4 chambres, 2 salles de bain, à 100 mètres de la plage, 3. 8 mile post, 3 lits queen, 1 double, 1 twin. Vue sur l'océan de pont arrière avec seulement une courte promenade à la plage peu fréquentée. Un niveau de vie avec laveuse / sécheuse dans le garage entièrement clos. Cuisine entièrement équipée. Cuisine récemment mis à jour avec de nouveaux armoires / comptoirs en granit et salles de bains récemment mis à jour. La zone sous le chalet est en béton et pavés avec une table de pique-nique et un hamac et est un endroit idéal pour se détendre lors des chaudes journées d'été.

Description was accurate, house has everything plus more smalls items needed for convenience, communication with host was simple and often, house was clean and roomy, walk was very easy even with small children, private path and private access rather then public access was great. We would love to rebook this house again to stay with our children.

Wonderful, friendly host family. Great communication. Family friendly space. Cupboard fronts, door knobs, and under beds were very dirty. Had to clean a little before family arrived. Home was otherwise very welcoming and well equipped.Suggest updating back porch view for accuracy.Wonderful yard. Way more space than we expected!

Fantastic trip! Communication with the host was excellent, the house was well stocked with all of the little things you want on a vacation, the location was AMAZING (short walk to the beach just as advertised). We had a great time and will def return.

The Hamilton was very clean and came with some extras in the kitchen. It’s a spacious property - lots of areas to relax with friends / family. Jim was fantastic with staying in touch and making sure we were checked in and secure . This is a very comfortable and spacious beach house - we will be back to stay again!

Great Stay!

I cannot say enough about how fabulous the Hamilton's are! They helped us book a last minute vacation for my family of five and my father (from FL). We wanted a last minute getaway to celebrate my birthday and they worked with us, went above and beyond to make my day special!! The house was very well stocked with any kitchen item you would need, my boys (2, 4, and 6) went to the ocean everyday (brrrr) to come back and rinse off (and warm up) in the outdoor shower. Great location and the trail to the beach was wonderful. The house was very clean and provided items you may have forgotten to bring! Great stay and even better memories, thank you for everything!

Awesome beach house!

My family goes to the Outer Banks every year, and every year we pick a different beach house, mostly because we like to try new things and new areas, but this beach house was so great that we definitely plan to return. It has a front deck and a back deck, giving you a place to relax regardless of where the sun is positioned. The beach is just a short walk away...very manageable for small children and seniors. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The house is an open layout, beautifully furnished, and very clean. If you're looking for a 4 BR beach house, look no further. You will not be disappointed.

Happy Relaxed (now) Family

Mike and I and our daughter and five children had the time of our lives. We enjoyed the beach, of course; but the house was perfect, clean and comfortable with a well supplied and attractive kitchen, comfortable beds in a very relaxing atmosphere. The outdoor shower was a busy place after the beach. The two decks were very comfortable, especially with the constant breeze. The kids enjoyed having their own TVs. We all loved the games we found in the cupboard and your hospitality was much appreciated. As the saying goes........"We shall return!"

Great Stay, Awful post-rent experience

This home is a really great place to stay, especially if you are coming with two families. The layout is two bedrooms and a bathroom on either side. And it is well stocked, especially for families with kids. There is a view of the ocean, but an obstructed one. We really had a great time here. While booking, the owner was responsive and seemed to answer all our questions adequately. However, our real problems came with check out and the security deposit. There was no rental agreement to sign, and no clear-cut instructions with regard to check out. The two things that were clearly stated were that we were to leave the keys in the house and lock the front door, replacing the lockbox key where it belonged. Also, to bring the trash to the curb. Other than this, there was a vague request to, “leave the place the way we found it”, but nothing more specific. Despite the unclear checkout instructions, we didn't want to leave the place a total mess, so did all the dishes, put them away except for the final load in the dishwasher, washed the kitchen linens, wiped down counters, swept the floors, and vacuumed any major messes. We even deep cleaned a coffee maker that clearly needed it. Then, we left the keys as instructed, locked the doors, and brought the garbage to the curb before leaving. Two weeks later, I still had not received my deposit nor had the owners contacted me beyond a message saying they hoped I'd enjoyed the stay and please book again. I emailed asking what was going on, and received a message with a list of things they felt we had not done during checkout as we had not left the place EXACTLY as we left it. End result: they kept half our deposit. They didn't even respond when I emailed a response to their list. Bottom line: these owners expect you to make the place perfect, and ready for the next guest. Despite a cleaning fee built into the rent, you need to be prepared to do all the scrubbing if you want your damage deposit returned. Also, take very good pictures of everything as you arrive and when you are leaving. I did not, and regret it. I would also ask for a detailed check out sheet BEFORE handing over any money. Also, stay on top of the deposit as they left it to me to contact them about it. Knowing all of this now, I would absolutely not stay there again, nor would I have booked it if they had been clear about how picky they would be about the house.

We regret that you decided to change your comments and initial 5 star review after we deducted a partial amount of security deposit due to the condition of the cottage. In our 30 years of renting and 3 years on VRBO, this has been a first for us. Clearly, there was a rental contract through the on line VRBO site and also clear information concerning checkout on the hospitality site and in our cottage information book, as well as a conversation with the owners on your last day asking you to leave it in the same condition as you found it. There was a toaster with a burned cord that was taped as well as extensive cleaning above the usual that needed to be done (gum in carpet, finger painted doors, food on carpet, etc.) The guest was contacted within the timeframe concerning the security deposit and provided a list of issues and asked for comments. Unfortunately, the guest chose to use the review forum for response. Hopefully, our previous 5 star reviews will let future guests understand, that we provide a clean, comfortable home for their use.

The process of booking and staying here for our family vacation was great. Jim contacted me a couple days prior to check-in to answer any questions we had and gave us information on the house and the area. The house was perfect for us. We had 4 adults and a 4 year old. We had plenty of space, the views from the back deck were amazing and we were super close to the beach. We are already looking to book for next summer. 10/10.

We really enjoyed our stay and had a great trip! The house was a nice fit for our family, and we enjoyed the space and location. We loved the cover porch since we had quite a few rainy days. Overall, we were comfortable and had a positive experience.The only issue we encountered was quite a few ants in the kitchen. We had to be mindful of our food, as we could not leave anything out on the counter. The photo of the beach from the back deck was a little misleading. The backyard was blocked by several large trees. Aside from that, we enjoyed the house and our time. It was a great place to stay for our vacation!

Enclosed garage to keep your vehicle out of sun and salt air. You're almost there, once you get over the Wright Memorial Bridge - unlike other OBX locations that will take you another hour plus.
