We are on the top of Afton Mountain, looking across the Rockfish Valley, with Majestic 25 Mile Views of the Blue Ridge. Discover & Explore Shenandoah National Park, Appalachian Trail, Blue Ridge Parkway & Skyline Drive, which are available just a quarter mile from here.

The wildlife here is abundant. Squirrels, rabbits, groundhogs, possum and deer are all residents. Enjoy the wide variety of birds that visit us every day. Doves, Cardinals, Finches, Chickadees, Sparrows and so many visit our feeders every day. Hawks, Falcons, Owls and many other Birds of Prey fly overhead. Some evenings we see a dozen, or more, deer on our front lawn.

“Quiet, Serene, Peaceful” are words that guests use to describe the setting here. Nature lovers enjoy the hundreds of forested acres around the property, including walking trails and close proximity to some of Virginia's most heralded Natural Wonders and travel destination spots.

The beauty of this location is that we have a Country Setting, that is only three minutes to Exit 99, right off I-64 and three minutes to Rt. 250.

We are only five minutes to Waynesboro, down the mountain, with five grocery stores and all the other amenities you like and need: There is a wide variety of restaurants, and shopping with many large box stores such as Lowes, Home Depot, Target, Petsmart, and many more. Staunton is about 20 minutes from us, a small Virginia town, filled with history and charm. Crozet is fifteen minutes and Augusta Health is just 15 minutes away. UVA Hospital and the University of Virginia is an easy drive on I-64.

We are also only ten minutes to Route 151, the brewery, distillery and winery trail! The brew trail also has great food and lively entertainment, all year round.

We love dogs! Bring your dog! (Up to 55 lbs), w/current shots. We will also consider 2 small dogs, whose combo weight is 55 lbs. No dogs under 1 year, please. There is a fenced back yard, and walking trails adjoining your unit. Dog guests must be non-dog or people aggressive and not excessive barkers. We also do dog sitting, dog walking, dog check in for a nominal fee. We want your dog to be comfortable and happy too.
