A great place to come after touring all day. The patio was very private and fun to feed the fish in the pond!! The bbq was great on a warm evening also. Comfy beds and extras in the fridge!!
This home, located in downtown St. Johnâs provided everything we needed. A fully equipped kitchen, a lovely patio area, comfortable beds and spotlessly clean.
Bonnie was accessible in advance and booking/check in was simple. I highly recommend this property.
This is a very pleasant house, spacious and well maintained. We loved the backyard! The location is perfect, easy walking distance to all attractions in St John's.
Excellent location for your stay in St. Johnâs.
The accommodation is super clean and well appointed. The area is close to everything in the harbour area yet quiet at night. Bonnie is a very attentive host.
This property is in a perfect location, short walk to to the downtown pubs and shopping yet in a very quiet residential area. This location is also very close to a grocery store and neighborhood cafes.
The kitchen was well equipped and there is a small but lovely outdoor area to enjoy.
Bonnie was very responsive to our questions, overall a great experience.
Stayed 6 nights and used it as home base for our day trips all over the peninsula. Comfy, cozy and all around wonderful. Two air conditioners on the bedrooms levels were much appreciated on the hot days though one is very loud. Still used it every night and had earplugs.
Stayed for the second time due to proximity to Bannerman Park for the annual Folk Festival. Was a joy to be able to run back to the townhouse in between acts to change clothes, eat, nap etc. Bonnie is a joy to work with. She was so responsive to our requests and we particularly appreciated her coming over at 9 PM when we messed up using the keypad lock and couldnât get in (totally our mistake!). The wi-fi is excellent and the addition of a window air conditioner unit on the second floor made sleeping comfortable. Made all of our meals in the well stocked and roomy kitchen, which saved a lot of money on eating out. Thanks for everything Bonnie!
We stayed here for 5 days and cannot find anything but positives to say about our stay. All was as described and absolutely a few minutes from downtown activities and restaurants. Quiet neighbour hood with a lovely private space outdoors in the back yard. We would recommend it to anyone, a couple, small family or two couples.
We planned a one week getaway with our family. Bonnie went above and beyond to give us a real taste of Newfoundland hospitality. We wanted to do a lobster boil- Bonnie gave us ideas where to buy the lobster, she brought over two big boiling pots, a propane burner and tongs- she even came back to get the garbage so there wouldnât be any unnecessary odours. Her clean and tidy house was in the perfect spot to access downtown in a short walk, and access the highway quickly. An adorable backyard space and parking pass was a bonus too! We would definitely stay there again without hesitation! Bonnie is the best!
A clean and well-appointed sweet little house tucked in to a quiet corner of St. John's - but within easy walking of historic downtown. The host is quick and clear with communication (and outstandingly patient!). It was a frazzling week for us - but we looked forward to going back to this charming house!
I stayed here for just under 2 weeks while in St. Johnâs for work. I found the place to be very quiet and peaceful, warm and cozy, and the garden was beautiful to look at (although the weather was too rainy / cool / windy to enjoy sitting in it). Guests should know that they may be required to feed the koi fish in the backyard pool a few times per day, and that the 2nd floor tub/shower combo is usable as a bathtub only. I did have to take care of cleaning some dust on the portable fans and blinds in the 2nd floor bedroom, and the home shows some signs of wear and tear, but itâs safe and comfy and the location (near downtown and beautiful Bannerman park) canât be beat. Bonnie was very responsive in communicating and Iâd recommend this little townhouse for long or short stays.
It was nice to stay in a jelly bean house close to downtown and the harbour. Great walking to most places. The house is a good size and has a lovely back patio. It is an old house so light sleepers beware. Also keep all food in the refrigerator and doors closed as we did have mice one evening. Highly recommended for one or two couples!
Well appointed and very clean. Good area and close to downtown. The house was comfortable. Only issue was the noise the upstairs bed made when you moved!
Three wonderful weeks. Close to everything, shopping, restaurants, live music and most of all friendly people. Our host Bonnie responded within minutes and made sure everything was to our liking. We would stay there again without hesitation!
Clean, well equipped kitchen, easy parking, close walking to downtown. Relaxing backyard. Appliances worked well. Superb communication with owner. An excellent experience.
I purchased this house in 1995. Renovated it completely in 2007. Have lived there myself from 1995 to 1999 and from 2011 to 2013. The neighborhood has changed a lot since I first lived there but there are many things that have stayed the same. Many of the same people still live in the neighborhood and I cherish the wonderful neighbors that I have there. It's a pleasure to step out onto the doorstep and feel the charm that is "Downtown St. John's". I love my "little house on the corner" and hopefully, it brings you the enjoyment that it does for me.
The perfect location in Downtown St. John's. Not too close to the bars and clubs but close enough to walk there. Next door to beautiful Bannerman Park and the St. John's Folk Festival held there every year. Walk to anywhere!
