Our three-bedroom townhome in the private, family-friendly Akiskinook community is perfect for year-round getaways. With access to a year-round indoor pool, hot tub and clubhouse, as well as a private beach, it offers the ideal setting for both relaxation and adventure. Located on the sunny side of Lake Windermere, Akiskinook has been a beloved destination in the valley for decades.

Spring / Summer / Fall - enjoy long days on the private sandy beach, paddleboarding, or renting a boat. Nearby, you’ll find plenty of golf courses (Radium, Copper Point, Eagle Ranch and Grey Wolf to name a few) and scenic hiking trails to explore. Invermere, just 10 minutes away, offers great dining and shopping, with local favorites like Ullr Bar and The Birchwood. * For those bringing boats, slips and trailer parking is available to reserve through Akiskinook Resort (please contact the resort to secure your slip in advance).

Winter - the resort transforms into a snowy paradise. Akiskinook sits right off BC’s “Powder Highway,” offering easy access to some of the best ski resorts: Panorama Ski Resort (30 minutes away), Fairmont Hot Springs Ski Resort (15 minutes), Kimberley Alpine Resort (1 hour 15 minutes), and Kicking Horse Mountain Resort (1 hour 30 minutes). The resort boat slips are removed and turn into a skating rink on the lake, and to top it off Lake Windermere becomes home to the Lake Windermere Whiteway—the world’s longest skating and Nordic skiing path!

After a day of summer or winter fun, relax in our comfortable, well-stocked townhome. Cook a meal in the kitchen and enjoy drinks or a BBQ on of the two balconies, perfect for unwinding with family and friends.

We enjoyed our stay at Jordan’s place. Location was great, beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked with all the necessities to make and eat meals and our children thoroughly loved the community centre - especially the pool. Will definitely return.

The location and property were great for our family. Easy check-in, clean, comfortable, with all the amenities needed for our stay. The resort grounds were great, with beach, pool, hot tub, gym, pickleball courts, and rec center for all our activities and leisure.

Staying at this townhome was great for our family with 3 boys under 5.5. There were plenty of options for our family to sleep across the 3 bedrooms. Our boys had lots of fun exploring the property and using the many recreational amenities. Jordan was very helpful in promptly answering questions prior to and during our stay. Thank you!

We really enjoyed staying at this property. Everything was as expected: comfortable, clean, good location, and nearby Panorama. The Rec centre is a nice plus to spend time after hours.

The unit was situated in a very private part of the complex.Very peaceful and relaxing. Recreation complex was ideal for the children. Unit was as described. We are planning to return next year.

Had a great time here. Having vinyl floors is a huge improvement over the carpet. Kitchen doesn’t have paper towels or tea towels. So bring your own. Host is very fast in answering questions.

Great rental for our family!

We enjoyed our stay very much in this warm and inviting unit! The host was fantastic to deal with and this unit was excellently priced and offered exceptional value. The unit was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed during our stay. It had brand new flooring and fresh paint throughout! The resort amenities like pool, hot tub and rec areas were a huge added bonus that the kids loved! Being just outside of Windermere it was central to radium, fairmont and panorama, all being under 20 minutes away roughly which was very convenient as well. Our family will be booking this unit again in the future for sure!

Needs renovations

We were very disappointed in this unit & for the total price we paid it definitely was NOT WORTH THE $$. firstly the steep stairs going up to the front door was dangerous especially when carrying bags & coolers. Secondly the carpet was disgusting, the AC unit was way too small & the condo unit was extremely hot. The patio table & chairs were oversized for the small deck which became a struggle trying to get seated for meals, the couches need to b replaced. The leather couch sat 6” off the floor making it very difficult to get up once u drop onto it. Lastly table & chairs to seat a family of 4-6 people for dinner would have been nice considering the patio was swarming with bees. We will never rent in this condo unit again. Host was very friendly but needs to put big $$ into this place for repeat renters.

*Edit - Carpet has been gutted and the Floors / baseboards have been updated throughout :) I’ve also removed the large overhead kitchen cabinets to open the space up. Paint and other concerns next. Thanks again for the feedback, Glenda Thank you for your feedback, Glenda. I’m truly sorry that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. Please know that I became the owner of this unit just this past June and I’m committed to addressing the concerns you’ve raised. The carpets are scheduled to be replaced with vinyl plank flooring in October. Unfortunately, due to the high demand for trades, it takes several months to book any work, which is why these upgrades couldn’t be completed before the rental season. To reflect this, I have kept the nightly rate over $100 below the market value in the resort, acknowledging that the unit isn’t yet perfect. Regarding the AC issue, you’re the only guests who have reported difficulty cooling the space. As the building doesn’t have central air, a window unit is currently the only available option. However, I will ensure that it is properly sealed and functioning correctly. Additionally, I want to remind you that I clearly communicated the unit’s features in our email correspondence before your stay. I noted that the 10 stairs leading to the unit can be quite steep and may not be suitable for those with mobility challenges. I also mentioned that the unit doesn’t have a full dining area but offers 4 bar stools at the eating bar, a fold-down table, and a table on the balcony. Given the unit’s beautiful location in the mountains of BC, I understand that insects can be a concern, and I’m sorry for any inconvenience they caused. Thank you again for your feedback, Glenda

Unit is VERY dark except for the 3rd bedroom that has a sunlight right above the bunk bedKitchen: "Newly updated" means painted cabinets and countertops, a new tap that needs tightening. Had to buy our own dish clothes, no brush to clean the bbqBathrooms: Brightest rooms in the unit but those cute shower curtains are hiding the original tubs and tilesFront Door: Very difficult to unlock and lock from the outsideTwo steep sets of stairs to access the unit and bedroomsLawn Sprinklers: Nothing the host can do about this but they turn on randomly in the middle of the day. Beware if you are set up on the grass anywhere, you WILL get wetCheck the decks before using. The upper deck had a wasps nest by the door and on one of the chairsOverall, we made the unit work for the week but for the price we probably won't stay here again when we return to the area.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed review. I genuinely appreciate both the positive comments and the constructive feedback. I’m sorry to hear the condo wasn’t quite what you were hoping for. When I updated the space, my goal wasn’t to create a completely modern condo, but rather to preserve some of its original mountain cabin character while refreshing it with new flooring, paint, furniture, and other updates. Features like the tubs, stone fireplace and wood-panelled mirrored walls were intentionally kept as part of that character. I did want to clarify one point for future guests regarding the location. While the condo is in one of the quieter areas of the resort, it’s only about a three-minute walk to the main amenities. Being beside the visitor parking lot is actually something many guests appreciate, as it provides unlimited guest parking just steps from the front door. Thank you as well for pointing out the maintenance items, including the faucet, wasp nest, and missing BBQ cleaning supplies. I was not aware of these and will address those right away. Unfortunately, the hot tub closure and lawn sprinklers are managed by the resort and outside of my control, but I certainly understand how they affected your stay. I appreciate you choosing to stay at my condo and wish you all the best on your future travels.

Location was amazing! So many things to use and explore on the property with stunning views. The place had everything we needed in this great little getaway and we especially loved making fires! What a wonderful property in a great little area in a wonderful complex.
