My friends and I stayed here for Thunderdome weekend, it was clean , quiet and a very nice apartment. The location was great as itâs only 7 minutes away from the Tacoma dome making Lyfts and Ubers super cheap, but also a short drive if driving. Michael was a great host and was very good at communicating and quick at responding. I would recommend this Vrbo 1000/10
We stayed for a few nights and honestly enjoyed it. The beds were comfortable, the pillows had the perfect assortment of firmness for everyone to find one that worked well for them
Only criticism, there was a strong fragrance (our guess was a carpet deodorizer) - if your fragrance sensitive message the host before arriving!
The place was cute, clean, and the overall stay was worth the price. We werenât there much, so it was perfect for us. The only downside was that the neighborhood felt rough - lots of homeless people on drugs, not much in the way of restaurants and amenities within walking distance and definitely not a neighborhood that you want to be walking around alone after dark. While driving around Tacoma, it seemed like there was a good side of town and a bad side and this is definitely on the bad side. However the stay was fine, the place was cute, the check out process was simple. Overall a good place to stay just know you would definitely need a car to get to any of the sightseeing places and/or restaurants.
Not knowing the area, we werenât sure about the neighborhood, but we were surprised at how quiet it was. Walkable to Safeway. Short drive to bigger box stores.
We enjoyed our stay, the house and the neighborhood after we got our bearings. The only things found wanting were related to the kitchen. The cooking implements were there but in bad shape. The Housekeeper didnât check the cabinets after the last stay and my wife found dirty pots and pans in the cabinets.
We would stay at this unit again if available the next time weâre in town.
It was a relatively nice place. The only issue was the stairs for my elderly aunt and mother and no step stool to reach the top shelf where the coffee filter was for us short people. The house was clean and nice inside. Beds were super comfortable.
This got us in close proximity to the Marriott and was conveniently located to the Tacoma Dome as well. Unfortunately the home was high traffic for homeless folks and even had people living out of their van just around the corner. The yard was very overgrown upon arrival but was mowed during our stay. Definitely take note that the home does not have AC if youâre coming during the summer. It got pretty hot on the 80+ degree days. A lock box or entry on the backside would be awesome, as we never parked out front or used the front door as our regular entry/exit. The parking spot is adequate for one car, but a little tough for two cars if the lower unit is also rented out. Great appliances, cleaners, bath towels, bedding, kitchen utensils for use during our stay. We did have to do some additional cleaning upon arrival as the nightstand had orange peels in the drawer and there were some oranges left on top of the fridge that had started to rot. Overall the cleanliness was good inside the home and the house is well updated.
The property served a purpose. A place to rest our head. Little did we know that it would be with one eye open. The next block has a homeless camp, which is not the worse part but the 3am tenants next door or below screaming woke us up along with the police parked out front. The second night we can back to the fire alarm going off. Not sure how long that had been going off but it went off all night even after it was unplugged from the ceiling. Then at 12am we heard two gun shots and a few minutes later 5 more. Police were all over the homeless camp for a few hours. Lucky the two year olds sleeping in the house didnât wake up. Funny thing. I asked if the location was a good area and safe and was lied too. The area was not safe and I will never use this property again.
The property had everything we needed for our stay and was very clean. The neighborhood wasnât great but overall a great stay for the price. Mike responded promptly during our stay if we needed anything.
We loved this property the moment we arrived. Our family of five fit perfectly into this place. It's a great location to visit Seattle, Tacoma, and all points in between. I highly recommend this place if you're coming to the Pacific Northwest.
Nice clean downtown house. Upstairs unit. Supermarket is walking distance. We had five people. Thatâs about the max. Three bedrooms. Well equipped kitchen. Internet is fast. Cable TV!
This is a perfect for a family or group of friends. With three bedrooms, there is room to spread out, as well as a sectional couch and large dining table that have enough space for everyone. Recently updated with a modern design, this unit has everything you may need including a well stocked kitchen. My stay was comfortable and quiet. Home owner, Mike, is wonderful and quick to respond to any questions. I will definitely be back in the future.
Great check in process and nice home base for seeing washington. 2-3 hours from Portland, Port angeles, olympic National Park, mount Ranier and Mt st helens as well as the pacific Ocean, interaction with Mike perfect.
Our stay was very nice close to Tacoma theatre district area and not far from a beautiful park.
The home is very clean, the beds are comfortable and we all slept well. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal. We look forward to staying here again.
We stayed Michael's place for a family wedding. Close to downtown and everywhere we needed to be. Super clean and Michael was easy to work with. Both Michael and his property are great reflections of the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
