Upon arrival the rental was clean and orderly. Owner was very responsive to any questions. Very spacious and loved that each bedroom had access to its own bathroom. Would highly recommend this home for a relaxing week at the beach!
We booked this beach house July 18â25 and had to leave early due to unbearable heat and lack of real resolution. When we arrived, the house was already warm. By Saturday, it was 78 inside and climbing. The host responded quickly and sent an HVAC tech, but he only changed a filter. A second tech said the ductwork needed work but couldnât fix it.By Monday, the house hit 89 inside. We have 3 small kids â one got sick from the heat, and another woke up from a nap soaked in sweat. At that point, we had no choice but to leave for their safety. The host offered window units after three days of discomfort, but we declined â too little, too late. She refused to refund the remaining nights, insisting the issue was âresolved,â despite the house needing multiple units just to stay at 74. VRBO had to step in and refund us, determining she was out of policy. Also: the house wasnât clean â dirty silverware, filthy floors. We had to wear shoes indoors.Quick replies donât make up for poor conditions and a dismissive attitude. We wonât rent from this host again
Had issues checking in because I couldnât fill out the paperwork online because there was no way to upload anything. And I got contacted two days before we left and said I had to have that paperwork in today or we couldnât get in and there was no way to print it out. There was no way to do anything. Furthermore, I couldnât even get her number because Verbo blocks out the exchange of numbers. We finally figured it out And we show up to check in⊠When you pay such a high cleaning fee, you expect the property to be cleaned. There was no bedding down. There is no pillows in one of the rooms. At this point, I was still good, not worth complaining about. When I got there, Iâm a professional musician. I had to go straight to the pier and play a show. The next morning, I noticed one of the mirrors in the bathroom is leaning. I take a picture of it and send it to the property manager, who hasnât been at the property mind you in a very long time Iâm sure. Just a cleaning crew. She says well normally people do walk-throughs when they get there so that wasnât like that. Thatâs a contemptuous statement and very assuming. So I look on the back of the mirror and the hooks that itâs standing on, which I took videos of are just stuck straight in the drywall and could fall out at any time. The mirror was a huge safety hazard, and I pointed that out multiple times through text, videos, and pictures. Then a toilet wouldnât flush and they ignored me for 2 days about a plunger. Wont be back.
