House was clean. Spacious and set up well. Beds were nice and comfy. The outside furniture could have been better. It was not very comfy. There were fruit flies that drive is crazy. And the beach is a massive oyster bed and you can NOT safely swim or enjoy the water. We had to leave and go to Hunting Island to get in the water. So that was VERY dissapointing. But all in all we liked the home. And utilized the beach with walking and a star gazing place. Which was lovely. There are some young pine trees growing in the back yard that really need to be cut down as they obstruct the view pretty significantly. You can see them in every sunrise picture I took.
Upon arrival we found a home that looked a little weathered. Being so close to the water this is acceptable. The home is surrounded by vegetation which lends to privacy and wildlife. We saw bunnies and a snake in the yard and deer crossing the road. The neighborhood was pretty quiet except for the barking dog next door. The Inside was immaculate. Beautiful decorated, clean, soft sheets and towels and everything you need. The view is incredible and included watching horseback riders. Itâs not really on the ocean, itâs on the St. Helena Sound. The beach covered with Ouster shells and they donât recommend swimming. A State Park pass is provided to go to a âswimming beachâ. There were a few maintenance issues that I needed to point out and was questioned why I took a couple of days to report them. I didnât appreciate that. Iâm on VACATION and taking life at my pace! The issues were addressed promptly and efficiently. All the issues were in place when we arrived. We hope to return in the Fall.
What a delightful visit! The early morning sunrises were phenomenal. We saw dolphins, sharks, horses on the beach, and beach walkers digging for clams in oyster beds. The location was perfect to Beaufort where we had our fill of seafood. We visited the local nursery. The only problem we experienced was with the sand gnats.
We loved it here! It's not touristy and the neighbors are very nice and there's so much wildlife. We were able to watch the kids play from the porch :) such a great, meaningful vacation
We hope to visit again :)
The house was clean and comfortable; the beach was pretty and very private-we enjoyed our relaxing days there very much! Communication and help from the managing company was great! We had an issue that was handled well-even on July 4th! The exterior of the house could use a little love. I realize it is difficult with sea air and sand but more attention there could make this beautiful place even better! I concur with those stating that an upgrade on a few things in the kitchen would make cooking in a little easier-do not get me wrong...we didn't lack much but an upgrade would add comfort to it.
The location is peaceful. The sunrise was beautiful. We were able to see dolphins. The beach use is limited to high tide only due to the fluff mud at low tide. The only change I would suggest is an upgrade to the grill.
We loved this house and this location. It was private enough and yet close enough to amenities. The house is beautiful, the beach was great and we loved watching the wild life!
We enjoyed our stay. House is beautiful and the views are wonderful. My husband and son loved being able to fish every day. The beach was nice and it was very quiet.
Excellent location and view of ocean. Furnishings and linens all very new.
Communication with property manager was good - they very generously provided a new cup cake pan when requested. The kitchen might have contained a broader collection of items for those who wish to cook in (ie. sponge and paper towels).
We enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. The view is enchanting. We had spectacular sunrises to enjoy every morning! We enjoyed walking on the beach in front of the property. In February, it was warm enough to enjoy with just a light jacket. We loved sharing the beach with the horses and their riders.
This was our first time time visiting the beautiful Sea Islands of South Carolina and we could not have picked a nicer place to stay. The house was bright and immaculate and felt quite private. We enjoyed watching the sunrises and the dolphins while sipping our morning tea on the deck. A perfect getaway . . .
This property was clean and everything the pictures show. It was so peaceful sitting on the porch looking out over the water. We came to town for a family gathering and enjoyed the area.
