We have updated the patio furniture that was showing salt air wear with some very comfortable Nice Bar Height Chairs for viewing the ocean ! New Paint , New flooring and a guest bathroom update have all been completed recently . We hope to offer a nice comfortable clean place for our guest to enjoy !

The stay was very nice. Overall cleanliness needed work, there was barely any toilet paper or paper towels:, no dish cloth just a dish towel, not even any kind of soap in bathrooms too wash your hands.

The condo was very nice and,very close to pool and beach.The girls loved it.We liked the fact that we didn’t have to go far to find places to eat,Some that were in walking distance.We love Carolina Beach,this was our 3rd trip and I’m sure we will be back. My granddaughter got sick,so we left Sunday evening,instead of leaving Mon.morning.And oh yes my Pekinese loved it also!!

I needed a rental since work was being done in my home. The location of this rental was perfect. Erica was very accomodating and easy to communicate with. The condo was very clean and has a beautiful view of the ocean. Highly recommended

Avoid this property. It is listed as a non-smoking property but reeked of cigarette smoke and fabreeze when we arrived. We aired out the condo for a couple of hours while we ate dinner but the smell still lingered when we got back.It was clear whomever stayed prior to us was a heavy smoker as there was an ashtray that had not even been cleaned sitting right outside the door. We informed the owner and left the property as are sensitive to smoke and one of my family members has a lung condition. The owner advised to leave the key in the lockbox and that she was working on refunding our money.We are 5 weeks out and still no refund even though we have kept communication open with both the owner and the website. I have received multiple promises of money from the owner but no follow through. I was able to salvage our trip by finding a more expensive unit to rent so we are out quite a bit of money.I have been using this conpany for a decade and this is a first for me. Even if you can handle the smoke it is apparently the unit hasn't been thoroughly cleaned in quite some time judging by the baseboards and the air intake and vents.

This unit is non smoking - We can only figure the tenants smelled smoke from nearby units or people walking alongside the rear unit doors . The returns get rusty due to salt air . They are cleaned and maintenanced and have been repainted while waiting a new cover on order .

Great Location but communication and cleaning need more

The property is in a great place. If you have a larger vehicle the parking is tight, but it is in the dry and manageable. Walking barefoot when we got there makes me think the cleaning was minimal when it came to the floors or anything dropped behind /in the furniture. It was noticeable since the furniture also converts to beds. Biggest issue was no having the code to get inside the rental. It was never sent before I left. On the way down I tried to contact the owner and left a message. When I got down there I did the same. At roughly 6:30 pm I was contacted by the owner and told they had just gotten into cell service. I was told that the email from VRBO was supposed to have the code. I checked and it didn't. She gave me the code and the problem was solved. I will say that the owner was nice and polite throughout.

We have a cleaning company that has 5 stars and cleans many condos daily . I have not had any issues with them from others . This is unacceptable to us and the cleaning company has been notified . We had emergency in Western NC reason for delay in returning calls for entry . Apparently the email we sent with instructions for entry never made it to this renter . We are now sending this info 2 weeks prior to arrival and checking email to make sure it was delivered to our renters .

It may be better now

Overall the host was a good host and “tried” to accommodate and fix the issues I had even though during our stay the changes couldn’t be made last minute. The place was overwhelming with pet odor but “looked” clean. You could tell pets were there. The furniture was dirty and outdated and both sofa and love seat were the extra beds being that they were pullout beds. The pullout beds were filthy. The children had to sleep in the beds with the adults best they could. There were only 2 rooms. The 2nd bedroom we couldn’t utilize the TV because there was no remote. The living room TV was an older model and only had 8 channels. We had to bring everything from blankets to sheets and toiletries or else rent them from the host. I suggested some things that maybe the cleaners could use to eliminate pet odor. She said she kind of depend on the cleaners to do their job and get the place ready for the next guest. She was not able to come out and check on the place and was looking after her father that was in the hospital which is understandable. Because of the issues during our stay the host told me that she would compensate (to what we agreed on) and I have not heard anything back. I did reach out one last time once the trip was over and was told she’d get back with me even though I understood she had some things going on I felt I did my part to reach out and didn’t want to seem as if I was harassing anyone. But I literally paid for a stay that wasn’t accommodating to what I paid for.

While check in was effortless, communication with the host was excellent and we actually got to check in the room 2 hours before arrival time, the condo itself was not the cleanest. I did not contact the host due to us already bringing all of our luggage in, we just cleaned it ourselves. All the furniture is very outdated. All the living room furniture appeared to look dirty so we purchased sheets to put over them. The loveseat was not comfortable at all. The furniture in the master bedroom was okay compared to the second bedroom. The second bedroom headboard was the old plastic wicker that was coming apart. Also, one of the outlets in this room was loose in the wall and did not have a cover over it, so I would not recommend small children to stay in this room.

We have contacted our cleaning crew with this review regarding cleanliness . We work with the top rated cleaning company on the island. The denim sofa has slip covers that are washed monthly and or as needed. They are goosed down comfortable denim. Im surprised to hear this was dirty and outdated. The love seat and second bedroom head board will be replaced per this review. We will also get electrician out to check outlet and repair .
