We had a great stay! The location and view of the gondolas were fantastic. Our group of ten adults found the house clean and exactly as describedâan older home, but that added to its charm. The layout worked well for us: two bedrooms on the main floor, each with a full/queen bed; two twin beds in the loft; and a downstairs bedroom with a full bed and a bunk bed.The ski access was a highlightâwe walked to the Home Stretch trail via the path at the end of Mini Drive and were able to ski back by exiting Home Stretch at the second tunnel at Great Trail Road. The house was warm, spacious, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend!
This house comfortably fit 12 of us and exceeded our expectations. The gondola passes over the house and itâs just a 3 minute walk to an easy blue trail!
Absolutely amazing little mountain home. The pictures definitely don't do it justice!! Heated floors were to die for and so was the sauna which comfortably sat 3-4 people. Gorgeous mountain views and very close to Killington. Only downside was that the gondola by the house wasn't open but that is definitely not on the homeowners! Mudroom was perfect for our skiing and snowboarding equipment. We had a bed for all 5 of us which was really nice. For the price this was absolutely unbeatable! Would absolutely stay there again.
Only gave this place 4 satrs on accuracy of listing because the sleeping arrangements have been upgraded. 2 beds in the loft, master bedroom and bedroom on the first floor, bed and bunk bed in the basement, with a futon in the ping pong room. Beds for 12 with plenty of room for air matresses.
Overall perfect setup for our group of 6 adults and 6 teenagers.
Walking distance to ski in/out trail, which was helpful in our 24" weekend. Would have never made it to the mountain without that option.
Will definitely consider staying here agin in the future!
Short walk to Home Stretch run, as long as the trail is open.
Much like other reviews, the photos don't do it justice. Very nice setup, a little dated and could use some refurbishing.
The windows and doors could use adjustment as they are near impossible to close. Just a warning to not open the windows.
Master bedroom bed could be softer. But overall we were happy with the house.
The house was OK for the price and served the purpose for the location being as it was close to the mountain. The heat in the house was great, very cozy and the heat kicked on quickly. We had a slight issue when we arrived but the owner was quick to get back to us and he was able to make good of the situation which we greatly appreciated.
Honest review, a lot of stuff didnât work. They are in the middle of renovations and some areas of the house were rough around the edges - broken bench in the sauna, definitely wear some sort of shoe inside, some of the kitchen didnât work (lights/stove fan), couches are comfortable but worn. I do wish we were made aware ahead of time of the state of the house, but overall we had a good time.
We had an enjoyable time. There was 11 of us and the space fit us okay. There are beds for 10 and a pull out sofa in the living room. It would be nice to have air mattresses or extra beds in the loft or basement so you don't need to use the sofa for a bed. Kitchen well stocked. Enjoyed the jacuzzi, sauna and the fireplace. and the view. There was plenty of good dry firewood. The entryway with cubbies and a heater for boots, shoes, gloves, helmets was very nice. Bath towels were really nice, large and soft. it is nice and close to Skyship Gondola unfortunately the weather did not cooperate so we needed to drive to the lift instead of ski to it, but it was a short drive. About a 15 minute drive if you want to access the other lifts at Killington. There are some maintenance things that are needed and are in the process of being addressed.
This is a cozy Vermont home with tons of space! It's quiet and secluded but still close to Skyeship, Snowshed and Ramshead bases. The wood burning fireplace is amazing, and the sauna was incredible after a day of skiing. The large floor to ceiling window in the living area brings in lots of light and the view is awesome. There are 7 beds in this house plus a pullout sofa. There is a ping pong table in the basement which provided hours of fun for us and the teen kids. The kitchen is fully stocked but bring a few extra garbage bags, dishwasher pods and laundry pods if you are staying more than a few nights. Unfortunately the ski-in/ski-out was not available but that's not unusual for December and the bases were easy to drive to and Snowshed has valet parking for $40 which was worth every penny. Only negative was the master bed mattress which needs an upgrade but otherwise this place was perfect!
House has a lot of nice amenities that are hard to come by. Unlimited firewood, sauna, heated floors and a ping pong table! The owner was responsive and easy to work with.
Skiing was great, house was better. Sauna and living area made the trip very memorable. Front walk was not shoveled or sanded when we arrived, but if that's the only the downside, I'lll take it.
We stayed here to ski during winter break week. This is a nice house and like other reviewer already said, it's actually nicer than the picture looks. the location is super. It is next to home stretch trail with maybe 300 ft walk. You can actually come back to the house for lunch if you want. The house is big enough to hold 10-12 ppl. I wish it has more beds in either in loft or basement. The landlord, Mark, is very kind, accommodate and easy to work with. In fact, before our trip, we asked to move our booking one day forward and had no problem. The only reason I gave 4 star is that there was a leak in the loft due to the amount of snow on the roof and really affected our stay. I understood that this kind situation is not predicable and happend. Mark is very responsive to resolve the issue and refund us part of the rent. Overall, it was a great experience for us.
