Welcome to our new vacation home in the Hills of PortalĂłn! Located close to Manuel Antonio, Dominical, and Uvita, and only a few minutes from beautiful beaches. Take in the ocean breezes while you float in the stunning infinity pool or lounge in the private outdoor tub. Watch the waves crashing on the beach from the swing in the private covered deck. 4 WHEEL DRIVE REQUIRED. The road to the house is very good, but does have one steep section that requires 4 wheel drive to climb. The driveway is also very good but fairly steep, as the house sits on a high ridge overlooking the ocean. Any 4x4 vehicle should be fine. House has full solar, battery backup, and on grid power so unlike most homes in the area, power outages are very rare!
Relax and enjoy the sounds of nature while marveling at the spectacular ocean views in this brand-new vacation home perched high on a mountain ridge overlooking the Pacific coast. Located halfway between Manuel Antonio / Quepos and Dominical, 3 hours from San Jose (SJO) airport, the home has 3 bedrooms - 2 king beds 1 queen bed - and 3 full baths, all bedrooms and the living room have air conditioning. 4 wheel drive is required to get to the home. The home has WiFi (100Mbps) with fiber optic internet, and a fully stocked kitchen and coffee area with espresso, regular coffee, decaf, and assorted teas. The property is very private and peaceful. Home has private gate, security system, and neighborhood has a nighttime security guard for added safety, though this is a very safe area.
You will have access to the entire house, which includes a large yard, infinity pool, covered patio (pergola), and outdoor tub with fountain and incredible ocean and mountain views. The driveway makes a great walking trail to view toucans and other native birds. The sunrises and sunsets here are spectacular!
The home features stunning ocean views from every room! Children are welcome, and we have a crib, high chair, and other supplies for children available at no extra charge. Fully-equipped chef's kitchen with lots of cooking supplies as well as many of the common spices you will need to cook delicious meals. We also have a private chef we can recommend, if you want to take the night off! We can provide a full list of services and activities available in the area, after you book your stay.
There are several excellent beaches just a short drive away. From the house, it is about 7 minutes down to the highway. From there, Playa Linda (our favorite beach) is about 8 minutes south. You will also find many restaurants and small grocery stores (mini-supers) within 5-10 minutes once you reach the highway. For full size grocery stores, we recommend stopping in Quepos on the way to the house, or there is a full-size grocery store named BM opening in December 2024 in Dominical.

We love our guests!  My wife Aracely and I live in the neighborhood, just around the corner from Brisas Del Mar, and we love introducing guests to our area of Costa Rica and all it has to offer!  Many of our guests visit us on their first trip to Costa Rica, and we love to share our recommendations for activities and service providers in the area.  We want our guests to have an amazing experience on their vacation, and we pride ourselves on being super responsive and helpful.

Hills of Portalon is a beautiful neighborhood on the top of a mountain overlooking the Pacific ocean, with incredible views of the ocean, mountains, and jungle.  It includes three nature reserve areas, and native wildlife abounds - including toucans, parrots, aracaris, monkeys, sloths and many other species.  It is also incredibly peaceful and quiet, while still being close to great beaches, restaurants, and perfectly located between Manuel Antonio and Dominical.
