THE ELSIE - Wonderful completely renovated 3-bedroom house in Breaux Bridge
"The Elsie" - Located near historic downtown Breaux Bridge, this fully renovated house offers 3 bedrooms - 1 king bed and 2 queen beds. With 2 bathrooms equipped with a bathtub / shower guests can relax in comfort. High Speed WiFi is available throughout the house.
My husband is an architect and we worked together renovating the house for over a year. It has undergone top to bottom updates, both Interior and Exterior. We actually live and work next door to this house so this has been a very personal journey. We have named the property "The Elsie" in honor of the previous owner, our dear neighbor Elsie Castille. We are so happy to have preserved the spirit of her family home and are proud to offer it to guests.
You will enjoy completely new fully outfitted bathrooms, freshly painted interiors, restored wood floors, all new kitchen appliances, new heating and cooling unit, new plumbing and electrical systems, and even an emergency generator to power the house if required.
Bedroom Number 1 is the Master Bedroom with a private bath, bountiful closet and drawer spaces, a full length mirror and a brand new beautiful king bed, with TV and charging stations for your phones and accessories. The Master Bath features a new cast iron tub with tile shower, new tile flooring, and a brand new lavatory vanity and toilet. We include the use of two indulgent super soft bath robes for your enjoyment.
Bedrooms 2 and 3 each have a queen bed with side tables and lamps, charging stations, and sitting areas. They share access to a hall bath with all new fixtures including bath/shower, new tile flooring, a new vanity and toilet. Both bathrooms are served by a continuous flow hot water heater. Enjoy those long soaks in the tub and those relaxing hot showers. Adjacent to the hall bath is a nook with special lighting and a sit down, make-up area sporting an antique mirrored vanity.
For those who enjoy cooking and gathering the family we opened up the kitchen to a light-filled den area with comfortable soft seating and we installed a granite breakfast bar with four counter height stools. Perfect set up to open up those laptops to check on scores and stocks or plan your next adventure in the area. The den has a separate coffee bar featuring a coffee maker, capable of both carafe and single serve k cups. The kitchen is fully equipped and ready with cast iron pots and pans, microwave, new dishwasher, a brand new gas range/hood and a side by side refrigerator/freezer with ice maker.
The house features a very large Living Room with an oversized sectional sofa and ottoman, three lounge chairs and book cases. It is open to the dining area which has an armoire and an antique wooden dining table with seating for six.
For those longer stays or just to refresh your wardrobe the house has full size washer and dryer and iron and ironing board. All housed in a laundry room adjacent to the hall bath.
The outdoor spaces are designed for relaxing with two very large covered patio areas to enjoy. One patio features seating and a porch swing for gathering. The second patio opens to the private enclosed back yard and has a portable gas grill, table and chairs for dining, and a large screen TV for watching those ball games while grilling for the family. There is even a private powder room with toilet and lavatory to serve both patios. Perfect for outdoor enjoyment and entertaining friends and family.
You will be able to keep your vehicles out of the weather in a two car carport with covered access to the rear patios. The driveway can accommodate two additional parked cars.
