Williams House - 6-Bedroom Victorian Retreat & River Trailhead
Journey back in time in the immaculately preserved 1885 Victorian home of F.D. Williams, President of Rockefellerâs National Transit Company a block off the Allegheny River. A 6 bedroom boutique retreat with luxury mattresses, full amenities, cozy fireplaces, intricate woodwork & stained-glass windows with a fenced-in garden w/stone fireplace & pond where you can relax with morning coffee or after cycling or paddling along the river. A perfect venue for couples, families & groups.
Beautiful historical house. Very clean and comfortable. The bedrooms are large and have tvâs. Walking distance to the river and restaurants. The owner was very responsive.
Nicest private home we have ever stayed in. Tastefully restored elegant Victorian home with all modern amenities. Historical connection to the region helps make it even more special. Private large garden and patio area is lovely. We only used three of the six bedrooms most which have very comfortable king sized beds. Great place for larger groups to stay and relax.
This property is amazing. The host was extremely accommodating and the house was perfect. We needed somewhere to get together as a family for Easter and this property was exactly what we needed. We had an Easter egg hunt in the back patio area and Easter dinner at the huge dining room table. We could not have asked for a better experience.
I'm an Oil City native now in Washington, DC. I work with my hometown friends and relatives to help visitors experience Oil City in its Victorian heyday.
