Welcome to our luxury rustic home in the pines that is tranquil and private, with immediate access to hiking and biking trails, yet only steps away from the hustle and bustle of historic downtown Flagstaff...the best of both worlds!
This unique, multi-level property, built into the hillside with wrap-around decks and soaring views, comes complete with an elevator, contemporary furnishings and modern amenities. Although large enough to sleep your entire crew, youâll feel completely at home and cozy united with family and friends.
Our property will greet you with a stunning first impression upon arrival. This custom home is built on heavily treed hillside in a tranquil neighborhood on a very quiet cul de sac. The propertyâs unique position, elevated high above the canyon, combined with its multi-level, wrap-around decks, provide breathtaking canyon and sunset views.
This custom built property is not only beautiful on the outside, but also stunning on the inside! As you enter the property you will be greeted by warm and welcoming colors, soaring ceilings, an abundance of natural light coming from large windows and a feeling of belonging and home. Due to the homeâs location, expansive windows and natural setting, you will often get to see some otherwise timid deer peeking through the windows!
As you enter the front door, you immediately find the main and largest living area with comfortable reclining couches and seats, large smart TV, and a sizable dining table with seating for eight. This is the perfect room to spend time with friends and family, catching up on your favorite show or playing board games at the table while enjoying the view.
Just up a few steps from the main living area you will enter the expansive kitchen and additional dining area. The kitchen is equipped with all the modern amenities needed to prepare home-cooked meals during your stay and offers plenty of room with multiple work surfaces so that everybody can join in on the fun! A stove, with multiple burners, and two ovens will make cooking large meals for family and friends a breeze! The kitchen table, which seats eight, as well as counter space with four additional bar stools, is located close by for convenient dining. Overall, the kitchen is very spacious and perfect for preparing large family meals and easy socializing.
Connected conveniently to the kitchen is a large walk-in pantry (with a conveniently accessible second refrigerator/freezer) and laundry room (with a XL washer, dryer, ironing station and utility sink). Also, from the kitchen you will have direct access points to the outdoor BBQ area and cozy fire pit seating area on one of the many outside decks that wrap around the house.
If you head back down the steps from the kitchen to the main living space and then enter the second living room, you will find a large, plush leather couch and reclining chair situated in front of our big smart TV and stone fireplace. Board games and other toys can also be found here to entertain your groupâŠfeel free to browse through the closet and enjoy!
From this second living area, you will have direct access to a half bathroom as well as our first master suite with an attached full bathroom (with shower/tub combo). Sweet dreams are guaranteed in our King bed with an organic plush mattress, remote controlled ceiling fan to cool the room, a large clothes closet, an attached sun/yoga/exercise room and a large smart TV. From this same living room, there are multiple doors opening up to the furnished deck that wraps around this floor, providing an opportunity to relax and unwind while watching a sunset and taking in the breathtaking views of the surrounding area.
Just a few steps up from the front deck, you will also find a covered and heated outdoor lounging area, complete with a propane heater and fire pt. This is the perfect place to enjoy your favorite beverage while watching the sunset on a chili Northern Arizona evening.
Following the staircase upstairs from the second living room, you will reach the uppermost floor where the remaining three bedrooms and bunk room are located. The bunk room features one twin-sized and one full-sized bunk, for a total of four beds. The room is large and ideal for the young ones, with plenty of floor space to play.
At the opposite end of the top floor, is an expansive master bedroom, with a king-sized bed, large walk-in closet, ceiling fan, big screen smart TV, your own mini fridge and coffee bar and a sizable desk that can be used as quiet workspace. The master bedroom has direct access to private decking, one that is furnished, that partially wraps around both the back and front of the home. The attached master bathroom comes with dual sink vanity, a large jacuzzi tub and dual-head shower (both easily fit two). The shower easily becomes a steam room with just the push of a button located conveniently within the shower...a wonderful feature to use after a long day out on the trails!
On the same side of the hallway, just outside of the master bedroom, are two adjacent large guest rooms--one with a king, the other with a queen mattress. Both come equipped with plush organic mattresses, remote controlled ceiling fans and large closets. In addition, there is a large smart tv mounted in the bedroom with the King bed. A full bathroom, with both tub and shower, sink and separate vanity, is conveniently closeby, located just outside of these two guestrooms.
To allow for easy and convenient transitions between the four floors, from the garage all the way up to the top, there is a small elevator that can fit 3-4 people or a carrying capacity of up to 950 lbs. Note: Children under the age of 18 may not use the elevator unsupervised.
To ensure that the home is family-friendly, we a provide easy-to-add stair guards, a high chair, and a pack and play. For additional safety, the bunk room sliding door has a hard-to-reach lock to prevent easy access to outside decks.
Finally, there is a large, three-door garage, with convenient access to a half bathroom as well as a Tesla EV charger (available to all EVs with proper adapter) that can be used to charge your vehicle during your stay with us.
This home is a very spacious, 4300 sf home and perfect for large family gatherings. The four bedrooms easily accommodate 8 people. There is also a bunk room (in a large loft on the top floor) that can accommodate an additional four people, for a total of 12 people. The base rate listed is for 8 guests and an additional fee will be charged for any guests exceeding 8. This additional guest fee covers the extra cost of laundering linens, utility consumption, cleaning and home wear and tear. For each guest over the base of 8, there will be an additional fee of $50/guest/night. This is standard practice for a home of this size.
You will receive detailed check-in instructions (including the address, lock box code, etc) one day before your arrival. Guests will have access to the entire property, except for two locked closets.
Please Note the Following:
1) NO smoking or vaping of any kind or wood burning fires in and around the property (there is an extensive sprinkler system that will be activated and flood the home if smoke is detected)
2) NO parties or events held on-premises
3) NO additional guests may stay at the property beyond those confirmed by the reservation
4) NO street parking or RV parking on street or on driveway (per HOA).
5) Absolutely no pets (see service animal exceptions, below)

1. Is the dog a service animal required because of a disability?

We do not charge extra for a service dog, nor do we increase the security deposit. Guest remains liable for any and all damage caused by people or a dog.
Under the ADA, service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the service animalâs work or the individualâs disability prevents using these devices. In that case, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective controls. The service animal must be under control of the handler at all times, and therefore, should never be left alone at any time.
If we discover a guest has misrepresented a pet as a service animal, we reserve the right to seek financial restitution, report fraudulent claims to government authorities and to evict the guest(s) without further notice. In the latter case, there will be no right to a refund for unused rent.
In 2022, both VRBO and the airlines no longer treat Emotional Support Animals as Service Animals. If you have an ESA, please filter your search for pet friendly properties, only.

After living and raising our family near the beautiful California coast for 30 years, we retired, bought this home and started exploring the Northern Arizona countryside. "North Worthington Place", nestled on 1.6 acres of a heavily treed hillside lot and perched high above the canyon with panorama canyon views, gives the feeling of being close to nature and away from the hustle and bustle of the town; yet, when you're ready for a little more activity, you are right on the outskirts of town and just a short drive or walk to all the best shops, restaurants and sightseeing that Historic Flagstaff has to offer. As an extra bonus, the Sunset Trail, part of the expansive Flagstaff Urban Trail System, is located directly behind the home providing access to 1000's of miles of hiking trails and a direct pathway and short 1.5 mile walk to Buffalo Park!

Not only is the home architectually unique, the location provides the best of both worlds...a quiet, peaceful setting in nature with quick access to trails, yet just minutes (walkable!) to the vibrant shops, restaurants and sightseeing of Historic Downtown Flagstaff and Northern Arizona University.
