Steps from subway entrance. Clean, comfortable and well-managed. It's in a bustling neighborhood of residences and small businesses, so if you want quiet, it may not be right for you. Plenty of shops, bodegas, and awesome restaurants nearby. A wonderful coffee shop right in front. Building seemed very secure. Manager/Owner? was very helpful. Only a small issue: the TV is in front of the bed, not the couch, and doesn't swivel. I'd reccommend replacing the mounting bracket with one that swivels so guests can watch TV from the couch.
The apartment is descent, there were some pros and cons:
Pro: Location of the apartment building is close to 6 train, laundromat and supermarket.
Small but manageable space to keep clean.
Cons: Garbage was rarely removed from outdoor bins, and thrown on the ground outside of garbage bins when there was no space left to throw it out.
There was a lot of pot and cigarette smoking at the outdoor patio area right next to the apartment (even though there is a sign on the door saying this was not allowed), which you could smell entering the apartment.
Fire alarm went off numerous times all hours of the night.
Very poor WIFI in the apartment.
There is no on-site super, and impossible to reach anyone who is servicing the building to help if there were any issues in the apartment.
No access to receiving mail in the building. You have to rent a PO Box at the local post office.
