, loved it !!
What a great place! We enjoyed every minute. The kitchen was well equipped, and the deck (with grill!) was amazing. The fire pit right on the river was the best part.
We are the Bruce Family. David and Kimberly Bruce-the owners of Bruce's Bend. We have 3 children. David was raised just one mile from the property and is very familiar with and loves the area. I was born and raised in New jersey till 1999 when I moved to Virginia. We both love to hike and be outdoors. Our children also love to hike and do all the outdoor activities that we hope you get to enjoy when you visit. We look forward to meeting new people who share the same love of the area.
David grew up just a mile down the road from the property. He had visited this house and knew the prior owners and told them that if they ever wanted to sell to let him know. Fortunately for us, they decided to sell and contacted David about purchasing the house. We love the house and plan on retiring here. We have had to move for a job change at this point and thought why not let others enjoy our home while we cannot.
David was in love with the house from the first visit. The view from the couch gave the appearance that the creek flowed directly under the house. We absolutely love the screened in porch. We love sitting on the couch in the screened in porch and have our morning coffee. The house has many great points--firepit, creek view, big side yard, patio area, deck overlooking creek and much more. The screened in structure out front is the origional camp that still remains. It has a fireplace which is a good place to sit back and relax or hangout on a rainy day or evening.
