Korianna House is the dream property of a well-travelled company director who fell in love with Kefalonia and spent 10 years seeking the perfect location to build. After staying in some of the world's finest hotels she was able to translate her vision of a modern, stylish escape into one of Kefalonia's most beautiful villas.
The property enjoys the benefits of both a tranquil, rural location with spectacular unspoiled views with local amenities within walking distance. The sunsets it enjoys are simply amazing.

The property has been furnished with no expense spared, with furnishings from Feather & Black, Indian Ocean, The White Company and John Lewis among others. A unique feature wall with spotlights adds a special romantic touch, as do the many candles at the villa. The kitchen is well-equipped with incredible attention to detail, including a black granite worktop and top-of-the-range Neff appliances.
Perfect for a romantic retreat or a honeymoon but also well suited to families.

Recent additions to the villa in 2015 include an Apple TV for the latest film rentals, wifi Bose speakers for use with smart devices, a tablet to enable streaming of live UK TV, satellite TV including sport and Molton Brown toiletries for guests.

There are several charming local tavernas within walking distance of the villa.
The property enjoys an extremely private pool, plenty of outdoor relaxation areas including a hammock and lemon trees that guests are welcome to help themselves to.

There are several beaches (Spartia, Avithos) within a 10-minute drive or a 20-minute walk (down a very steep hill!).

Getting to Kefalonia: Airlines flying direct from the UK to Kefalonia in season include British Airways, Easyjet, Ryanair, Norwegian, Thomas Cook, Thomson, TorAir, British Midland and Monarch from regional airports including Gatwick, Luton, Stansted, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff and Manchester.

At the airport rental companies include Hertz (they have a desk in the terminal) and CBR. Owner can also arrange special rates with a local company on request.

A perfect peaceful holiday property.

Korianna House is a beautiful and extremely comfortable property with a fabulous view. A quiet, peaceful setting only fifteen minutes from the airport and bustling capital Argostoli. A perfect base from which to enjoy the beautiful island of Kefalonia.

Lovely villa with all the amenities you'd be looking for - well equipped kitchen, great outdoor space with comfortable sunbeds and umbrellas, plenty of space and modern TV. The villa was cleaned a couple of times during our stay but a lovely lady.The location is great - very close to the airport but not noisy at all. On arrival we had a welcome package with lots of nice goodies.The host was lovely and sent clear access instructions along with an information pack so we had lots of information before we arrived.Would love to come and stay again - highly recommended!

Beautiful villa in a charming corner of Kefalonia

Thoroughly recommend this very well equipped villa with all of the amenities you could want (and some you had not thought of). Lovely pool and sea views, comfy bed, stylish living area and very well equipped kitchen. The Spartia area hosts or is close to a large number of excellent tavernas and Avithos beach nearby is the perfect balance between too busy and too spartan. Argostoli, the island's capital is only 15 minutes drive and the airport is close by too (although no aircraft noise) so getting there is really easy. Been 2 years in a row and rebooked for 2020 already. When we consider other Greek destinations we ask ourselves "are we going to wish we were back in Korianna House" and the answer is always yes.

Lovely, lovely place to stay

Excellent booking and checking in experience, the property manager was present when we arrived and showed us everything. Very well equipped villa. Extremely comfortable and everything worked as it should. The welcome pack was very generous and the inclusion of Netflix and appletv a good idea as there were a couple of storms during my stay. The house is close to lots of great places to go and being elevated gives a feeling of being more remote than you are. Loads of information about good restaurants etc too. Thanks Margot and Emma for a lovely holiday.

We spent a week but wished it had been a month.... a luxury home from home

My wife and two kids (9 & 7) simply loved this place. It's a great location on top of the hill, so it makes the most of the breeze if there is one (we were there in Aug 32-35 degrees). The house itself is the most well equipped we've come across, air-con in every room (other than bathrooms), Apple Tv, DVD, Bose speaker. Open plan downstairs and super comfortable. The bedrooms are a decent size with good wardrobe/draws space. The local village is a few minutes walk away and there is a load of beaches all within 10 - 15 min drive. I'd suggest you hire a small car as the roads are very narrow when you get close to the coast. Looking through the guest book, there is a load of families that have revisited the house over the years and I can completely see why. It really is a home from home. The house is managed by Isobel, who is so nice, extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. Book this place and enjoy!

Beautiful, very comfortable, clean with great location to explore the island

We had a fabulous week at Korianna House. It is tastefully furnished and equipped to a very high standard with many thoughtful touches such as a well thought out welcome basket, Molton Brown toiletries, Bose Bluetooth speaker and a Netflix subscription. It was spotlessly clean on arrival. The outdoor furniture was of high quality with no plastic in sight! The location was perfect for exploring the island although the house was so nice we were also perfectly happy to spend time chilling out at home.

Luxurious villa

A wonderful villa, with amazing views across to the sea. So peaceful, and relaxing, but with villages, tavernas and beaches only a short drive away. The outdoor seating and pool are fantastic to spend lazy days in the sun, and the villa really is a home from home, with lots of luxury "finishing touches" I would definitely recommend

A lovely Spring break

We had a lovely break at Korianna House at the beginning of April. The house is gorgeous with every thing you need to make your stay very comfortable, and is spotlessley clean. It has beautiful views over the lush green fields all the way out to the sea, a beautiful outside terrace area and is very private and peaceful. We spent some lovely days reading by the pool, listening to the sound of the birds and distant goat bells. We also hired a car and it was easy to drive to some of the beautiful beaches that are dotted around the island. April in Kefalonia is slightly out of season so some of the restaurants and bars are closed. However it was a lovely peaceful time to visit the island, the beaches were empty and it was nice to see them in all their natural beauty. The roads were very quiet as few tourists were there in April. It was lovely to see all of the beautiful Spring flowers and the many colours of them dotted all over the island, very pretty! There is a good welcome pack at the Villa with details of nearby beaches, restaurants and supermarkets etc. I would not hesitate to stay at Korianna House again and we are really glad that we had the opportunity to book it.

Simply stunning!

What a lovely villa Margot has created at Korianna House! The overall design of the house makes a wonderful holiday home and Margot has furnished it in great style with incredible attention to detail. On top of this the views of the coastline and evening sunsets are just fantastic. Combined with good beaches and excellent restaurants (particularly the local taverna) this made the perfect holiday. We have already booked our next visit!

Perfect!

Having been to Kefalonia a couple of times before, we knew what the island had to offer but Korianna House made it even more special. The views are amazing and the villa itself has everything you need (and more) for a luxurious and relaxing stay. Great location as a hub for exploring the island in your hire car and Margot provides you with all the info you need to make sure you don't miss out on anything. I would highly recommend having Viva, the private chef cook for you at the villa and Spaggia restaurant is definitely worth the trip. We'll definitely be back!

Stunning villa with views to match!

We would strongly recommend Korianna house to anyone planning a trip to Kefalonia - it was the perfect place for us in every way, great location - just 15 mins from the airport and in easy reach of lots of lovely beaches, shops, and Argostoli - and the house itself is beautifully done, making our stay incredibly relaxed and enjoyable. We had our toddler with us and it was great for him too. The outside area is fantastic, loads of seating and the pool is wonderful. The villa itself is incredibly well equipped, every last attention to detail has been thought of. There's plenty to do in the surrounding areas, although we chose to take it pretty easy most of the time. Avithos beach is lovely with a great little taverna right by the beach, and we also enjoyed Lassi which is very touristy but was ideal for us with our little one in tow, as it's very sandy with lots of beach bars and restaurants. We can't wait to go back!

I had an absolutely excellent stay at Korianna House. The villa is pristine and every detail has been thought about from the comfy beds, wall prints, sun loungers and the massive hammock (always a fight to get the hamock!) with stunning views down to the sea. This isn't far off 5 star luxury. It was also really handy for beaches, quick walk to local restaurants and the airport (10 mins drive). Can't wait to go back.

Idyllic Greek Island gem

Korianna House, last 2 weeks of September

This beautiful villa, situated on a hillside with stunning views, has been built and equipped with such loving care, taste and practicality and provides a superb centre for exploring this most beautiful of islands.If exploration is not your thing, Korianna House provides every facility one could hope for. The lovely pool has shady areas and the air-conditioned rooms provide relief from the sometimes intense Greek sunshine. Sky TV and every piece of equipment that might be required provide home comforts. Nothing has been overlooked. It is a 10 minute walk to the local pretty village of Spartia which has two small general shops and an excellent taverna/restaurant. The capital of the island is only a 20 minute drive away and this interesting town has all the conveniences one would expect, including seeing the giant turtles in the fishermen's part of the harbour.For lunch, we can recommend the restaurant at the castle, family owned, and which is a 10 minute drive away.

Perfect villa for chilling out in Kefalonia . . .

I have returned from a wonderful break at Korianna House - a beautifully decorated villa with everything you could possibly need for a luxurious break. Breathtaking views combined with all mod cons made me feel at home from the minute I arrived. We have experienced a lot of holiday homes in Greece and this was by far the best accommodation we have ever stayed in.

Review of Korianna House- Kefalonia

A truly beautiful House. Every thought has been given to create a beatiful peaceful familiy home. Set in a beautiful location wiuth breath taking views. The pool is area is safe , clean, lovely, and brings a welcome breeze when needed! The BQQ and stores provides anything you can ever need on a holiday. All the rooms tastefully and well furnished. The patio area is exteremly well furnished, and we spent every evening in total luxury, enjoying the ambience of the surrounding candles/outside lights and pleasantly surprised that there were no unfriendly bugs during the whole of the evening.! You will struggle to find a nicer holiday home of this size anywhere. The design and decor of this home is a real credit to the owner - total luxury!! We could have stayed forever!! Car hire is recommended, however the village of spartia with nice restaurants is in very easy walking distance. Equally with car hire you can get to a wide variety of beautiful villages with many nice restauranunts.

A Little Piece of Heaven in Korianna Village

Just returned from 1 week in Korianna House and the only thing we could have wished for is that we had booked 2 weeks instead! If you want a true Greek Village experience, churches, tiny greek houses, the locals sat around talking and watching life go by, then Korianna Village is perfect. We have stayed in lots of villas but this is by far, the best. Margot has gone to so much trouble to make the villa homely and with everything you need. The pictures and description in the advert were 100% accurate. The welcome pack was very thoughtful too with everything you could possibly need for your first night, without having to run to find the nearest shop/supermarket. Great local beaches and tavernas. Argostoli is only 20 minutes by car for the true Greek Island Capital experience! Kefalonia is a beautiful island, it is worth hiring a car and making the trips to Fiskardo, Lixouri, Assos and Argostoli. We hired a small motor boat for the day and found many beautiful beaches. Margot provided excellent customer service, replying very promptly to all e-mails. We made the payment and she immediately sent an e-receipt together with the directions to the villa etc which were extremely good. One thing we would recommend would be to take your sat nav (if you have european mapping) - we did and it came in very useful! We have no hesitation in recommending Korianna House and Margot. Hoping to return next year and the year after too! THANK YOU MARGOT.

Fantastic Boutique Style Villa

Everything you have always wanted in other villas you have stayed in is here....in bucket loads!! So much detail has gone into the design and set up, it is fantastic. The furnishings are of superior quality. Every little thing has been thought of...even down to a garlic peeler!!! So stylish yet does not deflect from the beautiful surroundings. Easy to find from the airport and set in an elevated spot within a small village. The description does not actually do it enough justice. Immaculate and well maintained. A great welcome pack is provided to set you up for at least your first day/night and a house book to let you know about all the wonderful areas to visit as well as the amenities at the property. The restaurant in Spartia was very good and within walking distance (at night may be adviseable to take a torch.....supplied by house of course!!) The cafe and restaurant at the Castle which is just a short drive away are also equally very good (in the evening you may need to take a cardi as it can be a little cooler at the castle) St Thomas's beach is very pretty and again is a short trip in the car. Avithos beach and restaurants are also favourites. Gentilini Winery is worth a trip out to (not that far, on the way to Argostolli) and their wines are wonderful especially when you drink them watching the sun set at the villa!! After watching the sunset we had a lovely Barbeque using the built in BBQ at the house and sat admiring the stars. Once you have stayed at Korianna House all other villas will have to live up to this standard, which is going to be hard....but then you won't want to stay anywhere else. I am definitely booking up for next year!!!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

I had been intending to buy in Kefalonia for many years but never quite found the right place until the day I stumbled on the half-built property which is now Korianna House. As soon as I stood in the area that would become the pool and took one glance at that view down to the sea, I was sold. The peace and tranquility, the view, the sunsets...there is no-where else quite like it.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

A village location and yet privacy and tranquility, walking distance to the sea and local tavernas and yet not a tourist resort. Live like a local and you'll never want to leave.
