The house was welcoming and inviting! The host was nice enough to let us check in 2 hours early because we had gotten there early for my grandson to play baseball! There was plenty of room in the house for all 7 of us to be comfortable! I would stay here again!
Just a few blocks from Main Street Miller Beach with coffee shop and local restaurants. House feels brand new after recent renovation. Minutes away from Miller Beach where our kids loved playing in the sand and water. Close to Indiana Dunes National Park which we loved exploring.
This was a very nice place, comfortable and clean. We came to Gary to visit Indiana Dunes and spend a day on the beach. The location was good for both, the neighborhood was very residential. There were no claims of having an outdoor space, so the listing wasn't misleading at all, but it was a bit of a disappointment that there was no place to relax outside. The distance to the beach and Indiana Dunes was perfect. There were some great restaurants close by as well.
The house was really cute and as pictured. Missed having some outdoor space to spread out and the neighborhood wasn't the best. Also, the thermostat kept moving at night and we all woke up sweating with it set at 74 degrees.
My cousins and I gather once a year at a halfway point to get together and this year it landed us in Gary IN.This place is in a good location from the Indiana Dunes and the main strip in Gary. It is walking distance from 18th St Brewery and very close to Miller Beach which has a super cute ice cream shop. The house is very clean and the host is attentive. The house is set up to not waste a single inch of space.
This home is very clean and comfortable. We appreciated the towels and bed linens as well as the bathroom essentials. The bedrooms are very comfortable; the house layout and furniture do not waste a bit of space. The folding chairs and buffet table allow for additional dining and game play, and provide a useful and thoughtful addition. The multiple hangout areas meant we could send the teens to play video games in the basement while we prepared meals and worked puzzles upstairs. The walkability of the neighborhood and the quiet street with ample parking (3 vehicles) were appreciated. We enjoyed a few meals out on Lake StreetâMiller Beach pizza for lunch and Delâs Fun Bar for breakfast. The Marquette Park beach, Lake Street beach and National Park Douglass Center were only a short drive away.Kenyon is an attentive and helpful host. We love the area and plan to return.
