Great communication with host. Cabin was clean and so sweet like a retro log cabin with vintage coffee cups, salt and pepper shakers etc.Great deck and beautiful location on such a clean lake. Lake Washburn is delightful and this is a nice place to enjoy it!

Very sweet cabin to stay at… clean and well stocked. Many games and equipment to use as well. Colleen was so pleasant to deal with! We were able to fit 7 adults comfortably.

Great cabin feel with all modern amenities. Secluded location was ideal for a relaxing long weekend. Communication and response from host was excellent. Enjoyed boating/floating out on Lake Washburn and golfing at Emily Greens.

We had an enjoyable stay at the cozy cabin. It was exactly as described and in the photos. It was wonderfully old fashioned like our old family cabin, though a tad more rustic. There was plenty of room for the nine of us. It was so nice to have the two living spaces; kids and toys in the basement. It was a hot week and the AC unit did cool the cabin. We were also in the lake a lot. We swam, floated & the kids caught sunnies from the dock. On that note, we do have to caution that if anyone is unsteady on their feet the trip down to the dock is hard to manage. I needed to use walking sticks to get up and down the uneven & tilted timber steps without a hand rail. The cabin was well equipped with everything needed. Everyone was happy with the cozy cabin. It felt very peaceful and private. Colleen was responsive to our questions and seemed very happy to share her cabin.

Was absolutely awesome, and Colleen was the best !! She made sure we were comfortable and happy and not in need of anything. The cabin was furnished more or less vintage and added the charm of cabin life on the lake. We all loved it, three couples stayed and we played a couple of the games one night and had a good fire and had dinner and chatted the evening away right there at the smokeless fire pit. There was a very accessible off road trail about one mile from the cabin that we could ride to and we did a 10 mile ride one day and 30 mile ride on the following day. The fall colors were great, the weather was great, and we saw a fox, deer, turkeys, lots and lots of squirrels, swans and other water fowl.

Quiet, Private Rustic Getaway

This property is reminiscent of the 1960s cabin at the lake! But with indoor plumbing :) It is private and quiet. The cabin is cozy, the fireplace is a plus, and the logs provided were perfect. The kitchen is quaint and charming, and was well stocked with cookware and dinnerware, and offered both a coffeemaker with filters and coffee, and a keurig with two choices of coffee pods. The bathroom was stocked with shampoo, rinse, and soap, as well as paper products. The bedrooms were comfortable, as were the beds. We did some four wheeling on the many ATV trails, golfed at Emily Greens, enjoyed pizza at the Pickled Loon. There are lots of books at your disposal and we spent some time relaxing by the fire, immersed in a book. Colleen is a generous host, and responsive to our questions. We hope to return sometime!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our one week stay at this charming log cabin. We chose this location on Washburn Lake due to the mention of the clear lake water. Washburn Lake did not disappoint! We were able to swim and fish from the dock and enjoy the other parts of the lake for various water sports like tubing and knee boarding.The log cabin has quaint details that provide for the true up north cabin experience. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. The large deck had chairs, a swing, and a picnic table that our family used for several meals.The location of the cabin has a definite remote location feel, but also the reassurance that neighbors are close by.The owners were very responsive and wanted to ensure we had everything we needed and truly wanted us to have a great time. It is clear that the owners take great pride in the cabin and property. We would definitely rebook this location for another stay.

Wonderful Time-Wonderful Place

What an amazing stay! It’s everything you’d expect from the listing plus more!! So clean, so comfortable, we wanted for nothing. Colleen was on it from the word go! She shared a whole sheet with information pertinent to our stay which was so helpful. Not only did she provide particulars about the cabin but the local area too. Weather was cooler than normal for July, and she was so helpful to make sure we were comfortable, which we were. The cabin is so homey and comfortable. Lots of room for us as two couples. We caught fish on Washburn (a big Northern along with crappies and bluegill) and other local lakes which we brought back to the cabin to eat. The cabin was well-stocked and accommodating for eating in. Beds and furniture were comfortable. Didn't get to enjoy the deck like we thought due to it being cool in the mornings, but the view of the lake was awesome. They are working on the basement of the cabin, but we could use the new shower. Showerhead was very nice. We hope to come back.

This property was absolute perfection for our gamily of 7. Bedrooms were perfect and beds were all very comfortable. The wrap around deck was perfect at all times of the day to enjoy the view while having a morning cup of coffee or an evening g lass of wine. Water is clear and perfect for jumping and swimming off of the dock. Colleen provided fun water toys and thought of all the details to make our stay comfortable! The ease of checking in and checking out and excellent communication makes it an easy decision to come back!!Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!!

A great cabin to spend some quality time with family. The kids had a blast fishing from the dock. We appreciated the layout of the cabin allowing both families to have some space when needed.

We very much enjoyed the cabin! We had a great time fishing and exploring the area! There is a lot of wildlife to see. Colleen was a wonderful host! From booking to check-out , she was awesome!
