THE BANANA RIVER RETREAT is a 5 bedroom 4 bath vacation experience! This waterfront property is just a block from the beach featuring a game room (table tennis, pop-a-shot), swimming pool, fire pit, BBQ Grill , outdoor dining for up to 16 guests and kayaks you can launch from your backyard dock. The deep water canal's dock is equipped with a lift so you can even bring your own boat! FL License # DWE 1505954 Our place feels like a private resort! Just a block from the beach we provide beach towels, chairs & umbrellas, and wagon to help haul your beach gear. You can bring your own boat, launch our kayaks off your private dock. You may even spot manatees, dolphins and cranes! We provide 3 smart TVs with Roku Streaming TV service. Login to your own profiles on Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Disney+ HBO Max, Showtime, etc. Your profiles will be automatically deleted at checkout. Please let us know if you will have more than 8 guests as only registered guests will be allowed onsite Guest services can be reached at any time to give restaurant, bike rental, nightlife recommendations. We have high expectations of our cleaners and compensate them accordingly. Even paying an additional bonus whenever guests take the time to let us know the house was sparkling clean. Beware of properties who charge low or no cleaning fees. Many of these cut corners such as not washing all floor mats & bed spreads between guests. Instead they clean such items only periodically. My family and I enjoyed our stay at the stunning waterfront oasis. It was an excellent choice for relaxation and for nature lovers, allowing us to take in the beautiful surroundings, especially from the private pier. The outdoor seating areas enhanced our experience. The master bedroom suite was spacious, featuring a balcony that overlooked the water, and the spiral staircase leading to the pool was a fantastic feature, providing easy access to the outdoors. The game room was a nice bonus for entertainment. The property was clean, offered stunning views, and had well-appointed amenities that contributed to a memorable vacation. Additionally, its proximity to the beach and local attractions made it even more appealing.

Family Vacation

We had one of our best family vacations at this house! The house is beautiful, extremely clean, great location and large enough for our family- grandparents, adult kids, grandchildren and a baby great-grandson. Everyone kyacked on the river, swam in the pool and lots of ping-pong and basketball competitions. We saw Manatees in the river right off the deck everyday and even saw a pair with a baby! The beach is right across the main road, and quite beautiful. The host was extremely responsive with any questions I had meeting up to our arrival. Upon arrival, I called to get a vacuum cleaner because we have a nine month old baby who was crawling and just wanted to be able to keep our floors clean as we came in and out and the cleaning company was there in a very short time to deliver a vacuum. The house was well stocked with essentials, so all in all if you want a beautiful, clean, well located, well managed and extremely fun house to stay in. I would definitely recommend this home. Everyone would love to go back!

Excellent stay

Beautiful house in excellent location. We were my partner and I, 3 daughters and 1 son in law, 2 grandchildren 3.5 and 1.5 yrs and my 95 year old mom. We enjoyed the open kitchen, living and dining area as well as the beautiful yard- pool, fire pit, grass to a dock, grill and dining. Kayaking was great, beach a 20 minute walk and the canal beautiful.

Spacious home with beautiful views

Our family, 6 adults and 4 children, ages 12 to 16, loved the spacious home located in a nice, quiet neighborhood. We really enjoyed all the amenities including the pool, fire pit and game room. Walking to the ocean was easy and we did it almost everyday. We were able to see a rocket launch at Cape Canaveral. Disney and Universal are a little over an hour away. Our stay was a lot of fun and very relaxing. Stephanie is as a great host and was very responsive.

This is a gem worth returning to again.

We arrived later in the night and was happy to find everything was as described. It was such a relief to have one less travel worries. My family enjoyed every aspect of our stay, from the kayaking to the awesome view. The house was so big and clean. The decorations was the cherry on top. We look forward to going back again soon.

Hurricane Milton Fiasco

We had a group of nearly 15 people going for an adult sports tournament in the area and the from the beginning the host was very responsive and understand of our needs and requests with such a large group. Leading up to our check in, Hurricane Milton was making landfall and again this host was very responsive, flexible and willing to work with the group on early arrivals due to the situation. Unfortunately, we weren't able to make it out and had to cancel our trip but again the host was very understanding and went above and beyond to help refund a part of what we've paid and offered us a generous future credit. The refund was issued timely and through the whole process they kept in contact with me. I can't express my appreciation enough and the efforts to make an unfortunately experience less troublesome. As we didn't make it to the house, I'm not able to speak on the property but I can contest that working with this host was a very pleasant experience and I can only imagine the actual house experience would have been just as pleasant. A very grateful thank you!

Wonderful Stay

A week at the beach was very enjoyable in this great property with plenty of room for everyone. There were plenty of beach towels and bath towels for everyone. We enjoyed multiple trips out in the kayaks (5) and even saw dolphins one evening. We also used the firepit that had chairs for the whole family. It was late in the year, so the pool was a bit cold, but the kids still enjoyed time in the pool. We had one minor issue with the front door lock, but the owner was very quick to respond and help us work through the issues, which was much appreciated. We were also fortunate to stay when there was a SpaceX rocket launch, which was fun to see. I would highly recommend the new ice cream shop Rockin Retro Ice Cream Parlor. Jennifer, the owner, was fantastic and the ice cream was top-notch.

Family beach vacation

Wonderful, comfortable home. Very clean. Great layout with many open large areas for the large group and privacy for individuals. We were able to fish from the dock and saw several dolphins including a mother child pair. Appreciated the pool and beach toys. Close to beach, we drove most of the time but walked occasionally. Good parking at beach.

Perfection!

Large family and thrilled! Sometimes the listing is misleading and the property under-delivers. In this case If I could give this property more than 5 stars I would! It’s a 10 out if 5! Location is idyllic - sitting on a nice quiet canal with easy access to the calm bays of the Banana and Indian rivers. Fishing off the dock; manatees and sea turtles in the canal regularly (we did not see dolphins but heard that they visit). Easy 5 min walk to beach on Atlantic side at Lori Wilson park (awesome waves for surfing and boogie boarding) Publix less than a mile away is convenient. Tons of good food options nearby. House is beautiful and well appointed. Kitchen pre-stocked with essential spices and condiments (nice touch and a “pay-it-forward@ opportunity) Outdoor areas are abundant and paradise-esque. We were there for a baseball tournament at USSA SPACE COAST and the drive was an easy 30 min. This might be the best VRBO rental we have ever had!

Amazing location - we loved our stay

This house location is fab. We loved being outside and saw manatees with babies, dolphins and even otters feeding as we sat on the deck. The pool was fab. The house is a little tired in places especially the windows which didn’t slide well and the locks were a little temperamental hence the additional wooden poles Even with this I would still give it 5 stars.

Amazing Guest Experience~

My family booked our annual family vacation at the Banana River Retreat several months in advance. From the day we booked until even days after our stay, the host was in constant communication with us. This impressed me more than anything. She was always pleasant and helpful. The home was very clean and had so many personal touches. There was such an attention to detail we felt as if we were staying in our home. There wasn't one thing missing from the amenities of this home. The outdoor space was perfect with multiple tables, chairs, pool floats, and games. The pool is perfectly located to provide shade throughout the day. The sleeping accommodations were well thought out for large families. We are all about location when we choose our vacation homes. We were not disappointed. The beach was very close and the neighborhood was safe and quiet. The host did a wonderful job making our annual vacation special. I highly recommend this vacation home to families who want accommodations that feel like a family retreat.

Great time!

Loved the house and location. We stayed here during the boat races with friends and family and it was perfect! The house was great, it was in a perfect location for us across the street from Lori Wilson park, the pool worked great for the kids, and the house had everything you could possibly need. Great time highly recommend!!!

Lovely Home, Wonderful Amenities

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We loved the kayaks, ping pong and overall house layout was excellent. The weather prohibited us from enjoying the pool or fire pit but they looked fabulous. Would highly recommend!

Daughters 18th birthday!

What an amazing place! Our first VRBO stay and it did not disappoint. Perfect for a large group. There was 13 of us ranging from 2 to 75 from my grandbabies, my kids to my parents and there was plenty of space and things to do. The kayaks were a big plus! My kids and grandkids loved them. Watched the dolphins and manatees from the dock and kayaks. Kids fished from daylight till dark. Nice short walk to the beach. Upstairs room was a great hang out for the kids and grandkids. House is stocked with everything you will need besides food and your personal belongings. Thank you so much for this beautiful place to make these wonderful memories! Stephanie was a great host and we hope to be back soon!

Great Family Getaway

We were looking for a way to celebrate our mother's 80th birthday and decided to forego a big party and just spend quality time together instead. The Banana River Retreat fit the bill perfectly. There were 7 adults so the number of rooms and bathrooms allowed for separation and privacy, while the living spaces gave us the time together we desired. We relaxed in the pool, we kayaked, we cooked in the massive kitchen and we played games at the table when it briefly rained. We were blessed to have been able to view a shuttle launch from the upper balcony which was a pleasant surprise. The setting and the atmosphere was just what we all needed and Mom had a wonderful and memorable birthday celebration. My suggestion to future guests would be to bring Skin so Soft as the noseeums in this part of the state can be brutal & unforgiving and ear plugs may be helpful as well - the bullfrogs at night can lead to a restless sleep. I would definitely recommend The Banana River Retreat to families looking for plenty of space to gather.
