Romantic Trullo for 2 sea view pool,peaceful garden rustic authentic Puglia

Bella Terra is a restored flat topped trullo in a beautiful private garden setting with sea views. It is located in the countryside halfway between Carovigno and Santa Sabina.Whilst in the countryside it is only 5 minutes drive to either the town of Carovigno or the beach of Santa Sabina. The garden has figs, plums, lemons, pears, apples, grapes almonds, olives, pomegranate and a few other exotic fruits when in season.
I make my own organic olive oil which can be purchased .
A Puglian paradise with panoramic see views from the garden and roof terrace. Only 25 minutes drive from Brindisi airport! Its a very relaxing, romantic hideaway perfect for two people or extra person on single sofabed in living area.
There are 2 hammocks, a barbecue and 5 metre circular pool for your private use only during the summer. Roof terrace with panoramic sea views
Large patio area, table and chairs for your outdoor dining, large gazebo and BBQ. Stroll around the beautiful land and sample the fruit. The house has a gated drive and security system. Lovely four star hotel, (Corte di Fero) with a large swimming pool very nearby. Owners house next door using separate garden area and Louisa is on hand for any help or information about the area. She is very respectful of guests privacy. WiFi and Aircon linens beach towels and welcome breakfast pack included.


Louisa is an artist and teacher. If you would like to have creative art lessons during your holiday, lessons are available from 9.30 -1.00 at a cost of £ 75 per person including materials.

Holistic massage is also available.
Louisa is a very experienced massage therapist incorporating sports massage, craniosacral therapy Reiki and Chinese cupping. Treatments are one hour.
A warm welcome awaits you with homemade jam, fruit, bread milk eggs and wine.

Perfect spot to relax

What a darling place to stay! Louisa went above and beyond to make is comfortable. The grounds are so relaxing and the trullo was charming. We would recommend having your own form of transportation as it is out in the country.

What a great location, loved the peace and quiet. Great base to tour from or just chill out, some nice local restaurants but all the facilities you need to dine in including the BBQ. The owner Louisa was really helpful with hints and tips about the local area.

Great little get away from it all

Location was great if you're looking to 'get away from it all' like we were, but close enough to all shopping essentials and some interesting locations if needed. Louisa always discreet but on hand, more than generous and helpful when needed. Happy to recommend.

Bella Terra is a very relaxing place with lovely sea views,plenty of places to sit or sunbathe and the plunge pool was great for cooling off.The property is on the whole well equiped and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.Ostuni is in our opinion the best of the local towns.

Fantastic host. Great location for exploring the area. The property and grounds were fantastic. We had everything we needed and more. We were treated to homemade jam and food and drinks in the fridge when we arrived. It was so peaceful and had amazing views and we would definitely return. We wish we had booked for longer!!

Very peaceful

Had a lovely week here and the host Louisa was delightful and unobtrusive. Fabulous welcome pack and the homemade lemoncello was delicious! The property was small but very comfortable with all the facilies we needed and the outside space was fantastic! Private and quiet with great views! Not far from the town or the beach and easy access to the main roads to get out and about. Overall a good property, lovely host and good location!

Wonderful Stay

Louisa is a fantastic and experienced host renting a beautiful Puglia-Style, agritourismo influenced stone-cottage. We had a wonderful and calm stay. From the private rooftop you can oversee the coastline, take a book and relax. The house is located so that you can easily reach it by car but feel great privacy as there are no direct neighbours or roads that make noise. Overall, we can only recommend this beautiful property for a relaxing and romantic stay in Puglia!

Wonderful place to releax

Luisa is an excellent hostess and a wonderful lady. The holiday home is small, but it offers everything you need. The large garden, the great roof terrace with a view of the sea, the 5m pool, the outdoor dining area with grill and many other things make for a great holiday. The holiday home is ideally located for traveling around Puglia (and only 5 minutes by car to the sea). We had two wonderful weeks and thank Luisa for her hospitality, her helpfulness and her discreet manner. We will certainly have positive memories of this holiday for a long time to come.

Our dream vacation in Puglia

This adorable Trullo was amazing and perfect for us. A slice of country by the sea side, with a flair of Puglia style. Central to some of the best towns to visit in Puglia, whether it be by the sea or country side. Louisa is an amazing host and the details she includes in your stay are amazing. You have a starter for breakfast, lunch and vino all included. Our stay was over the top and would highly recommend to a couple wanting a peaceful, garden stay in Puglia.

A perfect getaway

It's a small apartment on a sprawling property - the apartment itself is lovely but the real reason to love the place is the outside. Lots of nooks and crannies to get some sun, take a nap, cool off (the pool and the outdoor shower). I only realized when I came back to Rome for a couple of days how much Louisa's place had let me disconnect and relax. It was everything I was hoping for in a rural Italian getaway.

Lovely September break

We had a lovely stay at Louisa's place. She had stocked up with food and drinks before our arrival, and supplied all towels, cleaning equipment and everything else you could need. The garden was a lovely oasis, with plenty of areas to relax with a cool drink and read a book, or just doze after a day at the beach! Nearby, Carovigno had a great choice of restaurants and a good supermarket. Great attractions like Ostuni and Alborobello were easy to reach by car and it's just a couple of minutes to the train station, for an easy trip to Lecce. Louisa was helpful in all respects, even when we arrived really late at night due a diverted flight. We really enjoyed our time here and happily recommend it!

Tranquil

What a wonderful place! A slightly quirky perfectly resourced trulli. everything you could need. Set in olive groves, fruit trees and vine yards, off the beaten track so peaceful. The pool is wonderful a great place to cool off and relax set in the splendid gardens. Great location for transport links set between two towns to access shopping and eating out. We will be back its a great tonic!

An oasis of tranquility

We had a wonderful stay at Bella Terra. Louisa is an amazing host, there is you need her but never intrusive. The inside accommodation is compact but comfortable and has everything you need. Outside is just amazing with so many places to sit and enjoy the beautiful garden. It was great to have the pool to cool off. This is a good location for getting around - the train station just 5 mins drive away with frequent services to Lecce and Bari. Good road links too. Our only complaint is that the time went so quickly!

A wonderful stay

Our stay in Carovigno at Louisa's trullo was lovely. The outdoor space is just amazing - flowers everywhere, the trees and too many space to choose from for relaxing. We enjoyed the sunset from the roofdeck, cooled off in the pool, and ate every meal outside. Louisa is a wonderful host. Her gift of a bottle of wine, her dried figs and jam, and all of the breakfast and snack provisions, was much appreciated. She thought of everything, including beach towels, chairs and umbrella and mosquito coils. We loved our stay in Puglia and Louisa and her home were so much a part of our enjoyment there.

Relaxing self catering accommodation

We had a truly relaxing time in the trullo. Louisa had thought of everything to make the stay memorable. The welcome pack was very generous and the well stocked kitchen made things very easy for self catering. The garden was magnificent and the available fruits from the trees delicious. We had figs and plums every day. The only downside was the low ceiling at the top of the stairs leading into the bedroom.....bit of a "pain" for anyone tall ! Car essential to get to the accommodation and for visiting the area.

A special place to relax and enjoy everything wonderful in Puglia!

A beautiful Trullo in a splendid garden in the peaceful countryside. The house was spotless and everything we needed was provided. It was exactly as described in the advertising and Louisa our host was extremely friendly and helpful with anything we needed. The location is perfect for day trips to special places of interest like Lecce, Alberobello and many others. The house and garden are great to come home to after a day touring or at the beach. We also spent a couple of days just lounging around in the shade in the garden. It was a perfect holiday. We highly recommend Louisa’s house for a holiday in Puglia.

Care and independence in wonderful location

Louisa has a beautiful property and wonderful way of caring for you but not getting in your way. We loved our stay in her spring garden and well-appointed apartment. Louisa came to the local town to show us how to get to her home and gave us great ideas for travel and food. Her place is situated in a great location for visiting many parts of Southern Italy and we did a range of car trips, resting in the garden, cooking fresh food and dining out - once with Louisa, and once in her home with family. Thank you so very much Louisa for your care, fun attitude and interesting conversations.

A lovely tranquil setting only a short drive from some great beaches, Carovigno and Ostuni.

‘Bella Terra’ is a wonderful place to unwind after a hard day sightseeing or lying on the beach. Set in a large garden with trees full of fruit to die for, it really is a mini oasis way from it all. The accomodaton includes a kitchen, dining and sitting area plus a bathroom and a double bedroom. Whilst the rooms are not particularly large, this is not a problem as long as the weather is OK because the garden is definitely the place to be. Our hostess, Louisa lives next door and was always on hand when required to offer help, advice and even a ‘spade for the beach’. Grazie Louisa, fino a la prossima volta!

A perfect choice for a first visit to Italy

The property was easy to find, situated in a quiet rural location, yet only five minutes from the sea (at Santa Sabina) or the local supermarket (at Carovigno). The accommodation was clean and provided all the facilities I needed, and the welcome pack of 'essentials' was much appreciated due to my late evening arrival. Sitting under the gazebo on the front patio for breakfast in the warm sunshine was idyllic, and coupled with walks along the seashore provided the 'chilling' time I was in need of after the stress earlier in the year. Louisa was the perfect host, providing information and advice to help the novice, which I am sure will bring me back in the future.

A great introduction to Puglia

Lovely stay at Bella Terra. Louisa is not only a lovely warm person she’s interesting and intuitive. Nothing is too much trouble...rare to find this these days. Louisa is also generous with her plums and figs when plentiful. When we arrived, early June, her garden was an abundance of fruits and flowers. Her Limoncello is the best we’ve tasted. Good location just a few minutes drive from historic Carovigno town and the beach and waterfront fish restaurants at Torre Santa Sabina. Also just 15 mins drive from Ostuni. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay.

Wonderful accomodation- authentic Italy

We had a wonderful stay in Louisa's trullo in the real Italy as part of a self- devised 3 week tour of the country. The accommodation was clean and had everything we needed. It was lovely to be able to eat outside in the natural surroundings of the fig and olive trees. As previous reviews have mentioned the trullo is in a location which has a secluded feel whilst being very close to Carovigno, where there is a lovely cocktail bar in the main square, and Santa Sabina where there is a lovely beach. A car is essential for this stay, although this is true of the region generally. There are nice restaurants nearby and plenty of places to visit on days out- Ostuni, Alberobello, Grotte Di Castellana, Gallipoli and Lecce included. Louisa is a fantastic host and we can't wait to return!

Excellent holiday

We had a lovely week in Puglia. It was perfectly positioned with easy access to the lovely sandy beaches and for sightseeing. The trulli was well equipped with absolutely everything you could want including chairs, towels and an umbrella for the beach. It had so many different areas to sit/eat in and I particularly liked the hammocks! There was also a bbq. It was very clean and well maintained. Although it is near a hotel, you couldn't see it and there was no noise from it. The owner was so helpful and friendly and gave us plentiful supplies of fruit from her trees as well as providing milk, wine, cheese, bread for our arrival. Nothing was too much trouble for her. There were numerous lovely places to eat in the area. We would recommend this wholeheartedly as a wonderful place to have a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

Retired teacher and artist whose mother was from Carovigno. Fell in love with the property which I renovated. Love the countryside and closenesd to the sea only 3 km. It's a little peaceful Puglian oasis.
I am an artist and offer lessons in painting and mosaic making.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Wonderful sea views, typical Puglian countryside but not isolated, only 5 mins drive to Carovigno which has a lovely piazza and castle. Very close to the railway station for easy travel to Lecce, Bari, Polignano etc. Only 25 mins to Brindisi airport. Really friendly people and not over touristy. A great location from which to explore Puglia. The historical centre of Carovigno is lovely with many festivals in the summer including the famous flag throwing, musical concerts and food festivals. It's very family friendly.
Single travellers can roam about with safety with local people making you feel welcome

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Bellaterra really is peaceful country retreat immersed in a typical Puglian garden of olive and fig trees. The focus is outdoor living to make the most of the fresh sea air.
I live nextdoor but very respectful of guests privacy with my own pool and garden. I am available should guests need me and I work hard to provide a comfortable stay for my guests. I provide a welcome pack of breakfast items, wine and fruit upon arrival . The main feature is outdoor living with a new rain proof large gazebo.All linen including beach towels. My cottage is also ideal for single travellers. Excellent WiFi.
