The property was clean overall, although when we arrived there were towels left in the dryer that had been washed and dried but not folded or put away. I ended up folding those towels myself, and before leaving I also washed, dried, and folded all of the towels and washcloths we used during our stay.The bathrooms were quite small for adults, but they were clean. The king-size bed was comfortable, although the bed frame felt somewhat bulky for the size of the room.Unfortunately, we had to leave one day early due to a personal family emergency. Before checking out, I made sure the house was left in excellent condition, including washing towels and linens. Other than the bedding not being washed, the cabin was left essentially in the same condition as when we arrived.I politely asked the owner if a refund for the unused night could be considered since we departed around 10:00 CST the day before our scheduled checkout, but the request was denied. In my opinion, this was disappointing customer service given the circumstances were beyond our control.While the cabin itself was in good condition, I would not choose to stay here again because of the owner’s unwillingness to work with us regarding the unused night. I believe in treating others with kindness and respect, and I tried to show that by taking good care of the property. It would have been appreciated if the same level of consideration had been extended to us as guests.
