This is a nice house in a nice setting. The hot tub is a bonus. We had someIssues/ miscommunication that we worked through. We had an enjoyable stay and it was nice to be out of town and be able to have our dog with us.
We really enjoyed this property, the listing was as described, everything was clean, and the host was responsive and available for any questions or concerns. Would definitely stay here again!
Nice house, plenty of space, beautiful neighborhood with great bird song if that's your thing. Hot tub was definitely a huge draw and we loved it. Only detracting one star because something went wrong with the fridge. It stopped putting out cold air after we arrived. No idea why as no one did anything that could have damaged it, especially not the compressor. Luckily we didn't need it much so it all worked out.
The property was as advertised. We had no desire to be downtown so the quiet, remote location was perfect despite some ambient road noise in the mornings and late afternoons. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was sufficiently stocked for home-cooked meals. Hot tub was nice in the evenings. A BBQ on site would have been nice but we brought our own from Portland; this option would likely not be available to those traveling from further locales. The refrigerator was broken but this had apparently happened just before our arrival; the host provided a new, albeit smaller, replacement for our stay and we made due with it. Things happen, and the effort on the host's part was definitely appreciated. Fenced front yard was a big plus for our dog and 6 year old grandchild. Went for a great hike on the other side of the northern peninsula where the house is located. Quite beautiful and wild up there! Great stay overall.
Host was very responsive to all communications. Little things like loose outlets, breakers popping, lack of end tables make it a 4 vs 5 but the house gave us what we needed in a perfect location.
Charming older home in a great location to visit Olympia. It is, as described, an older home with its associated quirks. The fenced front yard is a nice feature. Pay attention to the owners driving directions as the entry driveway is easy to pass by.
We loved our stay here! Traveling with young kids can be tricky. This home is clean and comfortable, yet kid friendly! Beds were comfy, the house had a good smell. We loved the backyard, my boys played out there for hours.

We used this for family overflow for a family reunion. It was convenient to downtown. It was a hot weekend and the downstairs stayed cool - upstairs was hard to cool down - use some fans for upstairs on super hot days.
The location is fabulous near all the attractions.
There were a couple of minor nuisances like the refrigerator was broken and the mattress in the downstairs bedroom was hard as a rock, but otherwise it was great. My kids loved the toys in the kids bedroom my oldest would ask to go play upstairs with them and the playpen was great for the youngest to sleep in.
We rented this to stay near some relatives. Overall, nice place. Easy to get to. Only challenge was 1 bathroom for the 9 of us. Would recommend it, though.
Cozy private location; perfect for dogs. Lovely owner.
Location, location, location and charm! Despite some much needed amenities, in a few short days, this place felt like home. Favorite things: location, big, private front yard, hot tub, Jennifer Ash, and space. However, if you are expecting a place that has thick towels, comfy beds with the 500+ count sheets, couches that you can sink into, state of the art techno and kitchen, this place is not for you. It is family home and we enjoyed spending time with family there! I would highly recommend it,.
Comfortable home with room for all. Downstairs bed is comfy although we were nervous as it looks like no mattress yet had a very restful sleep. Kitchen is large and enough room for couple cooks, great fridge and instant hot water a plus. Not lots of plates or coffee cups yet has set of silverware and nice knives. Bring your own napkins, garbage bags, dish towels, kitchen hand soap and spices/oil. Has nice dinning room that seats 6. Comfy couch and chair that compliment the fireplace making everyone cozy. Lots of character and charm!
This house is very convenient to Olympia, on a quiet road and very private. There was plenty of space for my family of 5 and very convenient to be able to have pets. The owner was very quick to respond to any questions and accommodating to changes in plans. The house does need some updating. It is an older home and does have its quirks but beyond that needs a little TLC to make it more comfortable. Some furnishing updates would be appropriate and some attention to the bathroom.
Our original stay had to be extended on short notice and we were able to do that easily and at a reasonable price. Thanks! Great yard for pets but do know there are gaps and incomplete fencing, so if you have a determined or smaller pet just know that. Furniture is not the most comfortable so if you have any specific needs in that regard know that will be a challenge.
The hot tub was clean and wonderful to use, easy to follow instructions for upkeep and care.
Though right next to the road, the house is set back enough to be quiet and private. Surrounding area is a bit of a maze at first but is absolutely lovely.
Would recommend to friends and would definitely stay again!
This property feels like home. Our house was built in the 1940 s so brand new and fancy we are not. Cozy, welcoming, clean, and well stocked we are. Come and rest, do some family games, puzzles, read a book in our library (many different genres available), sit in our reflective fairie garden, teeter-totter, or soak in our hot tub. Our house is well stocked with games for the young and old, puzzles and many books. We have DVDs for the whole family as well. We made sure this house has all the things we enjoy when we travel and stay in a VRBO. If you are looking for a modern, sleek hotel experience you may want to search elsewhere. If you are looking for a home away from your own- we will be so happy to welcome you!
