16 acres of north woods is the perfect backdrop for your Grand Marais/Lutsen adventure. Follow the winding drive ‘Into The Woods’ to this idyllic and extremely private retreat nestled along Cut Face Creek. Completely renovated with a modern Scandinavian vibe that makes it easy to unwind and tough to leave. Perfect for a romantic weekend for two, or a relaxing getaway with family or friends.

Into the Woods is extremely centrally located:
- 1 mile north of Lake Superior (you can see the lake from the driveway - it's that close!)
- 3 miles to Cascade River State Park
- Less than 10 minutes to downtown Grand Marais. In fact the cabin is off of County Road 7 which is the main artery right into town (also very bikeable!). From the driveway, take a right and you'll be in town within 7 minutes or take a left, head down the hill to 61, take another left, and head into town.
- 15 minutes from Lutsen ski resort, North Shore Winery/Cidery, & Superior National Golf Course
- Three bedrooms: one bedroom on the main floor and two bedrooms on the second level.
- One spa-like bathroom with heated floors, walk-in shower with dual shower heads, separate toilet room, and full sized washer/dryer.
- Dedicated work area with high-speed fiber optic internet
- Chef's kitchen with all the tools and amenities necessary for your culinary adventures

** Please note: there is a slight hill at the entrance to our driveway that will be tricky to navigate in the winter without 4-wheel drive. The driveway is plowed automatically when 2" of snow or more fall, but we do not recommend you visit in the winter months without 4-wheel drive. You are responsible for your own tow should you get stuck on the property.

We had a wonderful stay in Grand Marais. The cabin was very cozy and the property is peaceful and relaxing!!! The cabin had all of the amenities we needed!!

A lovely cabin all around. You can tell they’ve put a lot of work into it. Lots of great details. A great location just 10 minutes to Grand Marais. Our family of four had a wonderful stay!

Sometimes when you rent a cabin in the woods, you have to compromise-small bathroom, small kitchen, small bedrooms-in order to get out under the stars. NOT HERE!! This is a darling cabin with all the amenities! The owners have thought of everything. You will want for nothing. It has nice dark skies and is still only a fifteen minute drive from restaurants, shopping and groceries. Wonderful fire circle!! The kitchen is fully stocked and the dining table has a lovely view of the beautiful trees on the property. The livingroom is cozy and has a gas fireplace. Everything was neat and tidy! I look forward to coming back and bringing family!

Great North Shore Getaway! Really enjoyed the thoughtful use and decoration of the cabin. Loved the gas stove and top quality kitchen utensils and serving ware. The record player was a pleasant surprise and fun to use. Enjoyed a fire each night. The location was great - we explored around Grand Marais and took a day trip to Grand Portage. Overall an excellent experience!

Cozy, inviting, provided the little extras that not all rentals have. Any moments when communication needed to take place outside of the norm were handled timely and professionally. Loved the shower; helped with some unexpected back pain. Washer and dryer came in handy at this final stop of our North Shore road trip.

GM Hideaway!

Our family stayed here while visiting relatives in GM for our annual get together. So close to everything GM has to offer. So warm and cozy, with all the comforts of home. Cannot wait to stay here again!

Wonderful stay

We had a delightful stay with 4 adults at Into the Woods. The house is beautiful and every inch is impeccably designed. It had everything we needed for a long weekend and more. It has great proximity to Grand Marais. Daniele was a very communicative host and made sure we had what we needed. I highly recommend this house and would definitely stay again.

This property is immaculate. The hosts are incredibly responsive prior to, during and after our stay. Walking into the property we were more than pleasantly surprised. It’s a fantastic location along the North Shore and the house is beautifully finished. The kitchen is perfectly stocked for making any type of meal you want to make. We had friends and family over for dinner who were in town for the Lutsen 99er and all were equally impressed. Battery car? Yes, there’s a charger. Add the bonfire pit and the turntable with some classic vinyl. Yes, I said classic vinyl. Either relive the ol’ days or enjoy the experience for the first time. Perfect for a summer stay since it’s between Grand Marais and Lutsen with all the activities at your fingertip. Or head there in the winter, bring books and/or puzzles and choose not to leave for a week. Enjoy it as much as we did. 11/10.

The cabin was a great vacation spot - very quiet with plenty of room to park. Everything was beautifully decorated with attention to the smallest details. So many amenities were also provided. Close to State Parks and Grand Marais. It really doesn't get any better. My adult children in their early 20's got a kick out of playing music with albums on the stereo.My only suggestion would be to provide a few more bath towels - other than that it was perfect!

Magical Cabin

Over the years we have stayed at several places and this was by far the best. It was decorated beautifully but most importantly it was functional and comfortable. The beds and bedding were comfortable. The outside amenities were fantastic. We enjoyed the wood firepit but also appreciated the gas firepit on the deck. The kitchen was stocked with everything you may need. Danielle's welcome and communication was wonderful. The location was perfect - Secluded but not too far from town. We visit the North Shore yearly and hope to stay here again in the future years.

Cozy, clean, charming cabin! We had a little trouble with the first entry and the hosts immediately called and got us in. The cabin was very well stocked and we didn’t have to shop for anything. The decor was so tasteful, thoughtful, detailed, and up-north cozy, and this really added to our whole family’s enjoyment of the stay.
