Votre propre retraite privĂ©e est nichĂ©e sur une pente surplombant le vignoble et les montagnes. Plan d'Ă©tage ouvert avec une vue de chaque fenĂȘtre. Cuisine entiĂšrement Ă©quipĂ©e avec comptoirs en quartz, micro-ondes, lave-vaisselle, cuisiniĂšre, cafetiĂšre et un premier petit-dĂ©jeuner de bienvenue dans votre rĂ©frigĂ©rateur. Lit Queen avec literie de qualitĂ© supĂ©rieure, salon confortable, salle Ă  manger, douche Ă  l'italienne et tĂ©lĂ©vision Ă  Ă©cran plat 40 pouces avec satellite. Grand patio avec des siĂšges et un barbecue Ă  gaz.
L'emplacement est idéalement situé entre Bedford et Roanoke en Virginie. PrÚs du mémorial du jour J, de la promenade Blue Ridge et du lac Smith Mountain.

This cabin was perfectly comfortable! Fresh, clean, well equipped, serene, and cared for by such thoughtful hosts. Dog friendly was a huge bonus for us and our pups loved it, also! With the hiking trails and pond on property, you never have to leave. We will definitely come back to this little slice of heaven!

Excellent location and cabin

We love staying here. The cabin is exceptionally clean which is very important to us. The location is excellent with easy access to Roanoke, Bedford, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin is well stocked, so that when guests arrive they are free with much of what they need for their stay.

Quiet Getaway

The property is beautiful, and there are plenty of activities within a 30 minute drive of the cabin. The host was very friendly and responsive. We enjoyed hiking on the maintained trail on the property.

Dogs heaven on earth

The cabin is just as beautiful as the photos. Everything was so organized, well labeled and prepared for guests. The property was so private and the scenery of the vineyard was amazing. We enjoyed walking through the fenced in vineyard with our dogs several times a day and didn’t have to worry about them running off.

Peaceful Getaway

We had an excellent stay. The cabin and grounds offered a private and peaceful getaway (which was exactly what we were looking for). The property had trails, a pond, fenced in vineyard, beautiful views and plenty of wildlife ... not to mention farm fresh eggs! The cabin was very well appointed and had everything we needed. Most importantly our dog gave this place a "two paws up" review! Can't rave enough about the hosts! Communication was great and they were readily available if we needed anything. We're already looking forward to our next stay.

Excellent intimate stay for a bday weekend getaway

Not sure why but I was a little underwhelmed when I first searched out stays in this area and came upon this listing. It was not our first choice but it was definitely the dream stay I envisioned. Cozy, private, gorgeous mountainous views, and hosts, were all perfection. So many unexpected bonuses to make my fiancĂ© and myself and our two pups’ stay the absolute best. 10/10 for us!

Absolutely Wonderful!!

I need to give this more than 5 stars! I cannot brag on these hosts more! This was, hands down, the best VRBO experience we've ever had! The hosts were amazing and made us feel so welcomed before we even stepped foot on the property. It was exactly as listed with beautiful views, privacy, quiet, and filled with so many details to make your trip fabulous! It was close enough to Bedford for day trips. We will definitely be returning sometime again soon! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!!

A Quiet Retreat

Staying at Melissa and Phyllis's cabin was a complete delight! The cabin had everything you could think of needing and the hosts were responsive to any questions or concerns. The cabin was well stocked and had personal touches added to make the stay even more enjoyable - fresh eggs from their hens, welcome notes, bowl/bedding for my pup, etc. The property itself was beautiful and we spent the day walking the trails and down near the pond. It was a restful time away and I look forward to returning!

Perfect place in Thaxton

This place was wonderful. The setting is quiet and serene, which is perfect for a getaway. The house is a perfect size, and it was immaculate. The hosts had thought of everything. If I listed everything, I wouldn't be able to finish. This was an anniversary getaway for my wife and I, and when we arrived, there was a "Happy Anniversary" banner hanging over the patio doors. That was the cherry on top of the cake. Needless to say we're going back in a few months.

Safe Haven

My husband and I had to travel to Roanoke for business, and decided to have a little getaway for our anniversary. We stayed in this cozy cabin January 19-21 2024. The cabin is very well cared for with adorable decor and beautiful artwork. It's very clean and the bed is comfortable. But what was impressive were all the thoughtful amenities provided for guests who've traveled a ways and maybe didn't want to go back out for a meal or to a store. We especially loved the blackberry jam and granola. It's obvious that this cabin is not just a moneymaker, but rather a labor of love. The owners truly care about each person who stays there, and it shows. The property has beautiful trails to walk. Had it not been so windy, we would have liked to explore more. We are hoping to return in warmer weather so we can do that! If you are looking for a quiet little slice of Heaven to get away to...THIS IS IT!

We had an amazing stay at this country cabin on the 10-acre farm. The natural beauty surrounding us was truly breathtaking-the vineyards were gorgeous and we lucky enough to see deer every day, along with wild turkeys roaming the property. Our host, Melissa went above and beyond, kindly stocking the cabin with food until we got our own groceries. The property itself is so relaxing, especially if you are traveling with a pet. There are several hiking trails that wind through the woods, making it the perfect place for a dog to run off leash and explore safely. Peaceful, scenic and welcoming, this cabin exceeded our expectations. We cannot recommend staying here enough!

When the World is too Peopley-- THIS is the place!

We had the most peaceful and soul-filling getaway at this beautiful property. The cabin and grounds are incredibly well kept, and even the tiniest of details were thoughtfully provided — from a well-appointed kitchen to the morning breakfast that was such a treat.We loved walking around the gorgeous property — the pond, woods, and vineyard were all picture-perfect, like something out of a postcard. It was the perfect couples’ escape for when the world gets a little too peopley — we went over 24 hours without seeing or hearing another human, and honestly, it was glorious.Melissa was wonderful — she was quick to reply to emails and texts, and was incredibly friendly and gracious throughout our stay.We fell asleep to thunderstorms bouncing off the mountains, watched fireflies dance in the yard, and even had a baby deer stop by to say good morning. The bed slept wonderfully (and that’s saying a lot — we’re picky about our sleep!).If you’re looking for a place to recharge, reconnect, and not have to share space with anyone except maybe the wildlife, this is it. We can’t wait to come back!

This is one of the best VRBOs we have ever stayed at...the location was great for our needs, the cabin was very clean and cozy, they have all the amenities for staying in to grill and chill! Lovely views of the vineyards with mountains in the background, beautiful walking trails, a fishing pond stocked with plenty of bass and bream. The best part about it all is that you're completely secluded and surrounded by nature. We will definitely be back!

Relaxing Birthday Weekend

I’ve been searching for months to find a relaxing and secluded spot to unwind for my birthday. This little cabin stood out! Check in was super easy! Just text the host when you are arriving, and the door will be opened prior to your arrival. The cabin was exactly as described and if you read the reviews, you’ll know, it was fully stocked with all amenities. The room gives a hotel suite vibe, but cozier. The breakfast amenities were an excellent touch! Fresh eggs, blackberry jam, English muffins! Yum! We really enjoyed the light walking we were able to do on the many trails. Bringing our dog was one of the main reasons I chose this cabin, and he was absolutely thrilled with the long walks and many sniffs! He was exhausted by the end of the day. We really appreciate that this spot was so dog friendly!! They even left him a treat to enjoy! We cooked on the grill, and enjoyed the views. There were plenty of deer, our pup found a turtle, and we heard lots of other wildlife in the distance. An absolutely beautiful place! We will definitely stay again! Oh! And I really appreciated the Happy Birthday sign they hung for me! That was so sweet!
