Great host, 2nd stay

Donna and Rob was a wonderful host they were present even for a late check in at 8 PM. The cabin was cozy, clean and well maintained. We had an next day with the AC, Rob stayed back and fixed the issue at night 11 o’clock, Donna was quite gracious and getting us some pizza for the evening and even delivering right to the cottage. Highly recommend this place.

Hill country get away.

The location and property are great. The best place we have ever stayed at in the Hill country. Donna and Rob were super. My only complaint was with Verbo. They suck dealing with.

The owners met us at check-in and showed us all the properties assets which were numerous!! Super clean, well stocked. Breakfast was in the frig. We’ve stayed at many VRBO properties and never seen that. This is a perfect hill country hideaway.

So relaxing!

This place was so relaxing which is what we came to do after a hard year of work. Such a comfortable bed so we had great sleep each night. Watched the deer and the hummingbirds. Watched my doxie run free with no leash as it’s all fenced in. Practically lived on the front porch. It was what my husband and I needed very badly. Wish we could have stayed longer! Aiming to be back soon!

Beautiful cabin in a lovely valley

We had a great time staying in the beautifully decorated and comfortable cabin. Donna and Rob are the most accommodating hosts I have ever experienced. Having Breakfast foods already in the fridge was so helpful! I think my fur baby had the best time though watching all the deer. The hummingbird feeder near the porch where we enjoyed our morning coffee was a plus too! Highly recommended this rental if ever in the area and need a place to stay!!

Relaxation in Hill Country

From our arrival to our departure, everything was wonderful. Donna and Rob made us feel at home immediately. Coffee, eggs, bacon, O.J. cereal, milk and cream, all waiting for us so that we didn't even have to rush out to a grocery store until the next day. Even a few Hershey chocolates made the end of the day so special!! Would highly recommend this as a go to place for anyone wanting to be at a central location to visit Hill Country, San Antonio, Bulverde, and Fredericksburg, without having to drive more than 1/2 to 3/4 of an hr. Sitting outside watching all the deer, hummingbirds peace and quiet and more stars than you could ever imagine. This should be your first choice to visit Hill Country.

My husband and I have lived in San Antonio for 30+ years. We both retired here from military family backgrounds. We have always dreamed of owning and operating a bed and breakfast/rental property. This location was perfect and just the right amount of land to enjoy the hill country, abundant wildlife and relaxing lifestyle.
We are excited to recently acquire the "Guthrie Meadow Honey Bees" to our property. We are excited to become "beekeepers" and help support our pollinators with an variety of pollen from our surrounding areas. These are friendly Italian Honey bees and their primary function is to gather pollen. We look forward to collecting their honey next year! We love to fish, hike, kayak and take weekend road trips!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

It is easy to see why we love this property, it offers a beautiful view of the hill country. There is an abundant display of wildlife as you sit on the porch and watch a variety of birds/finches/woodpeckers and dove and wild turkey, deer and much more. The sunsets are the most enjoyable, especially this time of year when the weather is cooler.

Star-gazing! Bird watching. Quiet and peaceful. Hill Country life. Sunsets. Wildlife. Close to boutique shopping, fishing, wineries, wedding venues. Guadalupe River State Park, Boerne Lake for Stand-up Paddle board and kayak rentals, The Round-UP outdoor venue for local country artists. This quaint little town offers boutique shopping, several breweries and local wineries that are sure to please.
