Welcome to the Beach Cottage! This is the perfect stay for a couple's getaway. Minutes to a quiet beach and a friendly park with calm waters, swings and benches!

The Space:
The unit is a 440 sq ft guesthouse studio above a garage. It is small but mighty. It’s equipped with all you would need for a couple or small group visiting. Lastly, It has a well appointed outdoor space for enjoying a fire or a hot tub soak.

Guest Access:
The cottage and the backyard hot tub area are exclusively yours to enjoy!

The Neighborhood:
We are in a beachy neighborhood called Willoughby Spit. The home is a 2 minutes walk to 6 miles of beach shore. The beach is more private than other beaches due to lack of off street parking. The bay has less waves than other beaches due to its geography; making it great for families.

The longest Pier in North America is located about a mile from the beach house. The area is rich with history. There is plenty of good food, beverages and fun to be had in the area!

Getting Around:
Public Transportation: Norfolk offers a range of public transit options. The Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) operates buses and the light rail service known as The Tide, which connects key areas including downtown Norfolk, ODU, and the waterfront.

Driving: Norfolk is easily accessible by car, with major highways such as I-64 and I-264 running through the city. Parking is available in various public lots and garages, especially in the downtown area. Be sure to check for any parking restrictions or fees.

Cycling: Norfolk is bike-friendly, with numerous bike lanes and trails. The Elizabeth River Trail provides a scenic route along the waterfront, and bike rentals are available throughout the city.

Ridesharing & Taxis: Services like Uber and Lyft operate throughout Norfolk, offering convenient transportation options. Traditional taxis are also available and can be hailed or booked in advance.

Other Things to Note:
Our property features two distinct Airbnb units, each in its own separate structure. The first unit is the beach house, located at the front of the property. The second unit is the Sparkling Beach Cottage, located at the rear of the property. Both units completely independent of each other which offers offer privacy and comfort!
