Daniel was an absolutely wonderful guest — kind, respectful, and a pleasure to host from start to finish. He communicated beautifully, treated The GetAway with great care, and left everything in excellent condition. It meant so much to know he and his wife chose our place for their honeymoon, and we’re thrilled their stay was special and memorable. We’d welcome Daniel back anytime and would be delighted to host him again in the future. Highly recommended! 💕

The place was great everything was clean and peaceful. Other then there being a burn ban in effect during our trip, so no camp fire or smores. ;( Everything else went smooth. Thank you for your hospitality.

No campfire and s'mores is never the mountain getaway dream! 🔥🍫😭 Unfortunately, Mother Nature sometimes has other plans. We're glad, though, that everything else went smoothly and that you were still able to enjoy your time away.It was a pleasure hosting you, and we'd love to welcome you back for a future visit when the campfire is crackling and the marshmallows are roasting! ✨🏕️🔥 Safe travels, and thank you again for choosing The GetAway! 💙😊

Was the perfect stay for us! Pamela was fast to respond when we had any questions! So clean, smells clean, and ALL the amenities. The hot tub was clean, the deck was clean. Very family friendly. Beautiful place! Just a heads up, wood is not provided for the fire-pit. This is no problem at all as it’s everywhere to purchase but just offering transparency.

Great place to stay! The host was super nice and easy to communicate with! The cabin was clean and just as pictured! The hot tub and tv on the porch was our favorite part! The only thing that surprised us was the rough/steep gravel roads we had to take to get to the cabin. Not an issue with the right vehicle, just something to be aware of! Overall a great experience! The host was kind, attentive, and made the whole experience seamless from check-in to check-out — the kind of hospitality that really makes a difference. The cabin was clean and had everything our family needed to relax and unwind. We spent most of our time on the rear porch, which honestly became our favorite spot — perfect for just slowing down and enjoying each other’s company. If you’re looking for a clean, well-equipped cabin with a host who truly cares, this is it. Everything was wonderful! The space was beautiful and clean. It had pretty much everything you could need, and everything was easy to find. Any issues or questions we had were quickly resolved. My only real concern is that there is no door on the upstairs bedroom. This wouldn't be a huge deal, but I figured out that you can actually see into that room from the road, especially at night with the lights on. So I had to make sure to change away from the doorway. Other than that, it was a great stay!

Great GetAway

This was a fantastic place and I would bring the family back. The house had all that we needed for my family of 5. The area was beautiful, especially Briar Branch just down the road. The washer and drier really came in handy with three dirt loving kids. There was one minor drain issue in the shower that Pamela respo ded quickly to and tried to address. The kids loved having a TV by the hot tub and making smores by the campfire. We hope to be back soon.
