Lovely villa with an exceptional view. The villa was clean and was reasonably well equipped. Kotor itself is overrun with traffic and with cruise ship passengers. After our initial foray into town, we stayed closer to our the villa, which is a little bit north of the downtown area and is in a much quieter area
We loved our five days. Thank you so much. From what I understand the tourist industry in Montenegro is overrun by cruises. In order to see Montenegro you need a week. This place was everything one could ask for and a great jumping off point to boats trips and thips through the mountains.
We had an amazing time. The views were unreal and we enjoyed spending time on our own jetty and making use of the bicycles in the garage. Anna was extremely accommodating and helpful; she was ready to greet us upon arrival and was available by phone at any time we needed. There were excellent tavernas along the bay front with delicious seafood. Our favourite part however, was going through the stone archway to access the Old Town which was like stepping through a portal to a magical world from some ancient time. Thank you so much for having us!
We flew into Podgorica which was around a 1hr40 drive away, through many many mountains. Roads are good but I am glad we drove and didnt have a shuttle bus due to the bends and cliff drops.
Ana was extremely welcoming and helpful on our arrival, so we settled very quickly.
The villa was very clean, and we had access to everything we would need (towels, wifi, laundry..etc)
The pool was our absolute highlight and we spent most of our time in it. The villa is right on the lake front, but getting into the lake you had to walk on the shells and stone, which was a bit awkward with the younger child.
Weather was all we could ask for around 36' most days, and there was always somewhere to shelter in the villa garden.
There were plenty of local shops so we didnt have to always drive to the supermarkets.
My only bits of advice to future travellers are take mosquito repellent, and Montenegro is not part of the roam anywhere destinations on the '3' mobile network.
Would highly recommend both Montenegro and this villa to anyone seeking a holiday.
The house is better then the pictures and we loved that we had our own dock by the sea. The pool and the outside seating was perfect. Ana and her father was so helpfull during our stay. We did not have a rental car, we used the two bycycles for shopping. We wil highly recomend this house and Kotor bay is magic.
Lovely villa with fantastic views over Bay of Kotor
The villa was in a great location, about a 25 minute quiet walk into the old town, with fantastic views over Kotor Bay. We also made use of the private jetty in front of the property for swimming in the sea. The villa has all the equipment you could need for a great holiday and lovely outside seating areas. Ana was a good host and it was easy to communicate with her if we had any queries. Inside, the property is very clean and comfortable, albeit a bit old-fashioned.
Views 10/10
Location 9/10 (great location with a few restaurants outside) loved how quiet the area was. Slightly further than we thought to walk into town. Not a huge issue but with small children we took a taxi back (five euros).
Great to have a swimming pool and a private pier across the road. (The locals will use it too which wasnât an issue for us, just added to the feeling of being part of the community)
The villa itself is a bit dated, it would benefit from new furniture and bedsheets.
Overall a great stay and check in and check out was very smooth. The views are amazing.
There are two bikes in the garage which was very helpful (we used them daily to cycle into town to buy fresh bread)
Great place to stay in Montenegro.
Location is perfect - within walking distance to Kotor old town but also great local restaurants in Dobrota itself.
Views from the property are amazing. We swam in the outdoor pool and sea with access from the private jetty everyday.
Ana was a fantastic host, very responsive and helpful.
Highly recommend this property.
We fully enjoyed our stay. The villa is spacious, well-equipped and excellently located. The views over the bay are spectacular. The kids loved the pool. There are restaurants and small supermarkets a short walk away. Kotor old town is maybe a 20 minutes stroll along the sea front. Dealing with Ana and her father was straight forward and they responded quickly to all questions. Highly recommended for families or couples.
This is in quieter residential area just outside of Kotor. Easy drive from here to Kotor old town, but with all the benefits of a superb waterside location on the bay.
Fantastic location to relax, walk the waterfront road (which is really quiet), yet with the convenience of local shops and some restaurants nearby.
Sheltered pool to cool off on the property, as well as good swimming off the private jetty.
We like to cook some meals ourselves and also to eat out, and so we were delighted to find a very well-equipped kitchen and pantry to get us off to a good start. As another reviewer said, it is the little extras that help to make a difference.
The third bathroom is actually in the garage which complements the jetty bathing area, but not the third bedroom on the floor above.
There was also a good barbecue kit (which wasn't listed at time of booking) but which Ana's father helped set up and I cooked the best view I've ever had!
We did some day trips to the usual places: Sveti Stefan, Budva and so on. When we got "home" we all agreed that this is the place we wanted to be staying.
Great location. Great hosts. Great property. Highly recommended.
The villa is very well located in Dobrota near a shop and local restaurants. It is spacious, very comfortable with a great pool and seating areas. Bonus was a family of tortoises to keep us company. Very family friendly. We had a lovely week and can 100% recommend.
Loved the location. A 4m walk across the road to the sea. Your own private jetty but if you donât fancy the sea stay next to the pool which, despite being next to the road which is a small coastal road, is completely anonymous and canât be seen by anyone. So everything to see but no-one can see you.
Unlike other places little things like coffee, dishwasher tablets, floats for the pool were all there. That makes the difference.
There was two families of us who stayed one week early June as an Anaâs guest. We loved Kotor and the area. There was four great restaurants near by. Ana was a great hoast! One thing what could be better was that the villa should have better address code. Taxis and other was difficulties to find the Villa. When we said near restaurant Konoba Bonaca.
Amazing setting and Ana was a great host with immediate replies to any questions. Lovely restaurants just down the road or a short drive to Kotor if you want to go into town. Sadly the weather wasnât great while we were there and we had quite a bit of rain so didnât use the jetty area or swim in the sea but it was still a relaxing holiday in a beautiful location and we will definitely return!

Fantastic Villa
Family of four with 2 teenage children, we stayed here for a week and loved this villa - which is in a stunning location with an amazing outlook.
There are some great restaurants within a few hundred yards and Kotor town is a 10 minute drive away. We had the best holiday and are definitely hoping to return soon!!
Our family loved this place so much we didn't want to leave! Beautiful place, great location and the host couldn't have been nicer or more accomodating. We're hoping to come back!
