Seascape - Oceanfront with Spectacular views

Seascape on Harbor Island is a beachfront home tucked into a friendly neighborhood at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. With five bedrooms, this spacious home allows you to immerse yourself in the gentle offshore breezes, swaying palm trees, and coastal birdsong of the South Carolina shore from any room.

There is space for three cars to park. Enter the home up a flight of stairs and onto a quaint front porch. Open the carved wood front door to the main floor kitchen and dining space. The kitchen features cherry wood custom cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and a tiered, granite-topped island with seating for four. There's also an elegant dining table with seating for eight. A glass-paneled door leads out to the private screened-in back deck, with views of the peaceful marsh and the ocean beyond. This home has a private boardwalk (shared with the neighbor) that leads directly out to the beach.
Up the staircase is a living space with comfy leather sofas and, a flat-screen television with basic cable. This living space is ideal for curling up with a bowl of popcorn for a family movie night. There's also a large private deck just off this living space. Relax out here in one of the rocking chairs and sit back and enjoy the ocean views and the world-class birdwatching.

Seascape on Harbor Island sleeps 10 people across 2 primary suites and 3 more spacious bedrooms.

1st Primary Suite- Main Floor

The main floor primary bedroom has gleaming wood floors and direct access to two balconies with ocean views. The private en suite bathroom features a walk-in shower with sea glass-inspired tiles.

Second Bedroom- Main Floor
Twin Bunk Beds
The other bedroom on the main floor has twin bunk beds that are perfect for the kiddos. This bedroom also has a private balcony with neighborhood views.

There is a full bathroom on the main floor with a jetted tub and a stackable washer and dryer. This bathroom is accessed from the hallway.

2nd Primary Suite- Second Floor
King Bed
The third-floor primary suite is located off the lofted living area. Similar to the main floor primary suite, this bedroom has access to one uncovered deck with ocean views and a comfortable seating area. A spacious, private en suite bathroom has a step-in shower.

Fourth bedroom- Second Floor

A cozy fourth bedroom has a private balcony with neighborhood views.

Fifth Bedroom- Second Floor

The fifth bedroom also has a private balcony with neighborhood views.

A third-floor full bathroom has a soaking tub with soothing jets. This bathroom is accessed from the hallway.

On the ground floor, there is a convenient outdoor shower for rinsing off sandy toes and salty skin. There is also a full refrigerator on the ground floor— making it easy to stash cold drinks or a few quick snacks for beach days. The backyard has a picnic table, chairs, and a charcoal grill. Gather your group together and grill up some fresh seafood or juicy burgers for dinner.

Renters must be over 25 years of age to reserve our property.

The Harbor Island pools are open from April 1 - November 1. You will have access to both condo pools as well.

Harbor Island Owners Association requires a gate pass to gain access to the private island. GATE PASSES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE! Vehicle gate pass fees are per vehicle, set by the Island, and are subject to change. Please contact our team after you book the property to purchase a pass. The current rates are; for a day pass $25.00; 2 nights $35.00; 3 nights $45.00; 4 nights $55.00; 5 nights $65.00; 6 nights $75.00; 7 nights $85.00; 8-30 nights $140.00; 31-364 nights $215.00

Fireplaces are not for guest use.

The garage is not for guest use.

Could have been better

The house wasn’t as clean as it could have been. The floors were sandy when we got there. There were fruit flies everywhere the whole week. There were also spiders and other bugs throughout the house. The pictures were very misleading when it comes to the size and layout of the house. The bedrooms that face the ocean have a lovely view, however, the windows have no curtains or blinds. So if you don’t want to wake up at sunrise you have to close the hurricane shutters- that leaves you with zero view. The rental manager and the HOA are not on the same page. The manager told us we could bring a trailer with our things in it. The guards at the gate made us pay an additional 85 to bring the trailer into the neighborhood. This was on top of the 85 per car we had to pay for the two additional vehicles my adult children drove. The house sleeps 10 people, how do they expect you to get 10 people to the house and all their belongings in 1 vehicle.The beach is good for small children at high tide, there are very little waves and the water is quite shallow. However, at low tide the water recedes about 200 yards. So you have to walk a really long way to get to the water.We were not happy overall with this rental or the island itself. We have been coming to the Beaufort area for about 20 years, the surrounding amenities are what saved this vacation.

WE WERE WITHOUT WATER FOR 2.5 DAYS OF OUR STAY WITH TODDLERS AND WOMEN WHO DEFINITELY NEEDED A BATHROOM. WE HAD TO GET WATER FROM THE POOL TO USE IN THE TOILETS. WE COULDN'T COOK BECAUSE WE COULDN'T EVEN CLEAN DISHES, WHICH MEANT THAT WE HAD TO EAT OUT FOR ALMOST EVERY MEAL. WE HAD NO PRIOR WARNING, SO AS TO MAKE ANY CHANGES IN OUR TRIP. IT WAS SUPER INCONVENIENT AND MADE THE STAY MISERABLE. The beach was covered with sand fleas/flies, making it unbearable to go to the beach. We understand that these issues were not the fault of the homeowner, but neither we they our fault. We had no follow up apology from the home owner/management company, nor were we offered any kind of discount for the extreme inconvenience! Some of our family members ended up leaving early because of the water issue. And, we spent a lot of money to be miserable. Would also recommend a little TLC to the home. The doors and locks need to be replace/fixed so that they close properly. And would definitely add some comfortable seating on the main living area around the dining table. The landscaping also lacked a lot to be desired. It made the property look run down. You also need to allow your renters to be able to turn the air below 72, atleast to 70. Positives: The beds were comfortable. The house was a great size for a family and loved the private boardwalk to the beach. The guards were also very helpful when we needed a battery charge. The community was nice and great location.
