This single-story home enjoys a particularly lovely setting in small-town Mills River, where it sits within earshot of church bells across the cornfield. Here in town, you'll have easy access to local breweries, restaurants, and shops within a mile or two. When you're ready to get out and explore, you can meet up with the Blue Ridge Parkway at the North Carolina Arboretum (10 miles), make a day of it in downtown Hendersonville (10 miles) or Asheville (19 miles), or treat yourself to some of the nation's best hiking, mountain biking, tubing, and kayaking nearby.
Spend a morning here and you'll quickly understand why the homeowner's family has resided on this road for over 200 years. Step out into the spacious backyard, watch the fog blanket the cornfield before quickly dissipating, and set the table on the deck for an alfresco breakfast. In the evenings, you can light the gas grill for summer barbecues, join your kids for games of tag in the fenced yard, and roast marshmallows around the firepit as the sun begins to set.
