Surplombez le port de South Haven Ă  quelques pas de South Beach et du centre-ville

Notre maison donne sur la riviĂšre Noire Ă  quelques pas du centre-ville de South Haven et Ă  7 minutes de marche le long de la Riverwalk jusqu'Ă  South Beach et le phare de South Haven.
Le premier niveau de notre maison est un chalet de plage décoré avec toutes les commodités dont vous avez besoin pour des vacances reposantes à la plage avec la commodité des boutiques et des restaurants de South Haven littéralement au coin de la rue.

Nous offrons:
2 chambres, 1 lit queen et 1 avec lits jumeaux et 1 salle de bain complĂšte
Cuisine complÚte avec tous les ustensiles de préparation nécessaires, vaisselle et grill extérieur.
Tous les draps et les serviettes sont fournis. Apportez simplement votre serviette de plage préférée!
WiFi gratuit, télévision par cùble et lecteur DVD
Grand porche grillagé pour dßner, se détendre et observer les bateaux dans le port actif de South Haven
Nous sommes idéalement adaptés pour une petite famille de 4 ou 4 adultes désireux de partager.

South Haven devient un paradis hivernal qui commence gĂ©nĂ©ralement pendant la pĂ©riode des fĂȘtes. Le ski de fond, la raquette, le patin Ă  glace et la luge sont quelques-unes des activitĂ©s Ă  proximitĂ©, en particulier lors du Ice Breaker Fest en fĂ©vrier!

En saison, généralement du week-end du Memorial Day au Labor Day, nous préférons les locations hebdomadaires du samedi au samedi à 1400 $ par semaine.
Des tarifs journaliers de 250 $ (minimum de 3 jours) peuvent ĂȘtre disponibles sur demande.
Hors saison, généralement du 15 septembre au 15 mai, les tarifs sont réduits de 30 à 50%.
L'enregistrement a lieu aprÚs 15h00 et le départ avant 11h00.
Tous les frais (nettoyage, etc.) sont inclus dans le tarif hebdomadaire.

We had a great stay with wonderful hosts. The location is ideal for walking into town and down to the lighthouse and beach. Having a full kitchen is always a plus. We were very happy with our stay.

Relaxing Getaway

I had always noticed this property while walking out to the lighthouse and I mentioned how nice it would be to stay there. I was thrilled when I found it on VRBO. It was everything I imagined it would be.... relaxing, super clean, beautiful view and friendly owners. We loved the manicured grounds and especially the rocks!!! Cannot wait to visit again.

Perfect stay in Michigan!

Wonderful cottage and perfect for my family. There were freshly baked cookies on the counter when we arrived and fresh flowers placed throughout the rooms. The front porch might be my favorite part, but it was all so lovely and fit our needs. Great location for the beach and to get to downtown shopping and restaurants. The hosts are very helpful and kind. I hope to come back someday!

Amazing stay and location!

Our stay at this property was wonderful. The location couldn’t have been better, with views from the screened in porch of the channel and easy access to get to the boardwalk/beach. We ate all of our meals at the table on the porch. Our children loved the porch swing and admiring the many flowers/garden on the property. They also had everything we needed to cook as well as books and games for the kiddos. Such a wonderful experience, we would definitely stay again!

So lovely!

We stayed at this lovely rental for a mother/daughter weekend. The home has a beautiful hillside garden and is decorated inside with unique, cozy touches. It has everything you'd need! We sipped coffee on the screened in porch, walked to the beach and just relaxed. Looking forward to another visit!

Lovely and Serene!

We were delighted as soon as we walked in the door of this lovely home away from home. The rooms and amenities were perfect. The beds are super comfortable. And the screened porch looking out over the Black River is such a special spot for relaxing. There is also a lovely garden that was starting its spring bloom with beautiful tulips. We hope to stay here again in the not too distant future.

Anniversary Getaway

Booked this place for an anniversary getaway. It was unfortunately too cold to enjoy the beach which was very close. But the view of the lake and proximity to the downtown was perfect. We enjoyed many places downtown but dinner at Taste was by far our favorite. The place was perfect for a couple or family with 1 or 2 kids. The hosts live above but we had all the privacy we needed and they were available for any recommendations if needed. Definitely recommend!

Another great stay on top of the world

This was our second visit and it felt like coming home. Loved sitting on the screened porch, imagining life in the past along the river. We cannot say enough about the clean and homey setting. The flowers were still in full bloom and we were lucky to see 2 peacocks stroll by as we had coffee on the porch. We always visit Pilgrim Haven and the dunes at Saugatuck to get back to nature. Came back fully relaxed and cannot wait to visit again. John, Sally and Dan are so nice to visit with!

Ideal Location

This is the second year in a row we've stayed here with our two daughters (10 & 12). It is the perfect size and ideal location to enjoy the beach, pier, marina, restaurants and shops. John, Sally & Dan keep it impeccably clean, the kitchen has everything we need, and the property is gorgeous with all the wildflowers. We appreciate being able to store our bikes and beach gear in the covered breezeway so that it is easy to access and load up each day. Thanks!

Perfect location for a wonderful vacation!

Our stay at Crimson Sun was just perfect. It is a lovely home surrounded by beautiful gardens and it couldn’t have been more peaceful and relaxing. The hosts are very kind and accommodating and there are thoughtful touches throughout the home. There is a beautiful screened in front porch that overlooks the harbor and it is just lovely to have meals at the table there or to play games or to just simply relax on the porch swing with coffee in the morning or wine in the evening. It is a quick walk to the beach or to town and a bike ride through the neighborhood was so nice. We had a fabulous vacation and would love to come back here someday. Thank you!

Cool week in June

The property was clean and in a great location near South Beach. We were in the downstairs portion of the house. There was a nice front porch overlooking the black river and boat docks close to the lake. I had my coffee and read my morning paper there each day. Good communication with the owners throughout the stay. My daughter and son-in-law from New York stayed with us, so it was fine for 4 adults. Used the grill for a couple of meals and the kitchen has all you need. We had a very pleasant stay at this location for a very cool week in June in Western Michigan.

Great location!

First, I want to compliment the host (John) who was very nice and great with communication before and during the whole trip. Second- the location was fantastic. It was the last house on a dead end right be the lake. I loved sitting on the covered porch swing and watching the boats. We could walk downtown (a couple blocks) or walk down to the Riverfront walk. Watching the beautiful sunset was a bonus. We ate dinner and shopped or just walked around South Haven. That town is hopping. We had to wait to get in restaurants. We also took a short drive to Saugantuck which was a beautiful artsy/charming town. We walked along the waterway, as well as ate there. Not sure why I waited so long to visit that area. It quickly become a favorite. Enjoy your trip if you go! Linda

This is one of our favorite places to stay. The view of the marina, and the manicured lawn and gardens, is quite wonderful. Very peaceful, and relaxing. And yet, you are but a 5 minute walk to downtown. It is a location, and a property, that can't be beat.

Owners Sally and John have lived or vacationed in Southwest Michigan for over 50 years. Crimson Sun became our permanent home in 2012, though we purchased the property in 2001, since John retired from a lifelong career with a global management and technology services company. Sally is an artist who enjoys depicting local scenes and activity wherever they happen to be in the world. Her creativity is fascinating and on display in our home and wherever else we have lived.
We enjoy travel having lived in Illinois, North Carolina, Washington state, Melbourne Australia and southwest Michigan. In addition, we've been fortunate to have visited every State in the USA, Canada, Mexico, much of Europe (Italy has been a favourite destination), the UK, Iceland, Ethiopia, Turkey, Greece, Nepal, India, most of Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysian Borneo. We love the outdoors, natural flora and fauna including a passion for our natural environment. We completely rebuilt our home re-using or recycling everything possible dumpster-free. And, we're currently working to further improve our energy consumption and return our surrounding landscape to an indigenous and maintenance-free environment.

We enjoy meeting people from all walks of life, love to discuss any of our interests and most importantly, truly enjoy hearing the life stories of others. At the same time, we fully respect your desire to be "on holiday" with a break from other people. So, our goal is to help you achieve whatever you intend by visiting our part of the world.
