Beautiful barn apartment that was very comfortable for the entire week long stay. We felt right at home. Super easy drive to downtown Durango and Lake Vallecito.

It was a Beautiful property and the Apartment was nice and cozy. The location was convenient to everywhere in Durango withing about a 20 minute drive. The owner was also very good at checking in to make sure our stay was pleasant.

Beautiful property on a beautiful horse ranch. Fully stocked kitchen and decorated with a great western theme. Being away from town gives you a perfect night sky and perfect views of the Milky Way. Very quiet and peaceful!! Hosts communicate very well! Great value, Great Property.

Beautiful property! Horses came right up for pets and saw a black bear running across the pasture. A/C wasnt working as much as I would have liked but also comfortable enough I didnt need to bother owner. Very quiet and outside of Durango’s downtown but close enough to drive to the downtown. 20 min drive to train station. Beautiful decor and enjoyed the beautiful property. Worked well for my family of 5.

Loved this place for our sisters weekend! The property was beautiful secluded & peaceful, but a quick drive to anything we needed / wanted to do! The fully stocked kitchen was a pleasant surprise as we all love to cook! We’ll definitely be back!

Amazing Vacation property!!!

My family and I loved the ranch home. Our stay was one of the best vacations we have ever experienced and the ranch home was a huge part of it. We even had surprise visitors in the morning (see photos). We will stay there again without question when we visit our friends in Durango again.

Comfortable with luxury decor and furnishings. Extra touches by host were very thoughtful. Views of ranch were great. Deer and turkey wanderingabout were fun to watch. This is our best VRBO experience ever! Would love to stay again!

The stay was perfect for 5 adults and 1 child. We had plenty room for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the beautiful kitchen and views from the balconies. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. Beautiful land and horses. The location to downtown Durango was perfect. We had privacy yet access to town for groceries and restaurants. There was a nice casino nearby as well in Ignacio, it was an easy drive from the stay. There wasn’t snow in Durango so we were able to drive to Wolf Creek and visit the hot springs in Pagossa easily (1.5-2 hr drive).

Gorgeous Country Setting

The home is gorgeous with beautiful finishes. We absolutely loved the details. It was well-appointed with everything we needed in the kitchen. The children were thrilled with the setting above a barn and loved petting Paco the horse who was in a nearby stall. My personal favorite was sitting by the creek each evening. This property is a paradise. We hope to return.

A wonderful experience.

The photos didn’t do justice for this place. Every detail was thought out and the barn is absolutely beautiful. The ranch is beautiful and the cold plunge in the stream was my favorite part about this this place. We went for a girls trip, and none of us wanted to leave. Everything went smoothly, and I would highly recommend staying here. Thank you for an absolutely wonderful experience.

My husband, my best friend and I traveled to Durango from Englewood to partake in the blues train. Last year when my husband and I went, we stayed at a hotel. but this year I booked this wonderful beautiful quiet apartment above the horse barn. The property is breathtaking! The accommodations were amazing rich dark woods western theme of course. The beds were great! The barbecue grill needed propane and Steve, the ranch hand obliged us right away. I can’t say enough good things about this property and our stay in Durango.

An Exceptional Stay in a Beautifully Restored Historic BarnThis historic farmhouse barn is truly special—one of the most impressive vacation rentals we have ever stayed in. The owners have preserved its historic character while transforming it into a beautiful, comfortable, and exceptionally well-crafted home.We were continually amazed by the quality and attention to detail throughout the property. The kitchen and cabinetry are gorgeous, the bathrooms and showers are outstanding, and every room feels thoughtfully designed and carefully maintained. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed.The photographs are lovely, but they cannot fully capture the craftsmanship, warmth, and character of this home. Absolutely wonderful property, out in the country, but still close enough to town. The barn apartment encompassed the entire upstairs floor of the barn & it was truly luxurious! Everything was spic and span clean and orderly! Communications with the owner was impressive and prompt! We thought the photos online were nice, but it was even better in person. The 2 different balconies were wonderful for watching the deer, turkeys and marmots. The acreage/ ranch itself is so peaceful with the beautiful little pond and waterfall & all the trees and pretty fields. We were here 5 nights & enjoyed Mesa Verde, the Durango Silverton Train, Chimney Rock & downtown Durango, as well as Honeyville and burgers at James Ranch. It truly is an amazing place to stay & we can't say enough good things about it!

This was a beautiful and well-maintained gem of a property. It was immaculately clean and spacious. There was every amenity one would want, and a convenient location for exploring Durango. Beverly was so thoughtful to check on our evening arrival time and whether we had any issues with power/internet due to storms (we did not). We would stay here again!

This place is more stunning in person than in the pictures. The host at this property was easy to get ahold of and are easy to communicate with. The views are stunning. If I plan a trip to Durango in the future this place will be the first on my list.
