Great host…minor things: recurring alarm (matt told us how to shut it down so we kept doing that) gently missing those bedroom shades, but sunrises were spectacular!We’d love to come back esp in warmer weather.Thanks!

We returned for our second visit and were again, not disappointed. Beautiful house with lots of amenities and special treats for guests upon arrival like coffee, cream, and a basket of snacks. Matt and Kathy are gracious hosts.

Easy to find and access the property. Spacious kitchen facilities with everything we needed. Lots of comfortable seating, clean, and helpful hosts.

There was scenic views. Town was within walking distance. The only thing I would add was that there needed to be curtains in the bedrooms. While the morning sunrise was excellent, it would be nice to sleep in.

We wanted something special with a bay view while visiting a friend in North Beach. This house is something else; SO unique. We felt like we were waking up in a movie every morning with the SPECTACULAR sunrises. The house was comfortable, CLEAN, gorgeous, fun, and packed with features. The elevator was a huge help for our luggage and older guests. Mark was VERY communicative in the app and was happy to help with our questions. We seriously cannot wait to come back here some day. Would give 6 stars if I could.

Matt and Kathy have made this stay for us absolutely incredible! From their hospitality, to their flexibility and pin stay accommodations it made the property even more special! Pictures do not give this beautiful home justice. Simply an oasis!

An excellent vacation rental

The layout of the house is amazing as are the views from all levels. The hosts were very available and communicative. The little things they provided like snacks, half and half, coffee, and water bottles were much appreciated. We would love to return again.

Perfect Bay House Rental!

This property is amazing. The house is very nice and well designed. Beautiful views of the bay from many large windows and decks. Luxurious bedrooms and bathrooms throughout. Perfect amount of space for our 3 adult couples. The hosts were also very nice and accommodating, with multiple thoughtful personal touches during our stay. All around a perfect experience!

The house is very modern with absolutely gorgeous views on the water. The property is in great condition. The furniture suits the style of the home but isn’t very comfortable for lounging and relaxing and there isn’t a lot of living room seating. Two major items that we were disappointed with:1. There are interior cameras in the home. No idea if they are operational or not but they were never disclosed. 2. After we checked in we were made aware that the owner’s son lives on the property over the garage. We never saw or heard him and the garage is not physically connected to the property but this is something that we felt should have been disclosed earlier. It didn’t give us a good feeling about someone being on the property while we were as well. Smaller items that we didn’t love were that the water has a strong sulfur smell (ladies didn’t want to wash their hair with it for fear of the smell sticking with them) and the house had a lot of ants. We did not notify the owner of this so I’ll admit that we never game them the opportunity to address those two items. Overall it was a nice stay but not a place we would rent again.

Hi Danny, We're so sorry to hear your disappointments. Let me try to address them. The 2 cameras are not operational and I will cover them. The sulfur smell is common in the area on occasion unfortunately. It is well water. The ants you mentioned are definitely something we were not aware of and have taken care of it already. As advertised. Very clean home. Very peaceful. As you relax on the dock, you will want to record the water slamming against the rocks, for your sleep sounds. The hosts are very responsive and accommodating. 5 Stars.

The Perfect Weekend

Some friends and I wanted to have a weekend away. We all live in the DC area so this was a perfect distance for just a weekend. The house was beautiful, clean and as advertised. The kitchen was well stocked and organized. Matt was friendly and available throughout The Weeknd for any questions we had. The welcome snacks were an added treat. We definetly will be back.

Pristine Bay View

Sunrise is a wonderful house. It is very modern and well appointed with upscale decor. The entire house is updated. The house is immaculate sitting right on the shore of the Chesapeake Bay with wide open views of the water. There are balconies and a nice dock to hang out on. Sunrise is under an hour from DC and parts of Northern Virginia. You can walk right along the bay for miles. Matt is a great host and wants to make sure you have an enjoyable time. I highly recommend this house.

Best of the best.

This stay is truly one of the best rentals we've ever had. The house is beautiful and incredibly well thought out — every detail is designed for comfort and relaxation. It somehow manages to feel both elegant and totally welcoming. We spent hours on the dock and in the deck chairs, swimming in the Bay, watching the ospreys, and even spotted several dolphins. We also played some competitive badminton matches on the lawn — who knew that would become a trip highlight? Being able to walk into town for dinner was a bonus, too.This stay exceeded all of our expectations. It’s peaceful, beautifully appointed, and clearly loved and cared for. Huge thanks to the hosts for sharing it — we’re so grateful and would come back in a heartbeat. Absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable, and memorable stay on the Chesapeake.

Beautiful, well-kept, modern, spacious, with amazing views. A lot of thought was put into the design of the home and to make it vacation friendly. Three large rooms with en suite bathroom and a view of the bay. A fourth room, designed as an office, can also double as a room for one with a full bath as well. And if four weren't enough, there is a half bath on the main area. Two great sitting areas each with a large TV for family time and a great view as well. Personally, not a fan of galley kitchens in general, but this worked well. Incredibly well stocked AND labeled. So no need to open every drawer trying to find the spoons. So many nice touches like interior screens on the door, so you can open the door for a nice breeze but no bugs! And ceiling fans in every space. So on a nice day, you can get the bay breeze throughout the house.A personalized welcome card and snacks were a great touch. It included the sunrise time which we woke up for. So worth it. And friendly neighbors too. A couple crab traps on the pier which was well maintained. I felt like a friend being invited to stay at their house. It was that kind of experience. Great communication throughout the visit. We look forward to being back there again soon.
