Summer and Spring are Fun Times at Windermere's, Akiskinook Family Resort - 1 Br Condo condo. Sports on site; Swimming/Boating/Water Skiing/Beautiful Gradual Sandy Beach! Children's Play Ground! Outdoors enjoy the Tennis/Pickle/Basket Ball Courts. Enjoy squash/wally/basket ball game in the rec center or work out on the fitness equipment. Games room with ping pong/foos-ball table. Close to Radium/Fairmont Hot Springs for a swim or soak in the natural hot/cool pools.
Forest view 1 bedroom Townhouse, featuring one queen plus single bed in bedroom plus a twin roll away bed plus luxury twin XL 6 inch foam mattress, air mattress for child or teen. Recently renovated kitchen with new countertops, oak fireplace mantle, new bathroom with vanity sink and ceramic tile surround tub. A fully equipped kitchen with new stainless steel fridge and stove with ceramic top with oven, microwave, dishwasher, Ninja Air Fryer plus all kitchenware and small appliances. Living-room has a 50 inch HD TV with cable, Blue Ray Player, Am/Fm stereo with Cd player. Stream your favorite movies on the free Amazon Channel. Patio furniture on cedar deck with gas barbecue. One full bath with jacuzzi tub. All bedding, linens and matching bath and hand towels are provided. House-keeping is provided prior to check-in and after check-out. The Columbia Valley is an all season destination resort with many summer activities; offer swimming, boating, water-skiing, wake-boarding, white water rafting, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, canoeing, jet skiing, parasailing, hang/paragliding, wind surfing, volleyball, tennis, mini-golf, airplane and glider rides and go-carts. The Windermere Valley is a golfer's paradise with over 12 golf courses close by from par 3 to championship golf.

*** Enjoy a 20 minute drive to Panorama Mountain Ski Resort or Fairmont Ski Resort for winter fun! Enjoy a scenic drive thru the Kootenay National Park to Lake Louise Ski Resort or a beautiful mountain drive to Kicking Horse Ski Resort for a great day of skiing. In the winter. Akiskinook has a maintained flooded ice skating rink on the lake at the beach area which meets up with the White Trail and known for the longest groomed trail in North America for ice skating, cross country skiing or walking/hiking trail on Lake Windermere.
***Walk to the Akiskinook Family Sandy beach; visit Kinsman Beach Park or John Chabot Provincial Park just a 10 minute drive away. Boat mooring and trailer storage is available for our rental guests for an extra fee. Maid Service is provided prior to arrival and after departure. An extra cost to the Tenant for house-keeping during your stay.
Our house rules: primary renter must be 25 or older, no smoking, no parties or events, pets permitted.

Pet fees are $25/day or $125/week + GST

Nice getaway in Akiskinook

Good little condo for a family holiday, nice outdoor space add to the footprint. Beautiful location amongst the trees at the end of the property.

Summer vacation

We’ve been to the same location now for the past five years but first time in this particular condo. Other than the wasps this time of year we had a nice stay. The beach and water is always nice, having the rec room is an added bonus with the kids. Really enjoyed our stay

I am pleased that you had a great time at the Akiskinook Resort.The wasps have been particularly bad this summer season. We have pest control at the Resort that can remedy this problem. I hope that you can travel back to the Valley next summer to stay at my condo Thanks for the five star review!

Over promised and under delivered!

Ad lists a pool that’s been under construction for a year and a half, ad lists a rec center but it, also, is closed due to construction, waterfront, yah, it’s a good golf cart ride away because the suite is the furthest from the water.

The pool was scheduled to re-open in August but due to the Covid 19, the solarium has been delayed. The lake and private beach is a nice friendly walk. You can drive and park at the private beach. The condo is close to the tennis/pickleball courts and children's playground which the guest's really appreciate. The condo is situated in a nice private quiet area of Akiskinook Resort.

Nice resort

The locations was nice but we couldn't launch our boat and had to go into town to do it. The place was nice but needed a little maintance. We enjoyed our stay and even had a deer come visit us!

Very Relaxing!

Although it rained 5/7 days we still enjoyed ourselves. The area is relaxing. Don is a great host. We look forward to future visits.

Affordable and good choice for short stays

Quiet place, with a nice patio looking out into the trees. Friendly neighbours. The recreation Center was under construction during our stay so the pool was closed and made it difficult to do laundry. Has own private beach which we had to ourselves which was nice. Close to Invermere and fairmount. This would be a good affordable place if you were staying for 1-2 days but not comfortable for our 8 day stay. It was very damp in the condo and tons of spiders on the patio and in the condo. We were worried before arriving because it didn’t have AC but it stays fairly cool on hot days which was nice. It needs some better upkeep in certain areas. It states it has a jacuzzi tub but it is a very old tub and doesn’t have a plug so I couldn’t use it even if I wanted too. I had to clean the patio furniture 3 times just so we could sit outside because the furniture was so dusty and full of spider webs. A BBQ was provided which was convenient however. Inside the condo was fairly clean. The dishwasher didn’t work well and we needed to wash all dishes by hand. It was nice to have wifi and cable. If the pool was working it would have been a better stay. The playground, tennis courts and basketball court are close to the unit and in great condition. Might stay at the resort again if the pool is fixed but probably not in the same unit

I stayed for 2 months, and really enjoyed the Akiskinook resort! Such beautiful premises. Unfortunately there was a lot of construction going on in the building I was staying....7 days a week, from 8 am and sometimes until after 8pm. Also, the pool and hot tub weren’t working for the last 2 weeks of our stay
