À propos de cet hébergement

Clean Slate est une belle 4 chambres, 4 salles de bains maison unifamiliale directement sur le Golfe du Mexique. La plage est à votre porte et l'eau est à quelques pas. Notre maison offre une pause des plages surpeuplées, libres de la congestion associée à condominiums.

Clean Slate dispose d'aménagements, mobilier fournissent l'environnement confortable pour des vacances ou de retraite. Lorsque Clean Slate est pas loué, nous (les propriétaires) occupent la maison. Ceci assure les meilleurs soins et l'entretien (et il montre). La maison est très propre.

Il ya deux suites de maître avec deux chambres supplémentaires. La maison peut accueillir douze personnes confortablement, tout en lits (pas convertibles ou coulissants). Le salon principal est carrelée, avec des carpettes. Chaque chambre spacieuse est recouvert de moquette, a une salle de bain privée, ventilateur de plafond, de la télévision, et plus encore.

Perfect vacation

Really could not ask for a lovelier home to stay in. Clean, comfortable, spacious, well-equipped, and thoughtfully furnished, and of course, with spectacular views from their great location…..just a perfect oceanfront spot! Beach Life

This was our fourth trip to Clean Slate with our children and grandchildren, and we hope to return another day. The location is wonderful and the property is kept in great condition. We all love to cook and share meals, and the kitchen is well-equipped and perfect for family cooking. Communication with the owners is easy, and they are responsive to the renters’ needs. We love that our small dog is welcome in the house and on the beach. Highly recommend.

Our stay at Clean Slate was wonderful from beginning to end! The house was beautiful and very well taken care of. The owner was beyond helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. We had a huge tent, beach chairs and ice waiting for us upon our arrival. We would absolutely recommend this home and will definitely return!!

Perfect Vacation House

We cannot say enough nice things about this property and/or the owners! We travel with this group often and there were nothing but positive remarks the entire trip. This trip was without kids and the 8 of us each had our own room, bathroom & the kitchen was stocked perfectly for a group who likes to cook! This home is loved by it's owners and it shows. Also, the tent with chairs on the beach was such an added bonus. Highly recommend! Thank you, Dan & Helen!

I’ve been coming to Clean Slate Beach House for nearly 15 years, and every stay is nothing short of amazing! It’s become my go-to getaway, for good reason! From stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere that never fail to take our breath away to the immaculate home itself, with every detail thoughtfully designed to make it feel like a home away from home. We love that the beach is just steps away, providing easy access to the ocean (and beach volleyball) whenever we want. And when you’re done at the beach, the outdoor space is perfect for relaxing—from the outdoor shower to the incredible back decks (yes, decks!) and the play space and toys under the house when you need a break from the sun (or wind).Inside, the spacious and comfortable floor plan allows for quality time playing games, cooking in the fully stocked kitchen and watching movies with family and friends. And when it’s time to sleep, there’s not a bad room in the house. Mardi Gras Getaway

Dan and Helen are one of the best owners to work with. This is the 2nd time staying at their house. Clean Slate is as clean and pictured as in the past. It’s obvious they take pride in their beach house. Communication is quick, and they check on you throughout the stay, to make sure everything is good. Great stay!

Great Stay in Fort Morgan

We loved our time at clean slate. The house looks exactly like the pictures. We had plenty of space to spread out and the porch was lovely. We loved all the beach toys and chairs as well as the tent that was provided. We also enjoyed that this part of the beach is all houses, so it didn’t get crowded like some other areas of the gulf. Would recommend staying here!

Another Amazing Stay!

This was our second stay in Clean Slate and we will be back for sure! We again enjoyed the screened in porch very much. The house is stocked with about anything you could want or need. The layout of the house is great and the couches/ beds are very comfortable. Thank you Dan and Helen!

Great House! Great Location! Great Vacation!

Loved our week here! Wish we could've stayed longer! We returned to to Fort Morgan after several years and chose to return to this house again. We loved it the first time & it was even better this trip. No complaints! It has the most well equipped kitchen of any house we have ever rented. Beautifully decorated & very comfortable for 2 families with our kids ranging from 8-20. We will be back again!

Great beach house!!!

The house was exactly as portrayed in the pictures. The beach is mere steps away. The house lacked for nothing and was very clean. Helen was easily accessible and responded quickly to any concerns I had. I have no difficulty recommending this house to anyone.

Another Great Trip!!

Dan and Helen have done it again. This was our second trip to stay in this house and we weren't disappointed. Dan and Helen are the best hosts. Can't say enough good things about them. They have a great house right on the beach with EVERYTHING you need to have a great stay. We love staying at this house and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beach house with all the amenities. Thank you to Dan and Helen for a wonderful place to stay and we will be back as soon as we can. We started planning our next stay before we left. Book this house you won't be disappointed. I would give them 10 stars if I could..

Wonderful vacation home

We had a wonderful vacation at Clean Slate with our children and grandchildren. There was plenty of room for us to spread out and enjoy the property... whether it was taking an afternoon siesta in the hammock under the house; watching dolphins from the screened in porch; suntanning on one of the two decks; or playing in the surf and sand on the beautiful, clean beach out our back door. Our host, Dan, was very responsive to questions and concerns. The house was well equiped making our stay feel like home.

30th Anniversary gathering !!

What a fantastic place to stay!!! Everything was better than expected. Dan & Helen made this trip Special and so easy. All of our guests were blown away by all the little things, like they had a tent setup on beach with great beach chairs. Clean Slate was perfect! The kitchen had everything you needed, the beds were great and the house was immaculate!! We will definitely be coming back. We made great memories!! Thanks CLEAN SLATE!!

Excellent beech house with top notch owners!!

This was our first time renting a house on the beech instead of a condo. And we couldn't have pick a better place to stay than Clean Slate. This place truly is beautiful and clean. Dan was extremely helpful with answering all our questions prior to our trip and made us feel welcome in their home. Everything is there that you need to spend a wonderful vacation with friends or family. The only thing that was missing was a stocked fridge (which I'm sure could be arranged :-) ). We will definitely be returning to this great beech house the next time we visit. Thanks Dan and Helen for a wonderful first beech house experience.

Second time at this property

Second time at this property. It suits our family (six adults and a five year old) perfectly. Each couple has their own bedroom and bath. The house is big enough so that if one needs a little quiet you can escape to the hammock under the deck, the front porch sitting area, the screened in porch or one of two uncovered decks. This year there is also a canopy on the beach with chairs and tables. Yet the house is small enough that you don’t get lost in it. The kitchen seems to have everything you need for cooking great meals. It’s the Goldilocks house…..it’s just right

Fabulous and restful

The house is beautifully decorated. It looks like something out of Southern Living magazine. Sheets, bedding, pillows all first class. You also wont need anything for the kitchen. Perfection. There are a few stairs to navigate to get in if you have someone physically challenged as we did but he was able to navigate with railings and lighting on stairs. Everything so well thought out. This one is wonderful. Everything you need for beach provided. Dont bring your own chairs there are plenty supplied.

Wonderful!

We had a great week with family on the beach and a wonderful experience. It was our first family vacation after son-in-law returned from 6-month deployment overseas and daughter dealing with COVID, kids out of school, working from home....ummm....needed a break and time to reconnect. This was the first time renting a house. Dan was engaged host and very house clean. He was also very kind to have steaks/gift card welcoming son-in-law home. Definitely above and beyond the normal. We would definitely do this again. Dan is the best! Plus Clean Slate Beach House was warm & steps from ocean. Lots of great memories.

Care Free Vacationing

Clean Slate exceeded our families expectations and it was even better than the VRBO website illustrates! Though we were aware of the five-star rating and great reviews, we weren't ready for was just how complete Clean Slate would be. The owners care for the property and it shows. Everything was clean, fresh, and high quality. The home allows for plenty of privacy with each bedroom having its own private bathroom. When it was time to get together the large open den, dining, and bar areas made it easy for everyone to congregate. Access to the beach could not be easier. The dune walk goes right to the beach. The owners provide a huge tent, chairs, and cooler, which made the beach easy to enjoy. The screened-in porch was a great (and safe!) place for our young kids to play. With a clear view of the porch from the kitchen, it made watching our boys and preparing meals a breeze. The owners have clearly gone to great lengths to ensure the kitchen is well stocked with plenty of cookware, utensils, and other items necessary to prepare meals small and large. Given the beach house is on a limited access road there was no traffic other than guests and residents who live on the street, which was a nice bonus for us. On the one day of rainy weather we were able to leverage the parking pad to keep the kids entertained with plenty of activities. It's clear the owners care about the house and their guests - we highly recommend Clean Slate!

Pretty much perfection

The house and location were perfect. The area is beach houses and not condos. The house itself was just lovely. The kitchen was stocked with every utensil and small appliance you would need. Not to mention dish ware for adults and plastic for the smaller children. The kitchen was large enough for multiple cooks with a bar and bar stools for the onlookers. The bedrooms and beds were most comfortable. They were big enough to allow people a place to retreat if need be. I rented the house because of the covered porch. It did not disappoint. There are times you want to be outside but not in the sun. There was a bin of beach toys that had every child’s sand toy. Buckets, sandcastle molds, shovels….the list changes but it had everything a small child would want. We were looking for a house that could sleep six adults not in bunk beds. I also wanted it big enough to have private spaces. I wanted covered outdoor spaces.. We had been to Ft. Morgan 30 years ago and it actually had not changed that much. Family quiet area.

Best Birthday Ever!

We just spent a week at Clean Slate and loved it! The house was perfect for 3 couples and a grandbaby. I celebrated my birthday with 26 of my closest friends and family. The others in our party, who were staying in other homes, were very jealous of ours. It is very clean and neat, very well stocked, and "homey!" We have friends with a home right down the beach and they took the information on Clean Slate to recommend to their family and friends for rental. The night of my catered birthday dinner the power went off on the entire peninsula at 5:00 pm. The caterers had already prepared the food so they put it in chafing dishes with sterno. We borrowed candles from a friend down the beach, opened the French doors to the screen porch, and partied on. Not one person seemed to care. There was so much outside space that we didn't miss a beat. We hosted all ages from 17 months to 73 years. There was plenty for all to do. This home is well stocked with beach chairs, umbrellas, a tent, kayaks, boogie boards, sand toys, and just about anything you can think of. Check-in and check-out was a breeze and the owners were very easy to work with. They truly seemed to want to give us everything we needed for a great vacation. We will definitely rent this home again!

In my opinion this is the best place in the world. This is our go to place for a vacation and this year makes the fourth time we've been here. In 2013 my oldest daughter got engaged out on the beach here so it will always hold a special place in our hearts. The owner are amazing people to work with and have always done everything that they've said they will do. This year my youngest daughter lost her ring. The ring didn't a big $ value but it had huge sentimental value. We searched the beach area and in the house. We were driving home on Saturday and I get an e-mail from them with a picture attached saying that the cleaning people found a ring and wanted to know if it was ours. Needless to say that brought my daughter to tears and they're shipping the ring to us. So the honesty doesn't stop with the owners but it goes on to the ones they employ. Totally impressed! The place is always clean and the kitchen is totally stocked with everything you will ever need. The layout of the house is perfect for a large group. We usually have 10 people but it will handle 12 very comfortably. The other thing we look for is the size of the dinning table. They have a table that will handle our 10 people very easily. The other amazing thing is the screened in porch looking out at the beach & Gulf. It's great for the morning coffee and the evening for sipping whatever you sip. This year I sat on the beach all day every day. I went to Billy's Seafood and got fresh shrimp, snapper, & grouper. One night we went to Lulu's which is a regular stop for us. So yes to us the is The Clean Slate will always be our favorite place to vacation.

In the old days of nautical navigation, a slate tablet was kept near the helm on which the watch keeper would record speeds, distances, headings and tacks during his stay at the watch. At the change of watch, the slate tablet would be wiped clean. The new watch would always start with a clean slate.

In a similar way today, we refer to a new beginning or a second chance as starting with a 'clean slate'. Our family has found that we are able to come here, forget about the things that worry us, review our plans for the future and get a fresh start upon leaving. Pods of dolphins play in the water. The stars crowd the night sky in a spectacular display - you can actually see the Milky Way. To walk along the shores of Fort Morgan is to discover a place where time has seemingly distanced itself from the business of life. Perhaps it is the shape of the land, a long peninsula, which makes this place unique. Or perhaps something magical drifted in on the tropical breeze and simply never left.
