Enjoyed our stayâvery comfortable cabin with plenty of space for larger families with kids. The drive access to the cabin may be challenging for some vehicles. We had no trouble getting in-out on multiple occasions. If you really want to take advantage of boat dock and access from cabin shoreline, check with owner on lake water levels. We would stay here again of we had known that.
Nice scenic lakeside cabin with covered boatdock for fishing. Rustic furnishings but attractive and comfortable. Nice large living room with lake view and lots of comfortable seating. Nice deck. Driveway is a little rough with recent rains
My husband and a few friends rented this adorable house for a weekend of fishing! The owner had already warned us about the water being way up, but it didn't dampen the trip. They caught fish, enjoyed time outdoors, and it was the perfect size for the party of 6. We appreciate the communication from the owner - the house was clean & inviting, and the weather was perfect for fishing. Furniture was comfy, kitchen was stocked with necessities, and location was perfect.
My family loves staying at this cabin, we have stayed here many times over the last few years and always look forward to coming back. Its great having the dock for the boat, and place is nice and secluded for a relaxing weekend out of the city.Highly recommend
My husband and I celebrated our 10-year anniversary at this cabin and had a wonderful time. Being able to be away from everything and enjoy a few days of seclusion was exactly what we needed. Everything in the listing was exactly as it said, which we greatly appreciated. I loved the projector set up - very unique. We had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, the walkway to the dock was under water, so my husband had to swim our gear out on the canoe, as he attempted to get in it but it would immediately tip. This was obviously completed out of the owner's control, and we understand that. My husband didn't mind, but with all the rain, there was no other way. We appreciated the space and time to be able to get away for a few days!
Very cozy, relaxing experience, just what we needed for a short getaway close to home that allowed us to enjoy the sunshine, nature and fishing. Great place to relax
We had so much fun here! Pelican point has boat rentals and the cabin is so homey. Really enjoyed looking at all of their pictures and using their cabin to make memories of our own!
Overall relaxing stay. Older property that has the 65 year rustic charm. Some upkeep and maintenance is due on the dock area and road in, but nice retreat for the weekend.
We had a great time at the Primrose cabin for our third stay!
Ken is a great host and very quick to respond. We had no issues and spent a lot of time outside as the weather was beautiful.
Pull down screen was great and we streamed my beloved Dodgers without problem.
Consider this hideaway when you are booking!
I cannot recommend the Primrose cabin highly enough. We've stayed in numerous rentals at several Oklahoma lakes, but the charm of this one is off the charts! It's cozy, but not cramped. Full of history, yet some modern conveniences. The family photos add to the good vibes and encourage guests to make their own special memories.
The neighborhood was quiet and the cove peaceful. The stairs down to the lake are on a gentle slope which was a nice bonus. This has everything you need for a relaxing getaway.
The cabin was decorated beautifully. Relaxation and nostalgia are definitely in the air. The decorations and number of books/games made it seem like you were taking a walk through time. We all wish that we could live there. None of us were ready to leave. All the stars!
nice without the normal amenities you would expect for the price you pay. ( sorry ).
Upon arrival we could not get the door to unlock with the given code, had to wait around outside until the owner was contacted be text to reinstall the remote code to open the door. Not a game changer, but a little irritating. upon entering the cabin, it was as the pictures show. I do travel a good number of times throughout the year and never have been less impressed with what is expected of the people who are renting the cabin. All the diches, including the pots, pans, and silverware were filthy, and the first hour had to be used to wash them all before they could be used. It was expected and we were told that all things used had to be cleaned before we left the cabin, the sheets, towels, and wash rags, had to be placed in the provided dirty cloths hamper, and counter tops had to be cleaned. The trash containers had to be emptied and removed from the cabin and carried up the hill to
We stayed for a lil weekend getaway from the city and it was great 19 13 and 10 year old loved it and were able to entertain themselves the whole time there. Warm cozy beautiful family home. Definitely planning another trip back. The host was easy to get sold ahold of and have great instructions.
We had another great trip to the primrose cabin, we have stayed here many times and Ken is always a pleasure to deal with. The cabin is always clean and in good order and it's great having your own boat dock.
This is a cozy cabin right on the lake with a covered dock. Even though it was extremely hot outside we had a blast swimming, fishing and canoeing at the dock. Ken Primrose is an excellent guest and The Primrose Cabin is a great place to reconnect with family and friends. Love the pull down projector and all the family pictures at the cabin. Makes you feel like a home away from home!! Can't wait to go back.
The place is awesom, very secluded while easy to reach. House is equiped with everything you need for prolonged stay, Best part is the dock where you can fish, like 50 yards from the house. Definitely will be back!
Very cozy and quaint older cabin but clean and comfortable. Beautiful lake view and access. My grandson was in Heaven catching big catfish and bass off the dock. We truly had a wonderful stay. Jeannie Colvin
We have stayed at the Primrose cabin many times over the last few years, Ken is always great to deal with and the cabin is a wonderful cozy little, semi secluded place that's nothing fancy but has everything you need and just feels like your staying with family.
Can't wait to go back, love it!

This was a wonderful place to cozy up by the fire, drink a cuppa tea, and read a book (or three). I needn't have bothered bringing my own as the cabin collection was large and eclectic. The weekend was was peaceful and perfect.
Vrbo is a way for us to share our personal family space with others. The Cabin is filled with lots of sentiment and personal history. It's been in our family for over 70 years. My grandfather bought the cabin in 1953 - the year after the Neosho River was flooded to make Ft. Gibson Lake. We hope you enjoy the cabin as much as we have. I have intentionally left a very warm and rustic feel to the cabin because it had such a special place in my life as a child. I hope you will make some special memories as well.
