We got there late on Christmas Eve, instructions to check in & get into the building were clear & easy to follow. Christmas Eve is very noisy there! People setting off fireworks, shooting guns & whooping and hollering⊠very festive! Immediately realized that the condo is on an extremely steep hill. It is super close to the Malecon, but literally straight down. This makes for stunning views from the lovely condo & roof top pool, just be prepared to hike. Bring your walking shoes. Wearing heels is not a thing. We had a great time on the balcony watching the cabs try to make it up the steep hill. Condo was great but we were there with another couple & had planned on the rooms being very similar. The listing does not specify the bed sizes, & the pictures are a wide view which makes the beds both look like kings. They are not. One is a king and one is a queen. We realized in the second half of our trip that contacting Yasmin, our concierge, was the best decision ever! She was super awesome, & arranged cabs to take us golfing (twice) for considerably less than it would have been to book them ourselves. She also arranged for a nurse to come to the condo for our pre departure covid tests, which was quick, easy, and they emailed us our results within 3 hours, & she arranged our cab to the airport for us. The keyless entry pads showed low battery twice, and Yasmin was there right away to replace them! She was absolutely great!! The farmers market on Saturday was cool & we got some delicious local coffee! Sitting on the balcony w/a cuppa coffee in the morning & gazing out at the bay was our fav! Our favorite places that we ate were: Sonorita Los Altos (amazing Mexican food & delicious drinks for affordable prices), Casa Tradicional which is right by the church (great food!!), Barcelonas Tapas (great food & views), Tre Piatta (homemade pasta & Italian food), & Los Muertos brewery for pizza & beer in the zona romantica! We had the best massages ever at Blue Massage! My husband golfed at Vista Vallarta and El Tigre, & both were lovely. We went to Rhythms of The Night on Christmas which was a party boat ride to a cool Circe du soleil type show, highly recommend! & for adults we also went to see Mama T!t$, which is a drag comedy & music show! She was hilarious w/amazing vocals. Rooftop pool was great (but water was chilly) & mostly deserted except for us! Stunning views of the bay & fireworks shows on New Years Eve! We had great internet connection, no issues.
Everything was great except WiFi kept cutting in and out. Hence, continuous streaming of TV programs was not possible.
We plan to rent the same condo next year. Hopefully the WiFi problems will be fixed.
