Perfect little getaway stay! My kids loved being right on the water and having kayaks there to use was awesome. Its not to far from all the activities and quiet. The road to the place is far better than ones that we stayed at before. We will definitely be back!!
Dana was an absolutely great hostess! Anything we needed, she provided. The area was breathtaking. The cabin was spotless. It was located so closely to Beavers Bend, without all the traffic. The only complaint we had was that we could not stay any longer. We will definitely visit the Pine Cone again!
Pine Cone is BEAUTIFUL! One of the best rentals in which we've stayed. Dana has everything you need here. Highly recommend! It was the most relaxing and refreshing weekend.
The cabin was very evacuate and extremely clean. Everything that was needed was provided from total kitchenware to all bathroom products. The cabin was right across the street from the river. We were able to float from our dropoff point right next to this cabin. The host were perfect with communication and considered all things including the weather. We would definitely stay again and again. Thanks so much!!!
I highly recommend this cabin! My family had the best time. I never understood âpremiere hostâ on VRBO until staying at one of Danaâs cabins and now I fully understand because she is definitely a premiere host! This cabin is upstairs and below it is their office but even with a 2 and 5 year old, it was not an inconvenience in any way and we were never bothered during our stay! They also have the sweetest dog Ally girl which we immediately fell in love with. The river is right across the gravel road with a beautiful lookout patio!
My husband and I just reluctantly left the cabin which is on a beautiful part of the river. I was able to try out my new kayak on flat calm water that is clear as can be. This part of Broken Bow is so much calmer, quieter and more natural than any of the other cabins where we have stayed before.
Dana is wonderful and so easy going and Ally the Australian shepherd is adorable. We will certainly be returning and hopefully often.
My sister, my niece and I wanted a quiet place by the water. When I first viewed this cabin I thought it was nice and had the right amount of space for us. When we arrived it really exceeded our expectation. It was decorated so nice, it was clean and had everything you could think of to use. Dana (the host) was so sweet attentive. Shout out to her dog such a nice pup who came to visit us by the fire. There were plenty of out door games to play. Axe throwing and connect 4, so fun. We made use of the complimentary kayaks. So peaceful. We had coffee on the deck over looking the river in the morning. Just exactly what we were looking for a peaceful get-away. I highly reccomend this hosts cabins. Thank you Russ and Dana for hosting we will be back.
It was a very nice stay and nice property. The other cabins are closer to ours than we anticipated so if you have noisy neighbors, it's kind of a drag. There was a group near us that played obscene music at top volume for HOURS. It would be nice if that were one of the rules - no loud music/disturbing other campers. Also, we got the impression that you could see the river from our cabin but you can't because other structures are in the way. Not a big deal, but if you want to be ON the river, be sure to book one of the cabins that has an unobstructed view. Also, the kayaks are for shared use by two cabins so if someone else us using them, they aren't available. The place was very clean and comfortable. (Couches need new cusions for comfort but were ok.) Also, only have DirectTv so if you don't like that bring your own DVDs. Also there is free wifi but it is VERY weak and slow so don't count on good signal. The owners are very nice and helpful and responsive to texts if you need something. (Oh and the propane tank on the grill was empty so we ended up using charcoal we'd brought for the outside grill.) They have the sweetest dog (the owners) named Alli and she is super sweet. Overall it was a very nice weekend and the river is beautiful! It was such clear cool water and very relaxing to kayak on.
This could of been a good stay but the owner decided to have a bad attitude.
When we arrived, after a 2.5 hour drive, we entered the cabin. The very first thing I noticed was strong chemical smell. The first thing I said was "smells like WD40, man that this strong!"
My daughter's boyfriend said "you know it smells like gasoline." I agreed, that is exactly what it was. Also turns out that this cabin is above and adjacent to a garage with vehicles in it.
At this point I was not terribly upset. I saw the owner outside and said "smells like gas in our room, I just wanted you to know it wasn't us who spilled gas in there."
I said this with a smile. I honestly wanted here to know there was a problem. I continued to unload the car. The owner/manager, Owner went inside and talked to my wife and kids.
Later, my wife says the owner said there was no smell and asked if we wanted a refund so we could stay somewhere else. At this point I am upset. Is she saying we are lying or crazy? Every single person smelled gasoline. She either has COVID or is dishonest. Also, like I can just stay somewhere else on a moment's notice!
My mother, has been a recurring customer and recommended we stay there. You would think we would get decent service. Nope.
This is what we wanted:
1. Owner to know there was a problem involving dangerous chemicals.
2. We did not want to breathe gasoline for two days.
What we got was poor service and a complete lack of concern. Can't be trusted.
We enjoyed our stay despite dirty silverware, dirty coffee maker with old pod left in it, horrible internet service, bedroom remote not working properly that even our teens had difficulty with, and uncomfortable sofa/loveseat (both of which make out into beds)and lots of doâs and donâts. We expect for things like that to occur. Location is rural, quiet, and awesome. My husband did ask about bringing a friend and told $25/night extra. He was told to just leave it on the bar. His friend and our oldest son only stayed for 1 night-less than 24 hours. My husband was called by upset manager after we left asking what we did to the dryer to leave it dirty and stained as well as pictures being sent via texts and why we didnât leave $50 for 2 nights for the extra person. He told her that his friend only stayed for 1 night and that our ice chest drained (the plug had gotten dislodged)on a rug with rubber backing. He cleaned everything up and put the rug and cooler outside to dry. Before we left, he put the rug in the dryer for about 20 min. The rubber backing crumbled like old bath mats do when he did. My husband found a wet dry vac and vacuumed everything out out of the dryer and lint catcher. Needless to say, we were put on the no rent to list and told to forget their number because we did not leave $50 for both nights when 2 occupants were only there for 1 night and not cleaning the dryer and for having the audacity to bring a cooler inside. She made it sound like we destroyed the place and zero respect for the property and owners which we didnât nor thought that. We try to leave properties including hotel rooms as close as possible to how we found it hence how a car was found under the couch lol. Unfortunately, we did not live up to the ownerâs expectations and weâre left with feeling attacked and like we were trash.
So grateful to have a place for our family to get away! This trip was my husband and brother in law getting away and it was just what they needed! Thank you for being a great host!
Very nice, clean and quiet. From the pictures we thought that this cabin was overlooking the river, it wasn't. But the river was maybe only a 50 yard walk so no big deal. Other than that this place was off the beaten path, very peaceful and quiet. I would recommend it
I absolutely loved it. Beautiful, peaceful, clean, quite and had everything we needed. The river is across the road, private road. They have cover areas to enjoy the view. Kayaks to enjoy. I highly recommend it here. Even seen a few đŠ
