La vue de l'un de ses trois ponts est une image vivante que vous voulez graver dans votre mémoire. Eagles, mouettes et corbeaux croisière souvent passé le navire sur les ascendances. Assurez-vous d'apporter votre appareil photo que vous aurez quelques photos merveilleuses.
Le "Double Eagle" a été construit comme un bateau Gulf Coast Visite / Cruise, mais a été converti en Côte Shrimper Golfe. Le 24 Mars 1989, le pétrolier Exxon Valdez fondée sur Bligh Reef dans la partie supérieure du Prince William Sound. Le pétrolier transportait environ 53 millions de gallons de pétrole brut. Dans quelques jours, il avait renversé près de 11 millions de gallons de l'huile dans le Prince William Sound. Ce fut alors que le «Double Eagle» a été porté à l'Alaska pour travailler et servir d'équipier des quarts pendant le nettoyage.

Awesome property

Our family had a fabulous stay in this unique property. The location was great - it felt secluded but with easy access to Homer and The Spit. The views were incredible and the boat had all we needed for a comfortable stay. We are all short (under 5'9") and had no issues, but we did note the ceiling heights might be less comfortable for a tall family. We would definitely stay again.

Fantastic Homer Getaway

We celebrated my husband's birthday with this wonderful stay on the Double Eagle. The view over the bay was amazing. Every detail attended to. Lovely beds. Perfect location. Cute and clean as can be. Hosts had great communication. Looking forward to going back.

We had a wonderful time. Karen was incredibly accommodating and helpful. We felt like we were being looked after. The place was spectacular on the rainy/cloudy days, and breathtaking on the clear days. We will definitely be staying at the Double Eagle again!

Ahoy there

The best part of staying in the shrimp boat was the nautical surroundings and unobstructed views of the ocean. The boat is comfortable with three decks where our party could spread out in their own space. The hosts were helpful in recommending fishing spots and provided written recommendations for dining and exploring the area. Nice to have the insight of the hosts rather than relying on the internet.

The views from the boat were priceless. We didn’t go out for dinner at all instead brought food back to enjoy the views each night. We already booked for next year!

Mom Adventure with 3 adult children

This stay was more than amazing and I cant wait to return. I brought my 3 adult children to Alaska for the trip of a lifetime and it absolutely was. The view from our unique lodging was perfect. I always look for fun and unique places to stay and this was perfect. The location was private yet close to everything. My only regret was not being able to stay longer.

This property was very nice. Very clean, plenty of amenities, lots of room, beautiful view. The owners were quite easy to contact and had plenty of useful suggestions for restaurants, game and birdwatching. We would stay there again. Have recommended it to many of our friends and family. My granddaughter and I spent 4 nights at the Double Eagle and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The ocean views from each room were stunning both morning and night. The owners provided everything you could ever want in a rental and were very helpful with the check in and directions. This unique boat lodging helped make our visit to Homer very memorable. What a hidden gem!

Unique Option with Great View!

Surprised my son and his friend (recent high school graduates) with this boat. Perfectly perched on the bluff overlooking the bay & spit. This was a great way to kick off our week in Alaska. & yes the eagles soared as we ate on the deck - awesome!

Unique property

We picked this property for our stay in Homer because it was unique and thought it would be a fun experience. Boy did it deliver! It was exactly as pictured, except the view, that can not be properly captured. We had a minor problem and it was handled so quickly it was like it never happened. The communication with the owner was above and beyond, not just with the issue, but in giving hints on places to visit and must try restaurants. If you are looking for an amazing place to stay in Homer, you have found it! Thanks for the memories.

Awesome Homer family stay

We stayed at the property with my parents and two children. There was plenty of room, the kids were thrilled to be staying on a boat and the view cannot get any better. We live in AK but love to travel around to see our beautiful state - we have stayed in Homer a few times. This property was unique, clean, had everything we needed, Karen was wonderful to work with and the view was spectacular! We had eagles flying by daily and saw whales from the deck. I cannot say enough good things about staying here. Fantastic stay - great for a family or for couples just wanting to get away. This trip is a family memory for a lifetime. Thank you, Double Eagle, for hosting us so comfortably and beautifully.

Unique Experience

I travel to many places and this place and location is now one of my favorites. This place (boat) is my idea of a perfect vacation home and destination. Every detail is thought of, not only its location with gorgeous views, but also all the extras. This 70’ shrimp boat is spacious, has a fireplace to warm things up, or spacious decks to enjoy the sun and watch the fishing boats go by.

Amazing

We had a delightful stay on "the ship." We were looking for something different that provided space for my dad, me and a teen. It was perfect!!! We had a great vacation, caught a lot of fish, and the great accommodations were a huge part of it! Got great directions, provided contact if we need anything, and couldn't have asked for anything more.

Unbeatable views!

Fantastic rental! Really can’t beat sitting on your own balcony and watching for whales in the evening. If the sun actually set I’m sure it would be perfect for that too! Was super impressed with the cleanliness and setup, would definitely recommend to anyone coming to the Homer area!
