Very nice relaxing, lots of room and ample bathrooms! We spent some time in beautiful Cooperstown. We tried to go to the Ommegang Brewery but they were having a private event so ended up at a smaller brewery down the street Red Shed Brewery. It was awesome, good ciders and craft beers and fun band!
This was our 3rd time coming to Cooperstown and the location of the house, the layout and the view of the lake was amazing. Definitely the best house we have stayed in
Our baseball families enjoyed this property while in town for Cooperstown @ Dreams Park. The house was perfect with everything we needed - nice and relaxing and a great way to have meals together. Being right on the water offers a relaxing getaway from the field. Great spot!
We had a wonderful time staying here. It was a quick 15 minute drive to Dreamspark. Our older kids loved swimming and fishing in the lake. We had an issue with the lock and the owner was on-site within 10 minutes. The issue was quickly resolved. Will definitely stay here again next year for our last Dreamspark visit.
Camp Serenity was perfect for our weekend. Easy to get to, plenty of sleeping arrangements, well-stocked kitchen, and a marvelous view! Couldn't have asked for anything better!
Lovely, large home on the lake; perfect for baseball families
The house is about 9 miles to Cooperstown Dreams Park so commuting to the games was easy. The kitchen is modern and well equipped, the living room is comfortble and has a huge TV, the sunroom overlooking the lake was a favorite spot for the adults when not on the lakeside deck. The main floor bedroom with bath is ideal for those who want to avoid stairs..
We had an amazing time! This is a great house for family fun. Well decorated. Beds are super comfy. Lake is gorgeous! We had sâmores on the fire pit. Made a lot of memories!
We were only in the area for the weekend attending a wedding, so we were unable to take full advantage of the property. We enjoyed our stay in the house and would love to come back to the area and stay here again for an extended amount of time.
The house is situated on a beautiful lake in a quiet, cozy, neighborhood. The outside areas - - - deck and fire pit - - - were great for relaxing at the end of our day. The house is older, so itâs a bit creaky with some slanting in the floors, but thatâs to be expected. It was perfect for our needs. The 3 1/2 bathrooms were also a plus for 8 women. The beds were also comfortable. Thank you for an enjoyable stay for our golf trip.
We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend. We spent hours on the lake and our youngest caught his first fish. Lovely summer memories made. The house was clean and had everything you would need for the week.
Stayed at this property with another couple while our kids were off at CASV. It worked perfectly for the time gaps that they could come back with us and swim in the lake, fish and paddle board. Kitchen was perfect to cook in and saved us the hassle of finding some place to eat. Lots of spiders and creepy crawlers around the property, but they don't bother you. Great for walking and the neighborhood was very friendly. Also there is an amazing antique store 5-7min away from the house that was incredible and an Ice Cream shop. Great experience overall
We had a lovely 3 night stay at Camp Serenity. The house was immaculate, the kitchen generously stocked with supplies and equipment - better than many places we have rented before for our family reunions. It is nicely furnished and the sun room and decks are delightful places to observe the peaceful lake.
As we didn't have kids with us this time, we didn't check out the many games and puzzles available. There are 4 tv's throughout - two in bedrooms, two in public spaces. This let individual groups entertain themselves as they pleased. There are plentiful linens and bedding - however the pillows were uniformly on the thin side - bring your own if you need particular support, we always do!
Just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time staying at Camp Serenity. The house was even better than we imagined and it had everything we needed. The rooms were huge, the beds were comfortable, the towels were nice and fluffy :-) We loved hanging out in the porch with an awesome view of the lake. Even though the weather was a lot cooler than we had hoped, a few of the adults and the kids went in to the lake for a dip. It wasn't for me, but I had fun taking pictures of the brave ones in our party.
We had rented many houses in the past and Camp Serenity is one of the very few we'd love to go back to someday.
Thanks for letting us stay in your home!
a few observations from our extended family.
The house overall is a bunch of small spaces. dining for 6 is ok..more than that is a bit crammed. odd observation but may save you if you have any sort of balance condition. the floors are REALLY uneven. We all felt like we were on a cruise or something. Definitely skip this house if anyone in your group suffers from Vertigo or anything similar. now for the good news. Beautiful views from the dock. Sunset each night was wow! Bald eagles nesting right across the lake. Glad nice binoculars were at the house to watch the eagles. Great location to get around the surrounding area for whatever you are up to. Love the lake
Thank you for such a well-kept place! For 5 mature adults, we had plenty of space to spread out. Spent most of the time on the sun porch. Extra table is nice for jigsaw puzzles. Wi-fi was nice to try out. One I-pad connected, one didn't. Saw an eagle repeatedly. Plenty of linens (great towels!), pillows, dishes & kitchen gear. Being able to do laundry cuts down on the packing for a week. Location is easy access for touring around the area, especially for non-baseball fans! Check out Jerry's Place for food & game room. Even our 50-80 yr. olds had fun. Farmer's Museum is a great resource, as long as you are ready for walking. Hopefully the swamp trail will be fixed behind the Opera building. It looked like an inviting walk. Just looking around at the unique houses & buildings in the towns was nice. April is too early for us for kayaking (high water would be tough entering boats from ladder or deck for the less nimble), but the deck was wonderful for sitting out on, even with a blanket! We imagine in baseball season the cottage is a little busier with families & kids. Plenty of puzzles & games for rainy days. Being on the water is always relaxing. Bring your binoculars, you never know what you might see.
Our son was playing baseball at Cooperstown All-Star Village and we needed a place to stay with our family of 7 plus grandparents. This is a beautiful, relaxing property, large enough, everyone had a comfortable bed and we were only 20 minutes drive to CASV from driveway to Parking lot. The house is older, and has some creaky floors, but it has been updated with all the amenities needed. We were happy to find laundry detergent, dryer, sheets, coffee filters, spices for cooking, etc. This place is well stocked and ready to go! The host even provides water, shoes, lifejackets, and plenty of towels for the lake. We brought our two jet skis along and had fun on the lake when our son wasnât playing baseball.
Just a couple minor thingsâŠThe front door lock is very hard to work and the deadbolt doesnât engage well to lock up, we called the maintenance guy to come help us a couple times. He was very friendly and always available. Also, the upstairs TV didnât work for the kids to watch a movie. But these were very minor issues for us. I would definitely book here again!
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very comfortable and peaceful. We did a fire in the fire pit.We were there only 3 nights. Walmart wasn't far we shopped there for food and were surprised that the prices were a little lower than back home.
This spectacular, well appointed, and clean house is easily accommodated our multi-generational family while celebrating our daughters graduation from nearby university. It had plenty of sleeping arrangements as well as ADA bedroom and bath for the grandparents. Easy drive to all Oneonta and Cooperstown has to offer while being a peaceful respite along the lake with fire pits and picnic tables. Couldnât ask for more.
Camp Serenity is owned by Jennifer Boudreau and her husband Louis Herman. We purchased this property in 2012. We added a new addition and upgraded the entire property. In December 2017 the kitchen and a full bathroom were renovated.
Three lakeside bedrooms with queen-sized beds. Wood floors throughout our home. New addition to the house in 2012. Renovated kitchen and full bathroom in 2017. Large 1/3 acre level lot. Located at water level. Only about 8 steps to touch the water. Other homes on Goodyear lake are situated high above the lake. Large, two-tiered deck waterfront. Gorgeous sunset views. Parking for 6 cars.
